Hey guys, username is pronounced Peanut. My question is if Elway came out publicly and endorsed Scangarello, or even privately did, do you think that would allow him to open up the offense? Stop worrying about being fired and use the remaining games to test what works for Drew Lock.
Thomason
Fellas,
Hope to see you in KC next week! Let’s meet up at OK Joes and crush a z-man before we watch KC roll us!! I’ll trade you a six pack of Boulevard for some Strawberry Sky or CO Core!
Kicker controversy is ridiculous and amplified by bored Denver talk radio.
Mase, which players should we be watching during bowl season as possible broncos of the future? I’m thinking O-line first above all!

Mike Klis ran an article on 9News the other day and said this;
‘Look for Broncos’ general manager John Elway to make receiver near cornerback as the team’s priority positions this offseason.’
We all know how……well connected he is to the Broncos so I’m putting some stock in this. He specifically mentioned that the team is looking for a ‘younger Emmanuel Sanders’
If we’re reading between the lines;
1) Chris is more than likely not sticking around
2) Lock is getting 2020 regardless of what happens down the stretch
3) They view Sutton as a legitimate number 1, which means receiver in Round 1 is probably off the table.

I can tell by the way you guys Drew this up, he has it completely Locked down.

Whats up guys! Just want to say thanks for your hard work on all that great broncos content/pods.
Wanted to say i haven’t bought a broncos qb jersey since Manning. Before that my parents bought me The Great Elway jersey. I havent been the least bit excited about any QB prospect until Drew Freaking Lock! This guy has so much talent and is just beaming confidence. I bought that jersey as soon As it came out. To infinity and beyond baby!
PS im done with Hamilton why isnt Winfree getting a look?
Think we need to surround Drew with more then 1 talented reciever like Mahomes is. #Ceedee Lamb#Sutton#Fant#Patrick =OMG

We can with this good WR draft.

1: Iceman, if your Miners had won, and if my Bearcats win this Saturday, we could’ve played each other in the DII national semifinals! Go Bearcats!
2: Still can’t believe Mase is free from as another called it, the “Broncorporation.” Everything he said about team-owned media: I agree! It just seems that external outlets like DNVR provide the honesty and emotion. You can see it in Mase; he’s got the fire we’ve waited for. Maybe a “Mase Unchained” pod? That would be AWESOME!
3. For Mr. B
4. Do you think Drew Lock jerseys appear in the team store regardless of how the rest of the season goes? Why this apparent hesitation?
Sorry for the long comment. GO BRONCOS!
Iceman
Hey boys. Ryan, great minds think alike! We both predicted Broncos 27-24 this week!!! 🙂 Love you 3 guys so much on here, I hope to meet Mase someday? I know these comments are never read butt I would be H:)ppy if the Broncs now pick CU’s L.C. in the 1st. round.

What’s up guys! Brand New subscriber, I’ve been a free loader for over two years honestly, not to proud of that but finally made the commitment and I’m super excited to be able to voice my opinion on the pod! I remember when I first started listening and you guys were keeping score for the QB battle of Trevor vs Paxton, I loved it! Looking back that was a terrible competition but you guys made it fun! Had to finally get a membership just to say thank you for all the content! Long comment already, damn, 3 quick things, 1. Drew Lock is the guy, had the feeling before the draft that we should draft him in the first! 2. People need to chill on the Fire Elway, come on now! 3. Zac your laugh has grown on me! It’s amazing! I’ll be commenting more but I’ll end this one, I know with the pod growing more and more people are commenting! I have a lot to say but I’ll end it quicker! Anyway amped to be apart of the DNVR family! Thank you guys!

