Guys,
I have been saying that Allen will be better then Flacco. I am going to put out predictions for his stats and if he meets or exceeds them then you all must admit that myself and vabeachbronco were right. If hes worse then I will toss some into the world tour and admit that he sucks.
68% comp. rate, 228 passing yards, 25 rushing yards, 2TDs(rush or pass) 1 Int (not to mention I think he will be more fun to watch)
Comp rate and yards are just a touch better then Flaccos average this year and if he gets 2 tds then well hes just flat out better.
Deal?

Well Bumpy, it’s been you and me clamoring for this for weeks, and here it is. I can guarantee you one thing: for at least one quarter, Broncos country will have a reason to tune in. The unknown of Allen is better than the known, predictable, boring Flacco performance. We’ll see.
bumpybuffalo
Honestly, even if Allen looks the same as Flacco until the last 2 minutes of the half I would be fine with that. I would enjoy seeing him scramble around and heave the hail mary as a prayer rather then take another strip sack to end the game. I personally think he will be better and will get 2 TDs but at least this is the first step to seeing Lock. Thanks for being on my side and go Allen!

Guys,
These are some confusing times for Broncos fans and that’s the lightest way to put it. I’ve been a broncos fan for 21 years (since I was 7) and I don’t remember the franchise more derailed than it is now., this includes when we had Josh McDaniels as our HC. You would think that our intended franchise QB would be prepared & ready to take the reigns as the starting QB but disturbingly according to Elway and Fangio he is not.
I’m honestly beginning to think that Elway and brass really are holding Drew back they don’t expose how bad he is. This would save Elway from being ridiculed for drafting another bad QB and this way they can trade him and then draft someone like Justin Herbert (which Is not my QB of choice).
I love my Broncos and always will but as a longtime, hardcore Broncos fan who bleeds orange and blue it’s sad and disheartening to see this proud franchise starting to collapse into an organization like the Raiders. I really hope the light bulb turns on for Elway and just let Lock play, because I think he can be pretty good for us.
Sorry for the long post, thanks guys for all you do for Broncos country

Gentlebros,
I just received my custom rubber casket-gasket I ordered from Denver Rubber Co. – I had to get a special ordered one for the Elway Front-Office Funeral I’ll be presiding over soon. The coffin is in the shape of a Dumpster with flames exploding from the top and even with all the intricate shapes on the crypt, the gasket fits perfectly and should (thankfully) keep any air from either escaping or entering. This is a win for us all in my mind and lord knows we all need it.
You all are invited to attend. Admission price is a sixer is strawberry sky or a game used jersey from any of our many recent draft busts –
The services will be held in the parking lot of the Colfax Ave Business Improvement Office. Drinks afterwards at Sancho’s Broken Arrow!
Hope to see you all there

Guys,
This is exactly what you get when you try to put non mobile quarterbacks in an offense that requires you move around a lot(ex Under center snaps, PA Passes etc) first you can’t run Play Action with a crap line because that means everyone has to hold their men longer and Garrett Bolles can show you from a fundamental standpoint how to draw a yellow flag. Second if anyone has an agility ladder in the broncos facility all the past QBs from 2016 on would probably fall on their face so why make them run more?
Also, with this Drew Lock stuff, maybe he doesn’t know his playbook? Maybe he doesn’t know how to audible or change plays? I’m writing this at 2:01 CST so maybe they’re gonna trade him before a team realizes he doesn’t talent? Idk I know in HS football if you didn’t know the plays you didn’t play and John Elway isn’t gonna come out and say it.
Thanks guys you’re great to listen to it gets me through my days

