Todd, this may have been asked before, but what made you get into media? I’m sure you could have gone to any outlet; why DNVR?

Wow only kept 4 WRs! I honestly love it. To me it says Sean has a standard and knows what it takes to be a successful NFL WR. If those people aren’t in the room we will go get them. But we will not settle for less. The only question now is do we hit the waiver wire or trade? Who are some names on the target list?

Interesting thought I had when the Ravens cut Melvin Gordon (lol, by the way): who is the more disliked player in Broncos recent history between Ja’Wuan James and Gordon?

Interesting question. Could a team reclaim the player they added to waivers? Like could the Bears waive Justin Fields, then say “SIKE” and claim him since they likely had the 1st claim on the waiver wire?

I don’t know if this was the intended effect, but after listening to the pod yesterday I feel better about the Albert O trade.

Yes, he was trending up, and we were excited about his blocking. But, Nate Adkins is already much closer to being the complete tight end, while also being in his first year. Maybe he doesn’t have the same physical tools, but is that difference worth a roster spot?

And we traded AO to a place he can’t really hurt us. Sorry for your precious Chief’s loss, HANK!

The cliché is that it takes three years to evaluate draft picks. As a Broncos fan, I’d argue it takes three years and a competent coaching staff. I’m excited to see how George Paton’s draft picks look under this coaching staff. Which GP pick do you think will flash the most under Sean Paton?

The roster moves and lack thereof lead me
To believe this is going to be a run-first team.

Your thoughts ?

What do you guys make of the radio silence re: KJ Hamler? I thought with Jeudy, Virgil, and Patrick out it’d be a foregone conclusion that KJ would be back, but the team has yet to make a move. Was KJ the surprise veteran cut candidate? Is he not what Sean Payton’s type? That WR room is looking pretty thin and right now KJ seems like the best option to fill out that position.

Also, Just got my Week 1 Tailgate Tickets and am beyond HYPED to be amongst the DNVR community in a little over a week! Does the pod crew usually attend or do you guys kick back at the bar? Anyways, cheers!

What’s up guys! Loving all the new additions to the podcast. I think right now the Zac, Todd, and Alexis is days are my favorites!

I’m really concerned about the Wil Lutz trade. He made a career kicking a lot of short field goals because Bree’s could get the ball down the field. He has only kicked 29 fgs from 50+ in his career with a percentage of around 58%. Maher has kicked 27 from 50+ at around 70%. I’ve never thought Lutz was that good but just benefited from kicking in a Brees led offense. When the QB play got worse he got worse. I’m afraid this will be a move we regret, but I hope I’m wrong. Also it kind of goes against what Peyton has told us all off-season about the best guys will play. Sounds like Maher never had a chance regardless of he performed and I’m afraid that will give bad vibe to the players. Thanks! The pod has been on fire lately! Keep it up!

TD!

Asked this question last week when Jerry went down, but you weren’t on the pod! Was hoping you could help me out on this one:

How and why do these injuries, specifically at WR, keep happening to us? The original WR room of KJ, Jerry, TP, and Court had crazy potential. I’ve never seen a group so compromised by injuries year after year, on any team or position.

Todd, in your superbowl champion opinion, what are your thoughts on this? Did John Elway sell his soul for SB50 and this was the price to pay? Are these guys not eating enough vegetables? Or is this just shit-luck, plain and simple?

Keep up the good work DNVR! Love to see the growth and success!
