In regards to DTL’s hypoithetical and Mase’s question about the 70’s-80’s during the 0-4 start in Super Bowls compared to the last 4 years of losing record and poor play, it’s an easy call.
Even through going 0-4 with the score getting worse each time in the Super Bowl, you still had great divisional championships, playoff wins, “the drive”, the “fumble”. John’s amazing comeback victories, breaking Browns fans hearts. Winning and contending is way better than losing year after year. I’d rather compete year after year and lose the Super Bowl, than win one and never compete again.

Hey guys!
Well, since we’re post draft, and living in a weird month of speculation around Zac’s favorite example of this, let’s go around the league and talk about that one guy on each team. The one friggin player you do not like, for whatever reason. Maybe it’s a character thing, some shenanigans on or off the field, they’re overrated and overhyped, maybe they just look odd. Everytime the team played Denver or TB, you rolled your eyes because that guy was gonna go off, which fed that disdain. But in an alternate universe, it would’ve been incredible to have that one friggin guy on your team. Mase is living that reality with Tom Brady. We may all be living that reality, touch wood, by August. So let’s start in the NFC West. Who’s the one Arizona Cardinal that fits this description?

What’s your best shot in the dark on where this Broncos team will be at the midway point of the season? Will the defense be number 1 in the NFL?
And when does bachelor season begin for RK?

The Bachelor is like football, their is never really an off-season. Bachelorette, bachelors in paradise keep the money machine rolling. Losing their long time show host hurt though.

Greetings gents,
With all of the discussion around Aaron Rodgers, a question comes to mind: does our ownership situation have any bearing on our ability to acquire Rodgers? Let’s say that hypothetically we do get Rodgers, could that be alluring for a possible new owner coming in the near future?
Thanks for all you do!

Hey fellas, I love the optimism around A Rodgers, but I don’t like the idea of giving up Chubb. 3 future firsts and a WR is fine by me. Given it is potentially Von’s last year, it seems crazy that we could have no legit edge rusher next year. Is it a bridge too far? That said is Chubb great? Pretty significant injury history and the pro bowl nod was more deserving in his rookie year. Is he readily replaceable?

My boys!
1. Hi
2. I just got a sweet Broncos jacket that says 3x super bowl champions on the back. Here’s to hoping that is outdated soon
3. I’m getting married in 5 months, any general advice Mase (assuming I am not mistaken as to your marital status)? Lol
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
Communication and expectation management will get you really far in marriage. Probably in football fanaticism as well.

Fellas,
What does Melvin Gordon have to do this year for Denver to offer him another contract?
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
1,300 yards from scrimmage, 10+ tds, and no fumbles!

Hey gents – lifetime Colorado sports fan, grew up overseas but am living in the U.S. now and just found DNVR recently and had to subscribe. I’m happy to join the family, and while I love all the DNVR podcasts, I have to say your guys’ is my favorite. Your content is just fantastic. But don’t tell the others please, don’t want hurt any feelings.
My question is this: let’s assume for a second that we do trade for Rodgers. In a perfect world, which offensive coordinator do each of you think would be ideal to pair him with? I personally don’t see him and Shurmur meshing very well, but would be happy to be wrong.
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
I’d think about another west coast/ shanahan tree OC. Or an OC who is the 2013 Adam Gase to 2013 Peyton Manning aka Rodgers, meaning he is just on for the ride.

Running Back Leroy Hoard reportedly once said to his coach, “Coach, if you need one yard, I’ll get you three yards. If you need five yards, I’ll get you three yards.” Would you guys keep a RB on the roster if they guaranteed 3 yards and only 3 yards every time they had a rushing attempt?

hey guys! couple things;
1) i don’t see many people talking about kary vincent jr, so was wondering what y’all thought about him? without knowing too much about the player it’s nice to get some speed on defense between him, sterns and browning.
2) i saw an interesting trade proposal on twitter;
saints get patrick surtain
broncos get ryan ramczyk, paulson adebo and a 2022 3rd rounder
the rationale behind it was that sean payton has already come out and said he was going to trade up for surtain and he rated him very highly. the saints are in a dire situation with their cap and will need more cost controlled players. ramczyk is in the final year of his deal and will be looking for market resetting money. the broncos get a reliable tackle who’s 27 years old, a corner that has a similar physical profile to surtain and a future draft pick.
the saints are on the back-end of their playoff window and it would make more sense for them to be the team that signs dennis kelly or another veteran like that to a one year deal.
it’s clear the broncos love surtain and i don’t think they’d part ways from him but i think this trade makes some sense for both sides. what do y’all think?

Just looked at my last credit card statement and realised its that time again. Ladies and gentlemen, you got me!! Another year of great content ahead!
Now time for my ramblings! Firstly, not taking Fields really frustrated me. We cannot say we definitely have a franchise QB, so not taking a Fields when had chance without giving up anything hurt. However, if you don’t love the player, don’t take him, so respect the decision and love taking Surtain.
Overall, very impressed with Paton’s start as start as GM. With that Surtain pick and free agency, he has turned an awful CB room into one of the best in the league. But also loved the way he played the draft, sticking to the board, not forcing needs. Looking to trade back into first round for Phillips, but then not taking another edge high is prime example of this. When you have right tackles being taken before our picks, but then not reaching on one is a philosophy that is going to put us in good stead. Paton will certainly get the coaches the right players, it might not be the flashiest, but its a solid start.

“I ate a brownie once at a party in college. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable, actually. I felt like I was floating. Turns out there wasn’t any pot in the brownie, it was just an insanely good brownie.” — Leslie Knope
What is your guys all time favorite dessert? For me it is a good New York Cheesecake with cherries on top.
Drew for QB
Who do you guys think gives us the better chance to win in the future getting Rodgers which obviously would help win now but questionable how long he’ll be able to play, Drew who I think has potential but is a very big hit or miss, or teddy who could just be the pilot and just help guide our loaded roster? I think it’s Rodgers but just wanna see what you guys think about it for the future

So after 14 long months of not watching any of my teams live, I finally got to watch the Avs Friday night at Staples Center. Fellas I’m pretty sure I had a cheesy perma-grin on my face the ENTIRE game. Man have I missed sports. Bummed my dude Nate didn’t play but Makar was awesome and we got the two points so all good.
I have heard this talked about before but do you guys think the NFL is going to prepare the schedule for the Broncos as if Rodgers is going to Denver? They almost have to do something right?
And lastly, I know how things work and respect the fact that people have agendas and different reasons for saying and doing things especially in the media. And I’m a pretty easy going guy, but if I ever run into Nick Wrong somewhere I think I would beat the living shit out of him. Not lying.

Hey guys!
Thanks for the great show on Friday. Seriously some of your best work.
Where do you see Baron Browning fitting into this defense? I know he can play all over the place at LB, but I would love for him to settle in next to AJ inside.
Also, wearing my DNVR shirt to work today and have already gotten several compliments! Have a great week my dudes!

Our fridge has been rather in rough shape over the weekend and my lunches have consisted of just bread with Mayo and whatever other condiment I could scrounge from the back of the ice box. Does that still count as a sandwich?