What’s up guys!
With everything that is going on, hearing talks about possible future draft picks always gets me fired up! If we have a high draft pick next year (which it looks like that may be the case) and Chase young is available you definitely take him with your first pick. This would give you the chance to switch up your defensive scheme to a 4-3 to better fit the play style of Bradley Chubb and Chase Young.
Create a package deal including Von Miller to trade back into the first round and get Isaiah Simmons from Clemson. He becomes your starting middle linebacker and you can convert Alexander Johnson to right outside linebacker. This is all in theory that Drew lock plays and is the future QB for the Broncos.
Thoughts? And as always, keep up the great content!
BehindEnemyLines
1) Elway is only willing to Chase Old
2) When I learned Monday about the Flacco out and no Lock situation, in a room surrounded by Patriots fans, I sat staring at my phone for a moment. A coworker looked over and said “Are you okay? You’re really red.”
No. Not okay. Are they resting Lock because they’re afraid with practice he might be good and they don’t want the double whammy of worse draft position and proof of the public opinion we’re better with him? It’s like they couldn’t play him before because it wasn’t enough of a win now move and they can’t play him now because it’s too much of a win now move!
BrianBoz
I hope Brandon Allen breaks his leg Sunday! …. apparently the only way to force the organization to start drew lock, I’m so sick of the organization, it makes me sick to my stomach, I used to scream at the tv and have so much passion watching these broncos games, now I’m emotionless and have no hope in the foreseeable future. Until Brittany takes over as owner, and holds people such as John accountable, I may stop watching the games all together.
Sincerely your dead-inside die-hard broncos fan, BrianBoz.
MissouriBronco
I don’t hope he breaks his leg necessarily, but the last part I concur with. I used to be excited for games…now I just want to wear a paper bag over my head.
PodunkBoom
What’s up, Gents. After rationalizing all this craziness, I’ve come to this conclusion. Either A. Lock has just blown their minds behind closed doors. Just destroyed every scenario they threw at him in VR sessions. They already know he is accurate with a cannon and mobile. So they have said “Drew is starting next season and we are drafting around him” and all this is to get the highest draft pick as possible. Or B. everyone that has to do with making a decision have lost their freaking minds and are just flinging poo on the wall during meetings. Otherwise the kid would be fast tracked to get on the field as soon as humanely possible.
Thoughts?
skookum24
Is it possible that Flacco threatened to hold out and pushed for his contract change behind closed doors this offseason? As has been noted before, it didn’t seem to make a lot of sense with how his original contract was structured for the Broncos to restructure. But if Flacco wanted a bit more security going forward, and the Broncos did not believe in their backup QB options(Lock), Flacco would have had alot of power to get what he wanted.
skookum24
Elway does seem to do a good job getting value for older players
4th for Thomas(released that year by the Texans)
5th for Talib(traded yesterday to Miami w/ a 5th)
3rd & 5th for Sanders(TBD)
Hardrocker
Someone must be blackmailing John Elway because there is no other logical reason for the decisions that have been made.
Iceman
Hey boys. Do you guys remember the odd remark John made that he is shaking trees to see if any QBs happen to fall out? 2 more questions, why did Johnny boy move back up in the draft to take Drew butt he won’t even let him occupy a roster spot? How could Klis even try to defend these insane decisions? It begs another question, is Elway going through the early stages of dementia? I feel for all 63 players currently under contract with the Broncs, losing truly is ” A world of suck! ” 🙁 GO ZOOMIES
“Throw Flacco into a cannon and shoot him to the sun!”, “This is the worst decision I’ve seen in the last three years, and that’s saying something!” Ahhhh, you guys sound like blue and orange blooded fans thru and thru.
In all seriousness, what is your best analysis on why the Broncos have waited on Lock? Not what WE want or think, but what the organization is thinking. Whether we agree with the organization or not, they have a plan. What do you legitimately think that plan is? What do you believe the organization thinks they are accomplishing by keeping to this plan with Lock?
Second question, why do you guys like Chase Young as a draft pick? Shouldn’t left tackle me first on a Broncos fan wishlist?
Have a delicious brew and chill gentlemen. Everything’s gonna be alright.
Rob
I grew up in Dallas during the Cowboys dynasty. When Moose Johnston caught the ball and trucked some defender, the crowd started saying, “Mooooooose,” and the announcers on TV would have to explain that they were saying “Moose” and not booing the team.
Can we get some Drew chants going in the stadium? Would Elway hear what the fans want to see?
“Dreeeeewwwwww!”
MissouriBronco
Not sure if John would bow to fans’ wishes lol. We wish!
MissouriBronco
Chris Harris is here to stay…at least for the season. I still think Chris walks at the end of this season, even though he has proven he’s still worth the money. Do you concur? I know the Broncos have a somewhat tight budget, but we do not know what we will get with compensatory picks.
Count Bridgeula
Hold your horses, Wait a (insert exploitive here) minute! You are telling me Lock could be active this week? – one of our most win-able games? And instead we are just trotting out some dude we picked up in the dog food aisle at king supers ? Did young drew accidentally drink beer at a scotch lunch with Elway and Ellis or does the carbon monoxide detector at headquarters simply need a new battery? I will say it again, this Horse Pucky is bananas.
Wait, wait, maybe Elway is playing Kurtz in Heart of Darkness, “…his soul was mad. Being alone in the wilderness, it had looked within itself and, by heavens I tell you, it had gone mad.“The horror!”
At this point it would be hard to argue otherwise, right?

Hey guys
I keep trying to get a grasp on what the broncos are thinking with Lock, and the only thing that makes sense to me is that they are already pretty convinced he is the future for the team, why else would they be trying to get him started on the best possible situation (the chargers at home), if they knew he wasn’t the future they could care less if he goes out and gets killed by the Vikings and bills. By starting Allen the next 3 games they can assure the team looses and gets in a better draft position to draft as many O-linemen as needed. The only thing I can’t understand no matter how hard I try is why o why they aren’t letting him practice!!!!!!!!
I can only hope that next year with lock at qb, getting better o linemen and improving on the very good defense Vic is building, we can be a more exiting team to watch.
MissouriBronco
I think he’s still going to have to play behind a subpar line anyways, no matter who we get in the draft. But interesting take.