I’ve been listening for a few months and realized y’all were well worth the subscription. I’m stoked to be part of the community! So, I noticed that when I watch Noah Fant play I am consistently in awe of his athleticism and separation forming ability. However, when I see him try to catch passes, it looks like a 12 year old boy that was Shazam’d into the body of a Greek god, and he hasn’t quite gotten used to his powers yet. Do you guys think that he will continue to trend upward in his technique and become our own personal George Kittle?
Jayner
Definitely on the side of McManus. He deserved a chance at 65. Deserves a chance at the record books. Remember when prater hit the 64? How pumped were you guys? We would’ve been stoked for that chance. See if he hits it.

Hello Gents
Surely if we all have a case of Lock fever it should be Drewbella!
I think of all the QBs since Manning Lock is the one everyone wants to see succeed and get behind. All the others were missing a certain something but Drew seems to have the whole package and can unite this fanbase. All he needs is to be set free and be allowed to make both the good plays and the bad. Both will make him a better player.
Was also awesome last week to here that Mase’ mum is from Bradford here in Yorkshire. As a born and bred Bradfordian its pretty cool to know I have a link to the best Broncos podcast out there.
PigTosser66
Guys here is my take on the “Shanahan” offense. It is a great system IF you have ALL of the right pieces in place but you must be a good enough team to routinely be playing with a lead or in close games. Everything is based off of the run game so if you fall behind or the defense loads up to stop the run then you must be able to drop back and beat them with the pass. That is why it was so successful in our late 90’s SB teams because we were always ahead or if we weren’t we had Elway, Smith, Ed, Sharpe, etc. Without a stacked team I just don’t see it as being a good system in today’s NFL where they obviously want people to pass and score points. Thoughts?
Chicken Joe
Whats up gents I just have a bold prediction for the season. Drew Lock wins one of the next two games sending the Lock Train into full throttle. I think it’s possible although unlikely but there’s just a buzz around Lock (no pun intended) we haven’t seen in a long long time. Also, do you guys see the Broncos having a uniform redesign or a rebrand of the team with the new direction the Broncos are going? Love the Pod. Go Broncos.
ChubbClub55
Hey guys,
Copy and pasting from last week as I was a little late my first time commenting. Found you guys at the beginning of this season as I got a new desk job and needed some new podcasts. Finally caved and purchased the year subscription because you guys give me some reliable, educated broncos news and takes, And TWO free shirts is too good of a deal to pass up. It is very refreshing to hear level headed analysis (Thanks Mase) compared to most of my bronco friends who are the type of fans that think the team can do no wrong. Love you guys and the constant entertainment. Zac your laugh gives me life and Rivers has Nothing on RK’s bolo ties. Thank you so much for the awesome energy every week. And of course the obligatory, WE GOT HIM!
Thanks again fellas, Go Broncos!

