To RK, I always want more people supporting Chelsea FC but your idea of support Wolves sounds like a great idea. They used to be a up and down team, mostly down but that has changed. In 2016 Chinese conglomerate Fosun bought the club and started rebuilding it. One way they did it was becoming really, and I mean REALLY, close to the Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes. It was even suspected that he was their inofficial general manager, couldn’t be proved though. What Mendes did though was moving players from his stable to Wolves when they were still in the second tier of English football. Players which should’ve and could’ve played for any top club in Europe. This, among other things, made them win the championship in 17-18 and finish 7th in their first season of premier league football 18-19, normally new teams end up in the bottom 8. Currently they’re sitting at the the top half of the premiership, and I would say that they are a safe premier league club now a days, especially with one of china’s, if not china’s, biggest company owning them. If you jump on now you got an exciting fight for top for and champions league football to look forward to AND they’re currently at the the Europa league (2nd tier European cup competition) playoffs this spring.

When would a potential Broncos game in London take place? Any chance it is close to when the Avs are playing in Finland this year? It seems like the Avs games would be in the first half of November.

Call me a hipster but I only have a weird jersey. I proudly sport my Mcmanus jersey to games. I always get the “why do you own that jersey?” and tons of fans from the opposing team taking pictures of my back in the queue to enter while blocking out the Mcm. Mase, you should try some of the hazy ipas that are everywhere these days. They are nowhere near as bitter. A good place to start is New Image Brewing, Cerebral Brewing or Weldwerks. All local. I still do love a great Nitro Vanilla Porter on a cold day though.

Do you guys think that this will receive large scale media attention moving forward? While I understand this is mainly a bad thing for the Broncos organization and Broncos Country if it gets messy; is it worth considering that the media attention, that could come with this story, could actually shed a little spotlight on the Broncos? Maybe enough spotlight that people will actually watch Drew Lock play before they put him at number 29 on the qb index?

Man all of y’all were on your joke game today. With this new development I think it’s time for most Bronco fans to understand that the Bowlens may not own the Broncos anytime soon. It will be a hard pill to swallow but we have to try and look at the bright side. Would you be afraid of a new ownership would start operating the team purely to please the fans ie putting a bunch of players in ring of fame or retiring numbers in order to get into the fans good graces? Also I told my friend the same when it came to the young offense, most of our guys are going into their second-third year and I think that absolutely means way more than going with nothing but rookies.

Also with the CHJ-Chiefs bit, my (Chiefs fan) friend drove for Uber here in North Texas and actually met CHJ picking up his dad! My friend was wearing a Chiefs shirt and CHJ gave him crap for it however if they pay him the money they want whether you dislike them or not you’re gonna wanna join the reigning SB champs.

Sorry guys but I have to disagree with you. Reclining on an airplane is a must. I’m 6’4″ 250 pounds. I’m not sure how tall you guys are but those extra few inches of reclining are the most important thing to me on a flight. I will literally pass on an exit row if the seats don’t recline because that slight recline takes all the pressure off my thighs and that’s more important then leg room. It gives my body enough of an angle to where I get some relief. Plane rides suck and I can’t sit in the aisle because my shoulders are so wide that everyone runs into me, especially the drink cart. I look at it this way, 99% of the people on this flight are more comfortable then me, so hell I’m taking both arm rest, I don’t care if I kick your seat because I can’t help it and Mase I’m crushing your computer if you try to stop me from reclining. I think you should ask some tall guys their thoughts on reclining. Now Bronco topic. If Panthers were interested in trading McCaffrey would you think they would be more incline to take 2021 picks. The reason I ask this is because they would prob trade the picks to the Bengals in attempt to get Burrow. That means the Bengals will be loading up for a shot to get Lawrence. I think the Bengals would want as much ammunition in 2021 for Lawrence. So with that thought I assume you would trade our 2021 1st for McCaffrey?

Could not agree more on the obscure jersey discussion! The last jersey I got from my former favourite soccer team 1860 Munich was from a 19 year old defender from Georgia, who rarely played, often stumbled over his own feet and whose name literally no one could pronounce: Mate Ghvinianidze. I don’t really know why I did it, I just loved the underdog I guess. Never saw another fan with the same jersey number. My Avs jersey is from former goaltender David Aebischer. Again: no real connection.
Any recommendation of who I should get for a Broncos jersey? My favourite right now would be McManus. Although I would love it if the Broncos would sign Sam Ficken, just because his last name means to f… in German… I wonder if he knows that….

