One way to help the Broncos would be trying some extra QB scrambles/RPO game on Vic. I remember how awful Vic was against teams like the Eagles or Chiefs that were all about that type of offense when Vic was our coach. Defense should maybe trial some zone blitz to equal out the pressure and have the deep side covered. But before my two written down wins at the start are losses, the Broncos are 1-9 playing in Miami and I had that down as their first loss of the season. Go Broncos and y’all will make my day if you read this comment!

Just gotta work the kinks out boys!

This team will figure it out. Gotta remember, it’s a new defense, offensive, and special teams coaching staff.

I do think we lose at the Dolphins, but we can still find 10 wins the rest of the year.

Fans have got to get the negative thoughts out. Be a fan, not a hater.

Much respect my fam.

It’s hard to see our Broncos Country brothers and sisters so out on OUR team so early. It has been a long slog through the desert of losing, and we may not be at the end of it yet, but this is our team and we must believe! Broncos Country needs to be a part of the culture shift to the winning ways. Our fans need to support our squad and not tear them down for every mistake. Accountability lies with the players and coaches, but we as fans also have be accountable for our role too. Love the Orange and Blue! I believe that we will win! GO BRONCOS!

Firstly, I’m impressed with the overall offensive output. Clearly Russ’s deficiencies in communication and holding onto the ball surfaced against Washington, but our scoring output per possession is at/near the top of the NFL. Although they kept the point total down Week 1, the defense has bent A LOT in both games and have allowed opposing offenses to extend drives and play keep away. We’ve seen bend but don’t break can work in this league, but it clearly isn’t always conducive to complimentary football.

Secondly, I think the book is out on Russ’s inability to operate an offense the way a franchise QB is expected to. He required a lot of assistance in Seattle, and we’re seeing for the second straight year that it was for good reason. I’m sure for 2023 Coach Payton will find a way to get that cleaned up and I don’t anticipate a midseason QB change. Beyond that, I don’t think he’s going to be satisfied with a 12 year vet that needs training wheels and a relatively restrictive offensive scheme and I fully expect that to be a storyline into the next offseason.

Ok. Its pretty clear that while diminishing, Russ still has all the physical talent to be a Pro Bowl QB. If his work ethic is unquestioned, how does he not focus 100% on improving what seems to be the clear weak point, communication and understanding of unscripted plays?
