This sounds weird on the surface, but I wish Teddy would throw some more picks. He started 6/7 passing on third downs, but for only one first down. Gotta take some chances, especially when down big. Is that more play calling or just his nature?

Welcome to the DNVR Losers Lounge! 🙁 I wonder if people will stop calling for Pat Shurmer to be fired mid-season now that we know what the interim would look like for the rest of the season. I’m sure people still want him gone next year but it seems like if we get rid of him now it’s just a lot more of the same old BS.

Good day gentlemen! I agree this team is bad, the record is a lie.. the cowboys win had me hyped, but this loss drags me back down to reality.. fire the coaches, we need a full rebuild… I just want to shout y’all out, came to my first Broncos game this weekend and the tailgate was awesome!!!

Such an awful loss, I felt confident last week saying odds are the Cowboys game is basically a fluke and it looks like that’s true, this is a tough season to watch.

By the way, I had some Neapolitan cake again and it reminded me of how damn good those 3 flavors are in cake form and how dismissive you guys, particularly Mase, were. Mase even said “why would you want that, just have ice cream?”

Why do people eat ice cream cake? Why do people want strawberry flavored poptarts if they can just eat strawberries lol? I love chocolate cake, vanilla cake is insanely good, but the strawberry cake might be the best. The strawberry layer is one of the greatest strawberry-flavored things I’ve ever tasted. This is better than the ice cream, no contest. We’re talking like Eagles over Broncos levels of no contest.

Hi guys,

What an embarrassment!
This is mostly Elways list, this below average franchise is his work, until he is out of the building nothing will change! Teddy’s effort after Melvin’s fumble broke me, I’m out, time to join the Count, I’ll be back in the offseason, hopefully listening to coach and QB search podcasts, cheers!

hey guys

most of the comments will be about that mess of a game yesterday but on a more positive note can we talk about george paton arranging for the rookies’ parents to be flown in and accommodated at the facility? I thought it was a classy gesture by paton and all involved and I’ve not wavered from my thought that the Broncos have the right guy to turn this around. what do yall think?

Guys!

Long time no comment, but I’m back.

Where do you guys stand on what you would like to see for the rest of the season now? Although we’re still in the hunt, this team is not going to the playoffs.

My biggest worry is we somehow finish 9-8, and that gives Paton some hope for the future. I hate to cheer on the tank, but I want this team to lose out now. And this isn’t even necessarily to do with the draft pick. It’s to ensure that Fangio, Shurmur, McMahon and Teddy are not here come next September. These guys will simply never get it done.

Curious to get your thoughts on what you would like to (realistically) see, and will Vic and co be gone regardless of our record, assuming we don’t make the playoffs?

Cheers!

Y’all are being too tough on the offense. I think the strategy was to leave Slay alone and maybe he’ll think the play was blown dead and stop running. Solid plan, just didn’t pay off this time ?

Hey fellas,

The only QBs I want attempting to make a tackle there, are ones named; Timothy. Richard. Tebow.

If I was the coach, and a fit and healthy pocket passer or game manager is in that position, in Q3, this early in the season, then I am screaming at him to get out of the way. Peyton would have not considered taking a hit there, and isn’t he the blueprint?

Then, we need to consider the fact it’s Teddy, and his knee had to be almostly completely reconstructed, it took nearly 2 years to heal. There is absolutely NO WAY I even want him getting in the way there, even if Drew was on the bench. So I fully support Bridgewater’s business decision, as you call it. I just call it smart.

That play, was Gordon’s fault. I am a big Melvin fan, but he messed up there. He fumbled before he got to the first down marker though, so you were a little harsh on him.

Still, we had an entire Quarter to rally and make up the deficit, against a very average team, at home, and we never looked likely to even score once again. I refer you back to my previous comments about Vic’s lack of passion and how players don’t want to play for him.

How can this team look so great and fired up in Arlington, and then as flat as a forgotten opened can of Pepsi at home?!

I. Just. Don’t. Get. It

Hey DNVR fam,

The 5-5 record of this Denver Broncos team perfectly encapsulates my feelings on the team. One week I’m excited and jumping off the couch, the next, I’m turning the TV off in the 3rd quarter.
I’ve decided the best course of action is to be excited for our great young players and to also be excited for the end of the season fire sale on this coaching staff.
Draft a QB, sit him behind Teddy, hire all new couches and get this team back to contention in a year or two because I would rather see progress than aggressive mediocrity. Thoughts?
Keep up the great work.