Fangio is a D guru so is spending a ton of money on Defense, would it be better to spend the money on offense and draft young Defensive guys so Fangio can mold them into what he wants and it wont cost a arm and a leg for the team. That way we can go get some of the best Offensive guys so if we need to be in a shoot out we can. I’m on the chris jones train, but is that short sided thinking and not long term stability for the team thinking.

For me, Chris Jones resigns with the Chiefs, Chris Harris signs with the Chiefs, they trade up to take Laviska Shenault in the first, the Chargers draft Tua Tagovailoa, somehow collect another piece for their O line and then the Raiders come along and grab Henry Ruggs. Since Simmons and Kinlaw are already gone and the Broncos aren’t trading we, as Broncos country, fear the worst. Goodell walks to the podium and chuckles a little as he says, “With the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select… Jordan Love, Quarterback, Utah State. *Mase shrieks in horror* On top of all this, Ryan gets tired of Keto and can’t inspire us with his personal choices, Mase gets a serious burn in his mouth and can no longer taste food, and Zac loses his angelic laugh. How about Broncos sign Chris Harris Jr., ship him and DaeSean Hamilton to Philly for #21 pick. Broncos send #21 to Minnesota for Stefon Diggs. Philly does a sign and trade on Agholor to the Vikings to round out the three team deal.

Broncos get Diggs without losing draft capital, Philly gets the corner they desperately need plus receiver depth, Vikings get another first and instant WR depth.

Hey guys, long time listener and this is my first time commenting. With all the recent talk of the Premier League and RK’s quest to finding a team, can’t help but say I’m a life long United fan. Coming from a big European soccer family, I’ve been watching them play since I can remember. I can say I fell in love with their history e.g. the busby babes, Munich air disaster, the holy trinity, class of 92 (being that I was born that year) and the greatness of their manager Sir Alex Ferguson who retired in 2013. These last few years as a Broncos and United fan have been rough with the Broncos pretty much being irrelevant these last four seasons and United not winning anything of great relevance in the last seven. The ownership of these two teams has also been a hot topic lately with the latest twist in the Bowlen children saga and the questioning/ protests of the Glazer family who own United (and also Mase’s beloved Tampa Bay Bucs.) I do have to say that I see you as a Spurs fan RK. Now to my Broncos related question for the three of you guys, what would be your ideal A+ draft for the Broncos five picks in the top 100 barring any trades?

Rk your right courtland didn’t go off every game but he also doesn’t get the kinda targets that other top 10 wrs get with more targets he’ll have more production. Two questions …..#1 is the pursuing of Byron Jones who for sure will play outside mostly …. An indication that Bryca Callahan will be healthy and playing the slot because Byron i dont think is as versatile as Chris so what do we do to replace chris production in the slot if we get byron jones …and #2 . If we’re gonna pay Justin Simmons can we for the next 3-4 years afford to allocate 2 premiums to our secondary If we get Byron Jones as well ? Is that a good idea ?

I have a ’17 Orange Jersey (17 for the year I was married, wife got us matching ones for my wedding gift) but it has my last name on it. So when I get out there for games people actually boo me for Osweiler then see they back and go who the hell was Rendler??? I make something up that he was the shortest player ever or he did something ridiculous. They then look down on their phones immediately and start googling things trying to find whatever false player I gave them. Priceless.

My TD one was one of my favorite memories. Stuck in Dallas Airport in ’95, I am 7 years old. Sitting at the gate; nearly midnight; waiting for the flight to Denver, airport nearly empty. My mom hands me pen and paper and I draw tic-tac-toe boards as feverishly as I can.

She crumples them up and points to this guy across the way, who was “TOWERING” he had to be 75 feet tall, with 2 (what looked to be) bodyguards around him. I look at her with utter bewilderment not knowing what to do. I walk over and hand the first guy the pen and paper and run away as fast as I can.

