Why is there no chatter for Todd Bowles? Is it a lack of interest by Denver or is he comfortable where he is?
Pretty exciting day and some interesting names for sure. I want whoever is going to bring us RW3 or develop a young draft pick. I’m all the way out on AR12 now. 6 months ago, all in. He’s really put a bad taste in my mouth and I can’t mentally separate that from the on field play.
The Bears are no envy but I admire their swings at the QB position. They have drafted two top QB prospects with real investments, meanwhile, what have we done?? Like Zac says, no real investment at all.

Great pod today fellas. Loved the camera cuts on the live show, rather than a static camera the whole time. Small change that makes a big impact. You guys are pushing all the right buttons over at DNVR! Cheers boys!

Hey guys I wanted to hear your thoughts on a non-coach related topic for our Broncos: who do you think will be back at the inside LB position? I ask because the only player currently under contract there that I could see starting next year is Baron Browning, but there are obviously multiple guys who came in an contributed at that position throughout the season. I personally thought Kenny Young and Browning made a great tandem and steadied the run game after the Browns debacle, but would also be cool if they brought back Josey Jewell. Is it safe to say Alexander Johnson is gone? And if there are no better options available around the 9th pick how would you guys feel about drafting Nakobe Dean from Georgia? He’s a crazy playmaker and had 4.0 GPA this past year! Thanks fellas.

hey guys,
so what happened with doug pederson? media in denver were pretty confident that he’d at least get an interview. mike klis had him number 1 on his coaching list. woody paige straight up said he’d get an interview. and then today we hear that he’s expected to get an interview by jason la canfora but that gets shot down pretty quickly by klis. any insight onto what happened there?

Thanks, guys, for AWESOME coverage this season! Wish we had more to cover playoff wise, but this will be a HUGE offseason for us and look forward to awesome coverage of that as well as the DNVR Fam sticks together.
My question for the day is has the NFL looked at modifying the way draft order is set? the current system is not great for Fans. I have watched the last 2 games wanting to win and wanting to lose. that is kind of weird.
I think a more sensible way to do it (although it would not have benefited us this year) would be lock in the records after all teams’ complete byes. then follow the same system. pull out the playoff teams and stack by records that were locked with 3-4 games to go. Losses don’t improve your pick and wins down the stretch don’t hurt. In fact, the opposite happens because ties are broken by winning percentage. Thoughts?
I like this! I think it’s an excellent idea. Can’t think of any downside. Would have been after Week 15’s slate this season, all teams would have played 14 out of 17. Top 5 picks are actually unchanged; Broncos would have been worse at pick 13. Draft order after Week 15 below, # is playoff qualifiers so order tbc.

Good day gentlemen. Have really enjoyed the pods of late with most of them having all three of you involved – great chemistry, a blend of opinions and viewpoints, the spicy takes, humour and back and forth debate. Top stuff.
On the AroundTheNFL podcast the chaps were speculating about Browns potentially trading away Baker in his final rookie deal year. He didn’t come up in the QB debates in December. Do you think he’d fit? Is he an upgrade? And what would you give up in a trade for the former overall #1 pick? A first and a fourth?

Guys, you lost me – as a subscriber. It’s nothing you guys did, just a financial decision on my part. I really enjoyed my couple years as a sub and will continue to listen to the pod every day, I just won’t be commenting anymore come early February. That also means no more of my comments that are consistently 2 paragraphs long so that’s a plus for you guys.
So, reposting from yesterday: I like Dan Quinn, but it’s also hard to get excited about him. The best coaches with “experience” are already taken cause they’re on teams (Andy Reid, Belichick) just like the best QBs with experience are usually taken. You can choose to go with someone who’s been to a super bowl (aka Flacco, Jimmy G at QB or Pederson and Quinn at coach) instead of a young prospect at QB or coach, but how many people really get excited about those guys?
QB and coach aren’t perfectly analogous, but they’re close enough that we should bring the same energy for them that we would QBs with experience who aren’t the best like Jimmy G. Even if Quinn is the hire though, this is shaping up to be a hell of an exciting offseason.