Hello DNVR family. Pardon the very long comment but I won’t be commenting often. I explain why in the following. This is actually my 4th time in a row commenting and I was skipped each time (sad face). Hope I can be read this week. I even shortened it in case it was too long.
I’ve been listening since week 17 of the final Siemian season but I just subscribed with the black Friday promo. Firstly I wanted to clear the air on the quote “Freeloader listeners” if they are at all like me. Besides being just a Broncos fan and not the other Denver teams, the reason I never subscribed before was I just don’t have the time for all your amazing content. Up until recently, when I gave up on my trash fantasy team that will certainly lose in the first round of playoffs, I was listening to the pod a few days late. So I would never be able to make relevant comments on time. But now that we are heading into an offseason with Drew the future I thought I would invest. I don’t have the kind of job you can listen to at work and I have about 10 pods I listen to regularly. Among writing and other things there just isn’t time! So freeloaders DON”T FEEL BAD! (but you should subscribe. The audio articles are fantastic)
Also in the past the incentive of a free shirt wasn’t helpful because I already have every DNVR Bronco shirt (plus the Phil hoodie for me and my girl) except for the Vic shirt. I needed him to earn my trust which now I hope he has. I will use my 2 free items code for a future shirt for me and my girlfriend.
Now that I’ve explained myself… a few thoughts building for the last 2 years.
1. Team 2 holes. Has Mase given his input on that debate? I recently started this debate between my girlfriend and her daughter. We are all differing in opinion.
2. My very first 2 jerseys I bought at the same time in an offseason sale before Tebow was drafted were none other than an Orange CHAMP BAILEY and a Blue KYLE ORTON! I loved Orton in his two season I just think the madness of Mcdaniels tainted him. My most recent is an Orange Phil Lindsay and bought my GF a blue Phil jersey as well. I also have orange Peyton and Elway Jerseys. Next up would be an orange TD and hopefully a Blue Lock.
3. 3 is for Mr B. I will never forget the morning Mr B passed. I was doing a 5 am workout and my phone lit up half way through. I was devastated and almost ended my workout. But then I thought about Mr B and his determination to never give up and I had a great workout after. The following day I was working out again when RK described the sunrise or sunset as Orange and Blue for Pat. I had to take another misty eyed reprieve but returned to exercise in the memory of why I love the Broncos and Mr B.
4. Thank you thank you thank you for BRECK BREWS! I am not much of a Beer guy (prefer the hard stuff and the green stuff) but I recently found a liquor store by me that carries Strawberry Sky, Vanilla Porter and now recently the Christmas ALE! All at a great price! I love them all for different purposes and bought out their last 8 cans of Strawberry sky. Also RK really got me on the White Claw train and another I would recommend is TRULY hard seltzers. More flavors, same low sugar/carb and sometimes cheaper. Damn you RK and your great recommendations.
5. Living in LA I have watched the Broncos play here the last two seasons against the chargers and they won each time! Also I’ve been to Denver for 2 preseason games (My mom is a teacher and wanted to take me and my dad for my birthday so we can’t go regular season.) but they won each time! I wore my Peyton jersey for each game which I think is good luck. Each of those preseason games was the season of their Superbowl appearances with Peyton. I have always blamed the Seattle loss on me because I was watching with some friends who one got sick so we put it on pause. The friend whose house it was did not think to record the game. So we came back like 45 minutes later, the remote fell and changed the channel. When we got back to the channel it was late 3rd quarter and it was all over by then. My point is that my Peyton jersey has magic and it’s my fault we lost Super bowl 48. But for Super Bowl 50 I only missed 1 play and it was the blocked punt/FG if I remember correctly so that one worked out.
6. Get Scangs outta here. It doesn’t fit the philosophy of the team. We go with the one of the oldest most experienced defensive minds in the game and an OC that has amounted to nothing just because he’s part of the coaching tree we want to be in. I hate it. He can’t figure out how to use Phil and Royce right. He is too afraid to be called out for big plays so he tries the smallest most disappointing plays possible. Get me someone else.
7. Despite the strife. 7 is still for Elway. Everyone looks at their own team critically at times and other times no criticism whatsoever. I have two “friends” who are Steelers fans. They never admit there is a culture problem in Piitsburgh. They always back Big Ben despite being an overrated QB and a trash human being. They defend him going on the radio and calling out his guys who fail. They also blamed AB for Ben’s interception to Shelby Harris last year. How ridiculous is that? They would spit on the jerseys of AB and Leveon Bell because they didn’t want to be in a trash organization anymore. I still defend those two diva or not. Pittsburgh is clearly a toxic place to play with their GM calling everyone boys under Ben. I won’t even start on Tomlin. My point is this would never happen under Elway. Just because he isn’t the best at drafting QBs and other pieces he is still better than most and has kept a team from utter turmoil. Wins, losses, yards and points aren’t everything. I would still stand behind this team after back to back winless seasons as long as the integrity of the players and the organization is intact. Give me a Bengals season with good guys and coaches rather than a 2018 Chiefs season with the likes of Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt, Frank Clark or Andy Reid. Also I think the tomahawk chop is racist along the same lines as the Redskins team name.
8. For how I became a fan not from Denver it goes like this. I lived in CA as a child and liked the 49ers but not a fan they were just close to me. We almost moved to WISCONSIN so I thought hey, maybe I can be a Packers fan. My mom even got me a Packers plush blanket that I still have. BUT we ended up moving to OREGON instead! As you know they don’t have a pro team and I wasn’t about to be a Seahawks fan. I had a lot of opinions despite never really watching football. My first Superbowl I ever watched was my first few months living in Oregon. I thought I still wanted to be a Packers fan and my dad said he liked the Broncos to win because he likes Underdogs. Whether they were or not this one statement from my Dad changed my mind as I watched Elway put it all out on the field. From that day on I was a fan of the orange and blue (colors that were already my favorite – green and yellow suck! I didn’t like the Oregon Ducks either despite living 10 minutes from Autzen stadium).
9. Lastly, I messed up when I subscribed and did not put the code for the pod host I would vote for. If it still counts, for the record I would have put….. (wait for it) RK! I love all 3 of you equally but I credit RK for my new love of White Claw/Truly and the Breck Brews. We were also being Keto Kids at the same time. But what really made me decide on RK was either this offseason or last, RK became the only person I have ever heard mention one of my favorite desserts ever! Strawberry Rhubarb pie/cobbler! By that I mean friends, podcasts, cooking shows… none of them ever mention Strawberry Rhubarb desserts! In Los Angeles I wouldn’t even know where to find Rhubarb. It is an amazing combination and everyone should try! I could eat it every day. When I was a kid living with my parents in Oregon they grew rhubarb and strawberries in the garden and made fresh cobbler from that! DELICIOUS! I remember sneaking bites of it cold right out of the pan in the fridge. It’s great cool or warm! With ice cream it’s even better (for you Zac)! Mase let us know if you have ever had the pleasure! If I ever own a restaurant it would be my featured dessert!
Keep up the great work guys! Again sorry for the very long comment but I am not the type to comment every episode or even every week. Happy Holidays to the best pod community out there!

