First things first, our 58 yard field goals were extremely close this week. Brett lead Sam in every category minus completions but had only 2 TD. Brandon kicked a 54 yard field goal and a jets WR had over 100 yards. Crazy.
Now please please listen to me. If these coaches have any love at all for this team and Drew Lock, do not bring him back before the bye. Especially not against NE. Bill will break him. Hell KC will break him. Give Drew every opportunity to get healthy and tell him to go out and kick Atlanta’s butt. That is Drew’s best chance to succeed. But to take even more pressure off of him we need to beat Miami.
Who might we get back from injury for that game and would those players help us pull a win out over the dolphins?
Lovethunderdownunder
Well thank *beep* for that.
Denver offense scored 37 points. Against the Jets? Sure. But it’s more than the Bills, 49ers or Colts did.
John Elway and Gary Kubiak?
I’ll see your QB duo, and raise you a Horse *beep*’ Lock and a Big *Beep* Rypien.
Defense gave up 28? Well they really only gave up one TD, and were otherwise pretty in control. Though I did hear that John Elway wants to trade for, and start, Braden Mann at Safety after Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons were made to look like WAPs by some QB who looks and runs like an angry red headed Harry Potter.
All in all though – they did broncos country proud.
So – you given BDR the start against the Pats? I sure as hell am.
(P.S Zac, when you predict a score of 13-12 to the Jets, you’re taking the under brah) #oldtakesexposed #icheckedthepod

Hey guys just a couple of quick thoughts regarding the game
It is so obvious that Bausby is the Third best corner on the team. And Datson the best right tacle.
Metlife stadium is way worse than Estadio Azteca after a rainy Shakira Concert
PS. Was that sylvester williams playing?
Much love
Count Bridgeula
Bausby
Dotson
Rypien
Why’d we wait? Seriously what are the actual politics here or are our evaluators just whiffing?
Also, any word from the team on those turf conditions?

Go Broncos! Go DNVR! That is all.

A hypothetical Q for you gents:
Brett Drippin’ leads the Broncos to 2 more wins over Pats/Dolphins, and are then 3-3 headed into huge home tilt vs the Chiefs, BUT Lock has been medically cleared to play. Who starts? I’m not saying Rypien is a better QB than Lock, but in this scenario has he not earned the start? Obviously this is far fetched, but would be extremely interesting if it went down this way.
Also – props to the kicker. He’s the Broncos MVP thus far.

U knoooo what ….. I wanna see what this team has when healthy …..and the only way I can do that is if u let the best players play ….please Fangio please CAN U ACTIVATE ALBERT Ochocinco and last but far from least LET DEVANTE BAUSBY START 3 PDS in 2 quartets let that man be great Fangio how dare he have been on the practice squad man we can be competitive but you have to let the best players play put callhan I’m the slot and bausby and mike- ok on the outside please Fangio

Great win by the Broncos! Just a thought on why they didn’t roll with Rypien as backup from the beginning. I’m betting the coaches didn’t see a lot from Brett after the end of training camp last year. He was a rookie on the practice squad after all. So, they go into this offseason believing they needed a more experienced backup and chose Driskell (we can question that choice all over, but I’m setting that issue aside for this comment). There are no OTAs to see how Rypien has progressed and they don’t see him until training camp and he’s in the third string. I’m guessing they had a clue that he’d improved a lot at that point, but there wasn’t much risk in putting him on the practice squad for another year. I guess the tl;dr is that they signed Driskel because they didn’t know how much Brett had improved from last year. Now they know.
Go Broncos! Get healthy soon: A.J. Bouye, Jeremy Attaochu, Dre’mont Jones, DeMarcus Walker, Philip Lindsey, Noah Fant, KJ Hamler and, of course, Drew Lock.
I don’t think the highest paid safety in the league gets juked out of his shoes by Sam Darnold. Maybe the 6th highest paid would. Proud of brett rypien pencil him in as the back up for the next 5 years. I hope Drew can come back before the Pats game as he looked good on the sideline but not getting my hopes up. Feels good to have some positivity in Broncos Country again.

Last night the broncos took a lickin but kept on Rypien!
…..yeah that’s really all I got, we can’t all be The Count….lol
Oh also, #FreeSamDarnold! Kid deserves so much better than the trash he’s stuck with. I preface this with the fact that I am a big Trojan homer but If for whatever reason John and co. Come to the unlikely conclusion that Lock isn’t their guy then I hope they would have a serious discussion about acquiring Darnold.

Dang it feels good to get a win! I know some people are upset cause this could take us out of the Trevor Lawrence discussion, but I don’t subscribe to losing. If the Jets do end up drafting Trevor, and god forbid we decide Drew isn’t the long term solution at QB, what are your guys thoughts on the Broncos trading for Darnold? I think he’d at least have a better chance succeeding here with the roster as is; injuries and all.
Kendall Hinton, Hall of Famer
May not get this comment in time, but a win feels so good and while you guys are taking your victory laps over the coaching staff for saying players like Dotson should be started, I’ll take my victory lap for saying this Denver team is fundamentally a much better team than the Jets. It was close, but look at their coaching and all those penalties, these teams are separated by a small, but significant and definitive margin.
So many players shined in this game, Ojemudia looks like a starting CB for a while for us, Bausby might leap-frog Bassey as a 4th CB or in nickel, Chubb’s 2.5 sacks assuage some of my fears about him just being average/slightly above-average, Tim Patrick is showing why he was named a starting WR and could be a long-term piece for us.
Finally, one thing I don’t think we talk about enough when discussing tanking, whether to start players in a losing season, etc. is the pro-bowl, all-pro, legacy, and HoF implications. Even good players on bad teams aren’t consistently recognized for all-pros and pro-bowls, meaning being a truly bad team for even a year can make it WAY harder for a player to get an accolade they deserve like a pro bowl or for that player to be a Hall of Famer. But playing them and getting them injured can hurt as well, a catch 22, but I don’t think this is brought up enough when discussions of like “we can’t make playoffs, we want to lose x games and get a better draft pick” happen. Thanks!

My peoples!
I hate to do it, but ima bring the vibe down a bit. No matter what happens for the rest of this season, as unfair as it may seem, i think Vic is not the answer.
You guys have highlighted what i feel is the biggest issue with Fangio.
He is not a good talent evaluator and i firmly believe he is causing the team major problems. Wilkerson over Dotson. Bassey or Bausby. Driskell over Brett.
Screw This
It was a messy game but we got the win. Coaching massively improved on both sides of the ball. It is nice to know fangio listens to the podcast with all of the Josey jewels blitz’s. Risner and Glasgow are underperforming. I find it weird that Hamilton lead all recievers in play time. He was in 81% of the offensive snaps and he is still not producing. My last thought is Hamilton has had two deep balls thrown at him that should be touchdowns. In his defense they were overthrown but he doesn’t even make an effort to catch the ball. Once healthy I would like to see Hamler get a chance at those plays maybe with his speed he won’t be overthrown. Onto New England
