I had a thought on the Lindsay/Gordon situation and wanted to hear your thoughts.

With Melvin Gordon coming into the mix I think HE should become the bell cow back as long as he is capable and producing. I THINK this would open a new role for Phillip Lindsay. Is it possible Phil could take on a role similar to one of my favorite players of all time…. Darren Sproles? Being utilized as an all-around weapon rushing, receiving, special packages, and returning punts Phil would be a dangerous weapon for the team and also extend his NFL career.

It’s safe to say Phillip Lindsay is my FAVORITE player and I hope the Gordon addition doesn’t hurt his chances to be a lifetime Bronco. Do you guys think Phil has the tools to succeed in this “Darren Sproles-like” Role? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

Hey guys!

It’s a moot point, but I want to play devil’s advocate for a moment on Royce Freeman’s behalf. I get what the numbers say, he’s not as productive as he was touted to be coming out of college. It’s seems to me that he’s been utilized entirely wrong for his skillset. He’s built like the guy that pounds the rock down defenses throats, like he did at Oregon. The Broncos haven’t been in the position to do that offensively in his short tenure. Instead, he’s been asked to hit the flat on passes and run more c gap rushes over slamming gaps a and b. I see him as a short yardage/goaline weapon to slam the line and open a gap for Lindsey and Gordon in I, offset I, and pistol formations. Basically a converted fullback. Which is perfect for a guy who’s only had 1 fumble in two years. Am I way off base and missing something fundamental, or is his underachievement less on what he can do physically and more to do with schemes asking him to do things he’s simply not built to do effectively?

Trying to hear made rationalize Edward 40 hands is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard lol.

As we move on from Gordon discussion – final comment. It’s debatable that Gordon is better than Phil. But would you rather have Gordon on the field than Patrick? Hamilton? Beck? He is a weapon. We can have Fant, Sutton, Gordon and Lindsay all on the field together. That’s before we land a top WR.

Hey friends. My concern with Melvin is because of his $6,750,000.00 guaranteed per year, he is going to be the bell cow RB starting all 16 games in 2020, something Phil has completely earned like Andrew but he will just be a change of pace RB when he comes in. If they were keeping Phil past 2020, he would have been extended before free agency began. Enjoy 2020 Lindsey fans like me, he is gonzo before 2021 is my guess. fyi, Ryan replaced Marcus during the Broncos game and never looked back! Anyway, Will Parks played 51% of defensive snaps last season and his position hasn’t been filled through FA. Is safety in play at 15? An early run on Tackles, Defensive Linemen, and Wide Receivers could leave Xavier McKinney as the BPA.

Hey guys. I wanted to say thank you for continuing the pod during this difficult time. It’s often the one thing I look forward to since we are all quarantined in our own homes. But anyway, to football. WE. DO. NOT. WANT. OR. NEED. CAM. NEWTON. It’s absolutely baffling to see the reporters of the nfl saying that we would want him after drew balled out in the last few games of the season. Then, John elway even said that drew is the guy!
During this quarantine session, I’ve been playing a lot of madden. I think I remember Ryan mentioning this a while back as well, but in the career mode I got drafted to Mase’s bucs as a qb. Brady is still on the pats and I have now made mike Evans and oj Howard 1,000 yard receivers. This mode is a great way to pass time.
Like I said previously, thank you guys for continuing the pod and I can’t wait to listen.

My quick NFL comment. I am SO glad the NFL draft is continuing as planned. In my opinion the pros far outweigh the cons to keep it as is, and the NFL made the right call. I will probably watch every pick from Joe Burrow to Mr. Irrelevant. And many others will to.

Worst night of my life was on Edward 40 hands.

I was a junior in HS and at a party and me and my friend thought we were so cool and badass. We both did it, my friend got so hammered, he is built like Zac(no offense Zac), he pissed himself. I meanwhile ended up at the toilet most of the night.
Although I hooked up with a girl because of it, she thought it was funny and dangerous because of our age, silly teenagers. Lol.
