Boys! You guys are making it very hard to listen to the podcast at home with the wife. Between all of you trashing the Jets, AND last week, Zac said Sauce Gardner is on the TEXANS…. Killing me boys.

As always, loving the pod and hoping to make it to the bar this year in October. To anyone thinking about going, DO IT. Even a disgruntled Jets fan had a great time at the tailgate and bar after a blow out last year.

The Broncos may not be living up to the hype, but the vibes from the pod are great. Go Broncos and go DNVR!

My boys! It’s really sad to see how many people are already out on the Broncos and Nathaniel Hackett. There is a lot to work on and to learn but to see people calling Hackett a moron and the general disrespect is just too far. I understand emotions run high after bad performances and we all had high expectations for Russ and Hackett together but let’s all remember that good things take time to build and we’re only TWO GAMES into a brand new quarterback, scheme and coaching staff. Let’s not forget that in 2012 Peyton Manning started 1-2 with an embarrassing prime time performance as well. Now I don’t necessarily think Russ is as good as Peyton but I sure as hell have faith in this team and have the patience to let this team figure out their early mistakes. Peace and love, Broncos Country. Let’s ride

My boys,

Yesterday Numbies said “maybe it’s our fault because we raised expectations too high” or something similar, when discussing the negative comments etc etc…
Never apologise boys, we love the podcasts because of the love you guys have for Denver, never ever change! Cheers!

Hey guys!

I know there’s a lot to criticize about this team. For me, the most egregious thing is not the play calling. It’s not the game management. It’s not even the lack of discipline. It’s the drops. Russ’s completions/attempts look terrible because of how much the receivers are just letting the balls hit the ground. How is there not a line in front of the jugs machine after every practice? And how else does Zach Azzani and Klimt Kubiak address this frustrating part of the game?
I know it’s a young team with rookie coaching, but I’m just enjoying the fact that there’s hope, and so much room for improvement

Wow, people are so negative and mean, give the boys a chance.
The defense is playing awesome and the offense is moving the ball, they need to clean up many things specially the penalties but in the words of a very strange man R.E.L.A.X, when this team gels is going to be very good.
Ps. Is Zac auditioning for 104.3 the fan? Or why so much negativity?

I know it’s far to early to tell. And I wish I was wrong. But my “super spicy” take on Russ being a lil past his prime and we gave up to much for him doesn’t seem so laughable now does it.

I’m really glad that every single Broncos fan has always been 100% perfect at everything they ever did for the first time. Time to learn on the job is for losers apparently. I’m sorry but anyone who thinks this is as bad as the Fangio issues and the Shurmer play calling is an idiot. We are not even close to what we’ve been for the last 6 years.

We are moving quite efficiently and then shooting ourselves in the feet with silly errors. Is that annoying? Hell yes. But these errors are correctable. Hackett is a humble dude who is learning, give him a little patience. He’s not unwilling to change like Fangio and we’re moving quite well. The red zone comes down to timing, execution, and balance. We’ll get there. In the immortal words of a former MVP who will not be named “R-E-L-A-X”

Life’s had me real busy so it’s been a while since I commented but I’ve listened to every pod, sometimes just a week late. So, first off shout out to you guys for the stellar coverage.

Second, we’re living in a world of suck. It’s still early and many of these are correctable errors, but this offense and play-calling is extremely similar to recent years and it’s tough to watch and it’s not getting talked about enough either.

How many fake end arounds has Jeudy run without getting the ball on one of them? We went almost a whole half without a single WR getting a catch against the Seahawks, just dump offs to TEs and RBs. So many other things similar too, obviously there is new stuff we wouldn’t have seen with Shurmur, but it’s scary.

Also, I hope all these dumbass “fans” calling for Hackett and Russ’ head while bemoaning that we don’t have Josh Allen realize that they’d have punted Allen into the sun after his first two games. Good god.

What do you call a person who doesn’t know crap about football but thinks that Hackett should be fired after 2 games?

Answer: My wife.

I’m in RK’s camp regarding how to feel about the team this early in the season. The Broncos found a way to win a game on Sunday that they would have found a way to lose during the last 5 years. Is it great? Not yet. But it sure as hell is better than it has been with lots of upside.

No disrespect to those of you saying the Offensive play calling has been bad or similar to previous years but this is simply, factually, wrong. The play calling has been mostly fantastic, creative, and really entertaining. The execution has been on a similar level to previous years, but didn’t we talk about all offseason how Hackett’s approach is long-term oriented? I don’t mean injury related because I’m beginning to think that there’s no real way to prevent injuries. If we have to suffer through some growing pains in the beginning to achieve success in the long term, so be it. Come on DNVR fam, we’re better than this!

I was pretty surprised to see how bad the game operations have been considering how relatively clean things were in the preseason. I know preseason games are called a little differently as far as situational football just because you want to test things out and see certain looks, but the overall communication wasn’t anywhere near this sloppy.

What gives? Is it just the added pressure of REAL football? Are they doing something different operationally? Just super strange.

The most encouraging stat I have seen is that Denver is first in average length of drive at 57.5 yards! Three and outs have become a rarity instead of the norm of years past. Feels like running effectively in the red zone will be the key to close these drives out – would you want to see any O-Line shakeups to help out?

Hey Gentlemen! It’s been a while since I last asked a question or commented, but I’ve been listening to the pod. The Sobey Boys (myself, younger brother, and father) will be making pilgrimages from Oregon and New Mexico to the bar and our first ever Broncos home game in October against the Jets! We strategically got a place to stay within walking distance of the bar and we’ll be doing the full party bus and tailgate experience. I’m ridiculously excited.

Here’s my question for the pod:
We have no Broncos Ring of Fame inductees this year. Why in the *redacted* is Gary Kubiak not in the Ring of Fame, and when will he put him in? 9 years as Elway’s backup, 11 years as a QB coach/O.C., 2 years as a head coach. IIRC, he and Elway are the only Broncos to have had a direct hand in all three of our Super Bowl victories. When can we expect him to be placed in his rightful spot in the Broncos Ring of Fame, or am I delusional and overvaluing his importance to the franchise?