Hey guys, I heard some interesting commentary on Chris Harris Jr while listening to the PFF Podcast (Podcast Polygamy is ok right?–You guys will always be BAE). Anyway, they stated that despite his grades dropping from elite to just good this year they still consider him an elite corner.
Palazzolo dug through the numbers and looked at the average season long grade of the receivers CHJ has been in primary coverage on. He found that 2019 has been the most difficult year of Chris’s career by a decent margin. Strength of opponent is not factored into PFF grades.
They also discussed the unique role Chris is playing in the secondary this year. They were staggered how much true 1v1 coverage he was playing on outside receivers and Sam Monson said he thought it might be the most true island coverage a corner has played since Darrell Revis’s 2009 season.
This definitely made me look at Chris differently. Outside of the Tyreke Hill and John Brown deep touchdowns it looks like many of the plays in which Chris has surrendered a catch come when he’s periodically pushed into a high/low zone coverage with a safety. Around week 5 it looked like Fangio had shifted CHJ’s role to primarily man or zone schemes where he can play press. It’s my opinion this has helped the pass rush by limiting the number of quick completions and making the safeties’ and linebackers’ roles less predictable pre-snap. Watching from the stadium do you guys see any merit to this theory?
PoperDink
since 2003 we have faced some of the best Quarterbacking in postseason play. Here is the List
Manning 2 times
Brady 4 times
Big Ben 3 times
Luck, Rivers, Flacco, Wilson, and Newton 1 Time.
I think this proves that having an elite QB is sooooo important. All of these guys were/are franchise QBs. Only two guys missing from the list. Brees and Rodgers. Is there any team that had tougher matchups then this list During that span? Curious to hear you thoughts.
Golden Boy
I see no path to a bronco win, this week. Denver D plays well but we lose 37-20. Houston 4 TDs and 3 FGs. 17 points off of short fields from turnovers. Houston up big early, lock passes 45 times. 23-45, 2 tds, 3 ints, 207 yards, 3 rushes for 25 yards.
BroncoNuggs
Should of drafted JK Scott he killed it at Alabama and in high school! I remember when he was a yard short of the cross bar for a 72 yard field goal. He could take wadmans and Brandon’s job!
BroncoNuggs
Made has any punter/kicker done both jobs I think it could work and save you money