What’s up guys!

That game was tough to watch. I am always so optimistic going into every week, just to be let down. I feel like this team is doing a line dance.. They take one step forward and two steps back. We have a lot of good talent, but they aren’t being utilized like they should be. Really hope to see big changes come in the offseason.

Thank you guys for keeping me sane through these dark times!

I’m so disgusted it’s hard to even put words to this. But this is current Broncos football – should anyone be surprised?
I miss the days of Wade’s ATTACKING style defense. He didn’t sit back and let the offense dictate. Vic’s read and react defense is so weak – nothing scary about it whatsoever. It only works when he has a perfect game plan and the other team makes it’s own mistakes. We don’t force shit. We don’t dictate shit. This defense has no teeth and it’s laughable to hear us mentioned as a defensive team.
Two very easy questions – Can anyone really see a Vic Fangio led team EVER hoisting a Lombardi trophy? Can anyone really see a Teddy Bridgewater led team EVER hoisting a Lombardi trophy?
George Paton – we are counting on you.

My boys!

It was fun to fool myself for the last week, thinking there was potential on this team. Back to waiting for the off-season to start!

A few questions for you all:

1) what is the minimum win/loss or performance that needs to happen from here on out for Vic to return next year?

2) do you think having Shurmer yesterday would have made the team any more competitive?

3) were there any players filling in yesterday (Calvin Anderson, Baron Browning, etc) that played well enough that they’re competing for a starting job? Just trying to find a silver lining.

Thank you all and God bless!
Go DNVR, the bar, Broncos country, and of course Iceman.

I can get over most of the mistakes made in the game, but I still can’t believe Teddy (AKA Mr. Business Decision) gave absolutely no effort to make that tackle. I get the people wanting to blame Gordon, but at least he was trying to make a play when he made his mistake. Teddy just completely gave up on the play and his explanation after the game somehow made it worse. after the four game losing streak I decided Sundays weren’t going to be centered around a football team that clearly doesn’t deserve to be the focal point of an entire day, and I made the mistake of answering that “you up?” text that they sent me after beating the Cowboys last week. As George W Bush so eloquently put it, “fool me once, shame on…shame on you. Fool me you can’t get fooled again.” Sunday golf is back on the table

It’s just embarrassing what we’ve become since SB50. A bottom feeder. Full of hope but disappointed every time. It’s the hope that kills you. Teddy isn’t the guy I want as the face of the franchise. When things work he’s an okay QB. We’ve known this. But when it falls apart he has no heart. He has nice numbers and that’s what the talking heads will try and sell us but that’s not what we want. Facts are facts he’s been terrible in the red zone and on third down. The two most important aspects of a Qb. Don’t even get me started on the “Business Decision”. He’s not the guy, we need a killer with heart and attitude. This team, this home field use to be a factor that would almost automatically give us 5-8 wins. But those days have gone like a fart in the wind. How am I suppose to get my 5 year old excited about the team I love when this has been the product since his time on earth? Thankfully his first mile high experience was the Jets game but I just don’t know how to get him excited for this product. Sorry for the rant boys it’s just saddening. I’ve loved this team since the days of my youth. I just miss the stadium shaking and rocking days. One can hope better days are ahead. But like I said it’s the hope that kills us.

I know what running back wouldn’t have fumbled on that play because he NEVER fumbled.

I know this is beating a dead horse but Lindsay mattered to this team. I get that he’s small and not a good pass blocker but his leadership and energy made a difference for this team.

Remember that talk of having a new face of the team? That was something Lindsay could have been. In a fourth and inches scenario you may not be sure he’d find the right hole but you could be damn sure he would have the ball in hand when the play was over. You could be damn sure he’d run that ball with heart.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Javonte, but that locker room is missing somebody like Lindsay.

We’ve seen our fair share of embarrassing things happen to this team since Peyton left, but our QB trending on Twitter for his lack of effort is a first. Ouch.

New member here! You got me! Where do we go from here? I don’t enjoy watching this season so your great content is the highlight of Broncos anything now. Where do we go from here? I like Teddy but he’s not the answer. I think Lock sucks so I don’t want to see him (or hear it from the Stans). I want Vic gone but not mid season. I just want this to be over with. Lets hire Todd Bowles and draft Carson Strong and get on with it.

I’d also trade for Wilson but IDK why he’d want to come here.