Dan Quinn is the top candidate for the head coaching job but I have a hot take. My hot take is I don’t even think he will be available for hire. I think the Cowboys fire McCarthy and promote Dan Quinn as head coach. I mean Kellen calls the offense and Quinn calls the defense. McCarthy is a liability to the team and hurts the team more than helps. I know it is unlikely that they fire a head coach who takes a team to the playoffs but I think this is 100% the right move

Pretty cool that the Broncos can be officially sold now. I love the fact that Peyton has a chance to be an owner. I would love it even more if he could make it happen so that he can prove he’s more a Bronco than a Colt!!!

My boys! This offseason is going to be insane and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds. Now that the home/away opponents have been finalized, I’m looking forward to 2022! I’ll be going to watch the Broncos play in Baltimore, Carolina, and Seattle next year, and am going to come out for a home game at some point too. Like Mase, I too collect souvenir cups from each stadium I see the Broncos play in! I also will be establishing a Broncos supporters group here in central Ohio and have made arrangements with a local bar. More to come on that.
Browns fans here in Ohio are trying to run Baker out of town. What do you guys think about this option if Russ/Rodgers don’t pan out, and CLE doesn’t pick up his 5th year option?
Long live DNVR. Can’t wait to get back out there next year. That chicken sandwich sounds bomb.
Go Broncos.

Fellas,
Just my opinion but, Dan Quinn reminds me of John Fox. He’s a solid, dependable leader who can steady an organization which is what Denver desperately needed when Fox was hired in 2011. Excited to see where this search goes. Cheers and thanks for the outstanding coverage!

I don’t think finding the next head coach is as complex as people are making it ……. If George Patton is your GM …… Mike Zimmer got good offensive production out of Shurmur (surprisingly ) … Kubiak and Kevin stefanski …..Sean mcvay has got good defensive production from wade Phillips and later on Brandon Staley ….. whomever is the caoch needs to galvanize a lead his team on one accord (something Zimmer failed to do ) and be able to make great hires on the other side of the ball ……jimmy garopolo didn’t get sf to a Superbowl … Robert Saleh and that defense did …… Kansas city was just a video game until spags came and gave that defense a booster shot …… The one thing all these caoches have I’m Denver that they won’t get elsewhere ???? Is the person making the Personnel decisions will equip u to be successful and not a lotta other teams can say that in my opinion …Imma trust George no matter whom he hires we gotta let this man carry his vision out see what develops
larrydennjr
And I’m referencing teams with open head coach positions …. btw …. I know it’s only his first year but I’d take what george did in roster building over any of these other open head coaching positions
Nathaniel Thiccett?
I’m having a hard time coming up with a new name based on any of these coaching candidates, which is my only criteria. Ditch this list and do what it takes to get Curvy Smart.
I’ve got to take a minute here to stump for Hackett here, the lazy take just has him as the “Rodgers” guy, but the guy is an absolute character, has a ton of experience as a play caller (even if LaFleur is calling the plays now), and had a Blake Bortles led Jacksonville team damn near to an AFC championship win over the Evil Empire.
More than anything else his personality and energy are absolutely infectious and basically the anti-Fangio as a leader. I know Quinn is the club favourite but Hackett/McDaniel/Mayo are my dream team.
BRONCOS-SQUARED
Hey hey! It’s been a minute since I commented, but I just wanted to check in to see if you guys are getting enough sleep with all of this off-season news!
If you understand my username you’ll probably know I’m a Kellen Moore fan!!
The new overtime rule should be each team selects 5 players who they think can kick field goals and do a penalty type shoot-out.
Thanks for all of the coverage! You weren’t kidding about the off-season being insane.

Hey Kings!
So here’s what scares me about ownership. Finding a good owner is about as hard as finding a franchise QB. Just looking at a list this morning of the last 10 teams that have been sold, and out of them only 3 have had sustained success- Baltimore, LA rams, and Buffalo. It scares me that it could potentially be a 30% chance of getting a good owner. What do you guys think?