He looks to the other guy and whispers something. My mom pulls out more paper and another pen and tells me the guy in the middle. I walk over sheepishly, all color drained from my face and extend my hand.

He says “I like your jersey”.

“Thanks” I meekly squeak after a pause so long, kissing your cousin would be less awkward.

He pushes the paper away and reaches out and grabs my jersey. I look back at my mom fearing for my life, she smiles then looks back down at her book. I see the other hand coming in with and object in it and I nearly peed my pants. I slam my eyes shut and start praying. Then I hear squeaking, wait squeaking? The grip releases and I open my eyes slowly, looking down expecting to see blood pouring out everywhere, knowing this is the end and my mom cared more about that book.

Instead right on the 3 is scribbled “Terell Davis -30” I was wearing his jersey and had no freaking idea what he looked like.

Ok, yes Mase, please send me a photo of the Fish and Chips board you spoke of; that would definitely make me chuckle for sure. I actually support the US spellings on a lot of words, as they make more sense, most of the time 😉 The pronunciation however, on certain words, does make me cringe; aluminium, leisure, niche, vitamin, mobile, vase, data, oregano, basil, Iraq, to name but a few. hahaha

Loved the chat about dogs. We have always had big dogs. We are on our second Boerboel at the moment. First Boerboel was called Denver, and current bitch is called Aspen. I wasn’t allowed to call any of them Bronco, like my beloved Tim Tebow did with his Ridgeback, as my wife is a Seahawk Fan – but go with a Colorado theme always 🙂 Anyhow, Aspen is over 150lbs, but her Dad is over 200lbs. Eat me out of house and home! lol. Thoroughly recommend any type of Mastiff, as they don’t need much walking, generally. Ours just sleep and sleep. Only downside; slobber! We have a cat too, Zac, Bumble the Bengal, and him and Aspen are best friends. Defo get a dog; I can’t imagine never having one again.

I’m a little behind on pods and just heard you guys talking about my poor decision making in regards to one Paxton lynch jersey, and to answer your question Mase, I tried to tell myself that the dab was just swaggy AF, but I knew deep down I’d made a horrible mistake. The gif burns my soul a little every time I see it.
I’m saving myself for the right jersey to buy next, but until then I’ll ride with some killer DNVR merch.

As far as the off-season, I am falling in love with the idea of giving Vic Isiah Simmons. He could cover Kelce and he gives you the opportunity to disguise your defense in super sneaky ways. Mahommes would be like “is he the LB, the safety, or the nickle…” Too late, sacked!

Of Course, we would need to trade up for this. Its okay, you get Byron Jones, maybe Javon Hargrave, maybe Amari Cooper. Trade from 15 to 9. give up 15 and a second. Would that be enough? What do y’all think of Simmons.

I can’t believe you guys are in to The Bachelor. At least Mase doesn’t seem to watch it. What is the point? It is totally fake. The drama of sports is awesome in part because it is real and not predetermined. With The Bachelor, you know that the producers have contrived certain situations, so how satisfying is that?

I have a follow up question about basketball in response to something said on the last pod. I believe it was Mase that suggested that the NBA would really love to have the Lakers and Clippers face off in the Western Conference Finals. The implication is that they can somehow influence that outcome. I happen to agree with the notion that the NBA influences the outcomes of games/series, but I’d like to hear your takes on that.

Finally, I want to add that your podcast killed it yesterday with the run down on the shenanigans in the ownership situation. I saw somewhere else that Ryan teased that you guys often get inside info at the combine but its behind the paywall. You sold me, I’m renewing for a year!

1) Andre mentioned Derek Wolfes name when talking about Kinlaw and I gave it a Google. DUDE IS 6’6 310! Totally thought he was Aaron Donald when imagining his stature in my head. Wouldn’t even be mad if we drafted him over Ruggs or Wirfs if he dropped (unlikely, I know) even though it’s not nearly as much of a need.
2) David Johnson in a broncos uniform next year, how do you feel about it? I don’t think we will and I would HATE the move from a financial standpoint but imagine if he could get back to the running back he was when he broke out. Had 1000 rushing and receiving that year if I’m not mistaken. I know you guys don’t love these types of questions but it’s the offseason so why not have fun with these scenarios
