Hey guys, I was hoping y’all could help me out with a non Bronco discussion that my friends and I have been having. The question is whether or not Russell Wilson is a 1st ballot HOF QB or even a HOF QB. I believe his resume is lacking in the acolades needed to get in. He has one Superbowl ring and 8 pro bowls. He has never received a single MVP vote, but has been good his whole career. I look at players like Eli who I don’t think should get in, but I would put Eli in before Russell if I was voting right now. So what do y’all think, and if you don’t think he is HOF worthy yet, what would he have to do the rest of his career to get in?
MarkITsnatch
The MVP vote discussion, I think, is a moot point. He’s underrated and overshadowed by other high profile QBs around the league. It’s very similar to Anthony Rendon reaching his first all star game last year, even though he was better than nearly every AL 3rd baseman.

Hey guys!
Santa’s elves are subordinate clauses.
Anyway, if you’d rather field this in a part one discussion, skip this question. Riding along the Mt Rushmores discussion, what do these monuments look like per decade?

Lastly, of the non rookies on the team, whom do you see having a breakout season on each side of the ball?

Hey guys, I think your discussion of Melvin Gordon calling Von before signing his contract was very interesting and provided some great insight into how Von has been feeling about the past few years. You said that Von probably spoke frankly about Vic and perhaps divulged some unsavory aspects of his persona, but this got me thinking. I believe the call probably went something more like this:
Von: Hello?
Melvin: What’s up DJ Sauce Von the Don? How’s it hanging in the 303?
Von: It’s going good Flash, got back from San Fran, just trying to avoid that corolli virus, know what I mean? What’s up with you?
Melvin: Oh, nothing much man, just driving up and down the 90210, admiring the mansions, wishing I had a contract for the upcoming season.
Von: Well hey man, you can always come visit my mansion if you want! Oh wait, nevermind…
Melvin: Yeah fam. So I was wondering, how are you feeling about the Broncos of late?
Von: What, you interested in signing here now or something? Haha, just messing with you man. We got Tasmanian Devil Touchdown #30 TD Phil running over fools with his 190 pound self!
Melvin: Yeah haha… well how do you feel about the past few years?
Von: Well dawg, I gotta be honest. The past few years have been rough. Ever since we won the Superbowl and I got paid hella cash, it almost seems like we don’t have as much money to pay for other good players on the roster. We thought coach VJ was really going to give us a boost, what with how well we were practicing and all. But I guess he just wasn’t the right guy. What was it that Mr. Elway said one time? Hmm… oh yeah, now I remember. *clears throat to prep Baker Mayfield voice* “Guy’s an idiot.” And his nickname/acronym thing sucks too.
Melvin: Dang man. If your coach’s name is VJ, you’re gonna have a bad time.
Von: But we on the up and up now. We got Big Vic coaching up the D, know what I’m saying? They call him “The Godfather,” and he’ll be your daddy, know what I’m talking about?
Melvin: Uh, sure Von, I mean…
Von: And we also got Big Glock Lock firing bullets through all these defenses. Yeah man, we’re probably gonna draft Jeudy or some other ballin wide receivers. Our offense is gonna be stacked. Kinlaw cold tho…
Melvin: Wow fam, that actually sounds pretty good, Ja-feel?
Von: Ja-definitely-feel.
Melvin: Alright man, I’ll catch you later. Hey, how are those chickens holding up?
Von: They’re doing good man, doing great. We had to eat the big white one though. You know, the one named Derek? Anyways, we’ll catch you later dawg. Say hi to Melvin for me.
Melvin: Uh…Alright man, peace.
In other words, I think Von may have been describing more of the hardships of the past few years and the Vance Joseph era rather than being tentative about Vic. We know he was wearing his heart on his sleeve in addition to his post-game-interview hat after the Chiefs loss, but now he has to be feeling good about the direction this team is heading.

Was fun being a member?

Just to highlight how good Lindsay is consider what TD had around him. Take that offensive line, one of the best QBs of all time, all the other weapons and then give Lindsay the ball.
The only reason Lindsay fell off compared to his blazing start is that teams figured out they could key on him. Stack the box and watch the Broncos implode.
The only thing likely to hold back Lindsay this season is a big contract for Melvin Gordon.

Hey gang. No, I don’t have 3 names. They’re all the same person: Spencer. If you know what the acronym KISS stands for, and I think Mase does because I’ve heard him say it before, do that. Now, for my question. The Jets are apparently seriously considering trading Jamal Adams, which makes not an ounce of sense in my mind. Even worse, his preferred destination is the Cowboys, who, the Broncos do not play this season of course, but they do play the Jets. We all know they won’t, but what could the Broncos do to get involved and do a dance with the Jets to get Jamal Adams? Love you gang, can’t wait to have a drink at the bar as we inch closer to the world being open, go DNVR, and go Broncos.

What’s up guys! Watching “The Match Part II”, a question popped into my head for y’all. What is each of y’all top 3 people in the Broncos locker room that you’ve gotten to deal with on a regular basis? Could be because of their thoughtfulness, insight, or personality but was just curious who y’alls favorite people to cover on the Broncos was. Also TB12 sucks at golf! PFM all day long!!

Andrew Mason should’ve been the guy on “Stump the Schwab”, change my mind.

Still catching up on pods, but to the guy who wanted recommendations for NFL Podcasts, I HAVE to throw Dave Dameshek’s name in the ring. He’s absolutely hilarious, and usually 2 pods a week. He does loads of mocking, usually in an accent, and has loads of NFL guests. He really knows Football too, as well as bring funny. Can’t speak highly enough of it, although he’s a massive Steelers Fan, the others rip the hell out of him every time he turns the conversation back to Pittsburg. Matt Money Smith, the Chargers Radio Announcer, is a regular, but he’s always positive about the Broncos. A must listen, I promise thee.
Big love all

DNVR! My guys, did y’all see Michael Thomas go at DeVante Parker on Twitter? Why is this guy always complaining? Is he this insecure? Do you guys feel he is the best WR in the NFL? Who will be the top 10 WRs in 2020? As always boys, you guys are the best, thanks.
Another Ryan
MY BOYS! I am not sure if you are recording a pod today or not, but I wanted express my gratitude to those in The DNVR Fam who are military veterans, are serving in the military, and/or to their family members who served or are serving in the military. Here are two quotes memorializing the occasion:
“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America [must] never forget their sacrifices.” —Harry S. Truman
“If you want to thank a soldier, be the kind of American worth fighting for.” —Unknown
I have a trivia question for today: Which Broncos to make the regular season roster served in the military? Bonus question: In which military branches did those players serve?
DNVRMY SALUTE!

I imagine Zac practising the end of the draft kings read in the mirror like Drew Lock practising play calls!!
Complete the sentence:
I have not been this excited about the Broncos roster since…..

What’s up guys, just stopping in to report a Von Miller sighting. My friend saw at my Alma Mater, Sycamore Valley Elementary in Danville, CA, and wow what an honor it is to have one of my all time favorite Broncos training on my old stomping grounds! While I didn’t see him myself my friend definitely has the football knowledge to identify him.
This is just 10 min down the road from Derek Carr’s house and 2 min away from the field derek and AB were seen practicing on many times last year. Any insights as to why he’s all the way out in the Bay and not back home in Denver?
Also, with all the talk of great sports documentaries, I have to say I watched “Scotland 78: A Love Story” on Mase’s recommendation and it was an incredibly well told story. I would 100% recommend it to any soccer fan.
Anyways thanks for all the Broncos coverage. You guys are still the best in the biz.
