Hey the DNVR family!
I’ve got 2 questions:
1. Absolutely loved the segment with Arch Manning and that Peyton was the GM & I would actually love to take that thought further.
Peyton said a couple of weeks ago that he could see himself in the front office of some NFL team. Do you think that there’s a possibility that Peyton will replace Elway when he maybe will retire? (wondering because of his recent Radio comments)
2. Rivers got asked about the year Chargers started 0-4 and then went 9-7 & how they were able to turn it around. I want to hears your thoughts surrounding that? Here’s a link: https://twitter.com/NickiJhabvala/status/1179522495604391936?s=19
P.S. Maybe Nick Perry would be a great replacement for Chubb?
Sorry for the long post!
Thanks as always,

Yes, it does indeed mean I’m from the Isle of Man. Pretty suprised you picked up on that!
Lock has that fire/swag in him that will hype a crowd and the team will rally behind. Once he gets his feet right and stops relying on his arm talent (which he has in abundance), he will show us he is the guy to battle Mahomes for the next 10+ years. Maybe optimism getting the better of me but this didn’t happen one bit for Paxton.

Was VJ over performing with this roster?
Are we as bad as the dolphins and redskins? Record wise yes, franchise wise far from it. While we do have the ownership issues, the fore mentioned franchise don’t have a front office and owenership that really cares to win. You can tell by the complacency and moves they make. While we have been missing our shots badly, we’ve been trying to take real shots. Those franchise are Carlton from fresh prince playing basketball but blindfolded and facing the wrong way.The quote and attitude of Chubb is what separates a man from a boy. That’s a mature grown man attitude. That’s what you want from a franchise cornerstone. Elway is sounding like the delusion he’s been under since 2015 is really starting to wear off finally. The thing that addicts (Elway does seem to be addicted to winning), and stubborn people need is absolute rock bottom to finally face the music. This year really seems like finally that rock bottom he needed to look in the mirror.

Mase I’m a long time follower. If we don’t roll the dice on injury history guys do we go after Manning?

So what are us fans suppose to do this weekend? Are we suppose to cheer for them to win or be pissed off because it got us a crappier draft spot? What a weird position to be in.
Also, name three, in order of importance, who the broncos should resign with their expiring contracts.

When I was a kid I deeply loathed how The Simpsons made fun of the Denver broncos. The bits were funny but I hated how the broncos were the butt of the jokes. Times are seemingly dark like that again, but when I get blue (always Tinged with some
Blue, of course ) I just think back to 1979 and the time when Robin Williams had a brief stint as a Broncos’ Cheerleader. look it up If you don’t know it – we all need a laugh (or giggle, Zac) right now, right?

Alright boys, if Drew Lock ends up being “the guy”, do we give him weapons and help him out or do we build our defense with Vic in the draft? I really hope Drew’s the guy, his confidence and leadership is what this team needs. BTW, I love “DNVR” addition to the intro!

Hey boys. My take on Elway. I loved watching EVERY game he played as a Denver Bronco, I never felt the Broncs didn’t have a chance to win any game John played in! Now; John Elway; the President of football operations/GM, check this out from his Wikipedia page. Executive career :
In December 2010, Elway expressed interest in working as the Broncos’ top football executive, after having dinner with Broncos owner Pat Bowlen. However, he expressed no interest in being a head coach or general manager after Josh McDaniel’s firing, saying, “I’m not interested in being a head coach. I’m not interested in being a general manager. I don’t have that kind of experience to be able to pick those players day in and day out and such.”
That quote is from ESPN.com. One thing I will never ever fault John for is honoring Mr. B.’s desire to play EVERY season to win Championships!!! Go Broncos/DNVR

Prediction for Sunday. The Denver Broncos 52, the Los Angeles Super Chargers 0. ” This one is for Bradley! “

Hey guys,
You talked the other day about this year also being to see what Drew Lock’s work ethic and habits are off the field. What are you hearing or seeing so far? Is he more Paxton Lynch style and partying a lot, or is he a guy who is first to arrive and last to leave? What kind of impression is he making on the Broncos organization while he is on IR?
Also, I loved it last year when several different listeners made their own mixes and beats for the intro song on the podcast. There was some really great creativity that came out of that and some good variety. Although it’s a classic, I get a little board hearing the same old country music intro song everyday. Any chance you will let the listeners spice it up again?
Aloha,
Micah
So I never do this but I had to make a second comment do to some very deep midnight pondering while I couldn’t sleep Sorry it’s longer and understand if you don’t read it on the pod. Is it wrong for me to be highly skeptical of Tua and Hurts as pro prospects because of both coming from Bama and so far at OU neither has had to face true adversity on the field and succeeded. At Bama the cards are so stacked in your favor that it’s hard to not look good for them guys like AJ Mcarron (as well as OU so far because they’ve played a joke of a schedule so far.) I much prefer hitching my wagon to guys like Elingher, Lock, and (so far) Burrows. I’d rather trust in a David than a Goliath. Guys who had to go in with at least a good amount of chips stacked against them on their schedule and their team’s talent and either let their manhood hang or drown. The beautifully harsh thing about the NFL is regardless of your physical gifts or what program you played for it exposes you for who and what you truly are as a player and person. I’d much rather depend on the battle tested David than the possible mirage of a Goliath.
Mr. T
I want to harken back to one week ago, when I asked the three of you who you thought would have more wins at the end of the season: the Broncos or Raiders. Your consensus answer was the Broncos. Feel like changing your answer? Also, if the Broncos do end up with, say, the 5th overall pick, which teams do you see coming after them in the draft order that need a QB and would be willing to make a deal? Thanks!
Mr. T
Obviously, this assumes that Drew the Lock Ness Monster shows enough this year for the team to think he’s the real deal.