Mase* I’m sorry
Paxton’s Patch
Hey Ryan, Mase and Snuggles! (Sorry Zac but I warned you)
I’ll make this as short as I can.
We took a QB with a premium pick.
Big arm? Check.
Has the it factor? Check
Puts everything into the game? Yep!
Guy you want as face of team?
You betcha. He can run, throw, lead, motivate and improvise. Absolutely!!!
Why not stop with this silliness of seeing what he’s got or figuring out if he’s the guy. It could take three years to figure that out. It’s ridiculous to think we need to see more from him. That star destroyer already left Toche station. He’s a good prospect. Bet the moisture farm!
Come on Broncos!!! Go all in!!!!
BleedOrangeBlue
Do you guys believe that Phillip Lindsey will exceed his numbers from last year without JANO in the lineup? Recent running stats since Jano’s injury hasn’t been impressive.
KentuckyUDFA
Can we please just sign Austin MacGinnis and release McManus…dude is just clutch and a hell of a kicker. Have a great pod guys, and as always Go Broncos, Go Cats…

…
How is the NFL “Top 100” list even a thing. An absolute disgrace.
You want to tell me, square in the eyes how Champ Bailey isnt on the damn list?! How he didn make it?!
Im about to fight the entire group of voters.. Hold my beer, were gonna have an old fashion donny brook!!!
#ChampBailey #GreatestToEverDoIt
30’s win
I second third and fourth it’s always sunny. It’s the best most messed up and hilarious show out there. Nothing football related I just don’t trust the Broncos to make the right choices. I’m a fan through and through and I’ll never waiver, I’m just getting ready for the next idiotic shoe to drop. The organization doesn’t appear to have enough courage to make gutsy calls both on and off the field. Nothing more everyone else hasn’t said.
timmytest
Hi guys,
Soo pumped for the future of this organization with Drew Lock at the helm.
First a question and I know the possibility is as low as it gets… But, if the Broncos wins every game that’s left this season. They will be 8-8, how big of a chance do they have of making the playoffs? Once again, I know it’s a really low possibility of this even happening, but still there is a chance. (Not if they lost to Texans though lol)
I also wanted to say that the DNVR Madden 20 league (Xbox One) has finalized its first season and we would love to get some new members in it. Check it out at https://daddyleagues.com/thednvrleague

Boys! We need answer on why Juwaan Winfree is inactive every week! Youd think he would get a shot by now, between Patrick’s injury and Hamiltons drops…. what’s the deal?
Asking for a friend
Drew looks like he’s in on the name Buzz, even celebrates touchdowns with his laser! Let’s keep it going
JosephTheManning
Is it just me, or did Chris Harris just blow coverage vs Hopkins (or is it someone else’s responsibility?) on the exact same route that he did last week? Drew is killing it though. He has to have shown enough to earn the right to prove himself as the 100% long-term answer next year. Go draft him some offensive line and wide receiver upgrades.
Canadian Orange and blue
Bangles offer you Joe Burrow for Drew straight up at the draft who you taking?
Keep up the great work
THEUNFGVN3
I’m so excited to see drew play like this and not to mention the rest of the team, the secondary looked great I think the best we’ve seen all season, the offensive line looked put together, even Garrett Bolles looked good. So my question is where do we go from here when it comes to roster decisions and staff changes. Because my opinion is maybe a couple weeks ago I didn’t see Rich staying but he really seemed to put the peices together and I would really like him to stay if of course he keeps up the good work. But hypothetically if we finish this season 8-8 what changes do the Broncos need to make to make the team even better