If it’s for Bradley, why not 55-0?
Minnesota Paul
I viewed the injury report for Emmanuel Sanders on FanDuel, and it says “Per Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com…” They forgot to update their source to The DNVR, but who cares. Congratulations! You made it boys! You’re officially the national authority on all things Broncos.

This is a bit lengthy but I’ve wanted to share it here for a while. With this being Chargers week, I’d like to tell the story about how I was kicked out and Banned from Qualcomm Stadium. I promise I’ll shorten it to only the highlights.
It was the 2008 season week 17. First meeting after the infamous Ed Hochuli incomplete/fumble call on Cutler. The stadium was electric! I was there with my then fiancee and had been waiting outside for a long time as the game was flexed into prime time. Well we know the rest of that story, blow out loss in the worst fashion. Well, about 5 minutes into the 4th qtr one very drunk chargers decided it would be a good idea to pour beer all over my fiancee shouting “Eff the Donkeys!” Naturally that didn’t fly with me and he hit the ground pretty quickly. I then realized where I was and all these Charger fans saw was Orange on Yellow. My saving grace came in the form of 2 really cool swole samoan charger fans sitting behind us. They protected me until the police arrived. I was lead out of the stadium in handcuffs (I did assault the guy after all.) After getting all the information I was released but was told I could not return to any Chargers games at the stadium.
Oh yeah, it was 20th birthday too.

My guys! Few quick hitting questions/thoughts for you guys.
Ik the Vikings said Stefon Diggs is not available via trade but IFFFF he were I think this would make sense for us moving forward with his age and playmaking ability. Albeit his pricetag being hefty (in the neighborhood of 16mil/yr I believe) 1. Do you guys agree this would make sense for our team (imagine courtland, stefon diggs, and Noah fant… scary sight) 2a. What do you think is a fair trade for him in general and b) what would it take for our team specifically (I think CHJ has to be apart of the package). Also I’ve been impressed with Devante Bausby, hes been looking good and might be a part of our secondary in the future if he can prove his consistency. Can you guys blame me for looking to the future already ?? I’ve kind of wrote this year off already smh. Can’t wait to see drew lock and next years draft lol
Orange and Blue all over
Question today related to the most talked about QB on broncos – Brandon Allen!
Which makes it harder to play Drew Lock week 9:
Broncos are 2-6 under Flacco
Or
Brandon Allen gets playing time after week 6 due to (knock on wood) flacco injury or less likely scenario that elway gives into fans clamouring for change and looks good going 1-1 in two starts.
Would replacing Allen who he expected to look better than place more pressure and higher expectations on Lock than replacing Flacco?
Thanks!
P.s. i’m pumped for #ManningInTheBuff(s)2027
FANTasy Fiasco
Are the Broncos taking Theo Riddick off IR when he’s healthy?
Is Theo or Devontae more likely to be traded?
Would they bring in someone else with less quality if there was a trade?
Count Bridgeula
Gents,
What would an 8 game sample of LocK have to look like for you to be comfortable not taking a qb1 in the draft?
5-3 record 20 tds 10ints 200 rush yds 2 rush tds 2200 yds passing?
I feel like those would be good numbers, but would they be good enough? And if we didn’t take a
Qb with our looming top 6 pick would you go O Line or WR or Something else ?
I’ll be eating a cold slice of humble pie and biding my time in my belfry awaiting your reverberations.

My guys, sorry about being such a sour puss on my last comment. I was just having a really hard time swallowing that loss. But MASE!!! if you’re offering I would love to meet you before the game. I was getting ready to ship you guys one of my medals, but if you have the time being able to gift that to you in person would be super cool.. I’ll be in section 131 row c seats 1 and 2.
One football related note. It seems this defense is always almost in position to make a play. Is there something to be said that switching to a zone heavy scheme is causing our players to over think their responsibilities in coverage. Maybe we dont have the right pieces to run fangios scheme? Your thoughts ?
Any way so proud and happy to be a part of this community

Could you name some potential players we could target in free agency or the draft that brings the energy and is a really good leader?
OrangeBlue89
Just a tought… hasn’t Elway already shown us who he is as a GM? This coming offseason he will just trade for another old superbowl winning QB… so we will eaither have Eli Manning or Big Ben. And then in the draft get another Edge rusher in the first round. By no means do I want this to happen, but Elway has already done it twice, so would a third time really be that big of a surprise?
MrFreeze
Ryan claims Mr Goodbar isn’t in his top 100 candy list, what 100 are better than Mr. Goodbar?
Hey guys! Greetings from Edmonton, Alberta!
When looking at this team, what concerns me almost more than the on-field product is the seeming leadership shift in the locker room that is being stunted. When we talk about the guys in the locker room who seem to be exhibiting the traits of leaders and captains, you think Chubb, Risner, Lindsay, Sutton, and potentially Lock. Sanders really is the sole veteran I’d put into that category right now. Do you think enough is being done to empower the young players to step up and take the reigns of this team as leaders? Comments like the one about Lindsay not being viewed as a leader for being a second year player and I’m curious as to where that correction in culture needs to start. If we’re going anywhere, it’s the young blood that’s gonna take us there.
PS, if you think we’re suffering as broncos fans, imagine having a Pat Mahomes type talent (McDavid) leafing your team and still being dumpster juice. Welcome to Oil Country.
*Comments like he one about Lindsay concern me

I’ve seen guys like Ben Albright say it’s confirmed drew will come back from ir, and that he will play when were officially eliminated from playoffs is that true? Also I know it’s hard on an 0-4 team but who is your guys pick for who’s been the best offensive, defensive and special teams player so far? And who are the guys with the most heart/fight