Who was it that said Broncos would go 2-14 and we all laughed? Man that was a good joke. Much love To the tres caballeros at DNVR

Hello gents,
I’ve returned from my self-imposed comment exile, though it may be brief for my own sanity, to say thanks for all of the amazing coverage. I’ve really been enjoying Mase being part of the team as well, and I always appreciate how responsive y’all are on Twitter.
Ok…as someone who actually wanted Elway to take Lock at this past draft, I’ve been very excited to see what the kid has. In everyone’s opinion, will 4 game starts be enough to truly evaluate whether or not this young man can lead the Broncos for the next 15 years? What you guys have been saying about trust being gone is so true, at least for me. I have no confidence in this franchise moving forward to really accomplish much of anything. Establishing their qb of the future and forgoing this awful strategy of signing has-beens and grizzled veterans will be a great start. Finally, do you guys think these weird development choices surrounding Lock have more to do with doubting he has what it takes, or a strange amount of caution with him because those on the inside are already certain he has what it takes and simply want him to have a clear path to success?
Thanks guys!
T-Dubz
Can someone please explain to me this fear that the coaching staff has with Phillip lindsay? They’re terrified that giving him more than 15 carries a game would be too much for him but there’s not really anything to back that up. I certainly don’t want to run Phil into the ground but he’s so explosive and it’s hard not to feel like they’re limiting him. Your thoughts? Thanks for the great coverage as always.

Bad news Gents,
Our good friend Count Flaccula is no longer! I came upon his severed head just this evening. It had been stuffed with old John Elway football cards and and there seemed to be a shard of the Lombardi Trophy from SB 50 lanced deep into one of the eye holes. I was taken aback for a second until I focused, again, on my own dilemma.
As Zac reported on twitter I do have binders at home and these little tomes seem to be the whole issue betwixt me and the team. They insist on my using an IPad so they can track my every move. I, however, being born around the time of the Charles the Great (That’s Charlemagne to you RK and Zac) am more used to and vastly more effective when using a standard quill and earthy slice of parchment. I did update my style in the 1980s and begin using a trapper keeper ( as Zac so flippantly Called Binders) but it seems that Scangypants wants me to sync up with this idiotic VR machine.
Broncos fans, this feels like hell, I know – it’s loathsome for me as well but as I once said ( and these words were stolen for a modern fang flick) “…what if there is no hell, or they don’t want us there? Ever think of that?”

World of Suck
I agree it’s horrific how Lock is being mismanaged. The concerning thing for me is what it says about Elway and Co. Big picture though, I don’t think it makes a huge difference for Lock’s development. I think 3 games even gives us everything we need to see. Danny Dimes, Kyler Murray, Gardner Minshew… for all three rookie QBs, the evaluation sort of stabilized by week 3 or so. I’m content with three games, but I do prefer more.
Switching gears real quick… The draft pod had an interesting conversation and I want your take too. Where does Lock place relative to this year’s draft class? For me, he’s the #3 guy behind Tua and Burrow.
Mike Trout
I’ve tried so hard to stay positive this year. Every week I’ve done my best to point out the little victories but this has gotten exhausting. I’m sure I’m not the only one in the comments who is wishing we have an actual owner right now. I’m sure I’m not the only one pulling out their hair that Ryan Finley is making a start before Lock. I unfortunately have lost all trust in our front office. RK mentioned this last week and I agree I have significantly lowered my expectations for John and rest of the Front office staff. We have some dark days ahead of us and I would not be shocked if Drew Lock never gets to be the bright light to guide us through them. I wouldn’t be shocked if he doesn’t even see the practice field this year.

Well, Isn’t this an absolute shit show. In the immortal words of Seth from Superbad – “Fuck me right?”
Does anyone recall a very subtle message from Vic in the Friday press conference following the Chiefs game? When asked about Noah Fants drops, he said, and I don’t quote exactly…
“He is a young guy who is still getting better, we need to coach better too. But playing more games is the best way to get better. *pause*…..The best way to improve as a young player is to play. *stared blankly at the camera*”
I thought this was the sign of Drew to come, our illusive Mountain Drew….
Do you believe there is a misalignment between Vic and John on this?

COPIED FROM MONDAY MORNING POD:
Mase’s “what-ifs” have peaked my interest, and I want to ask you all about a what-if for the future! Correct me if I’m wrong, but a few pods ago, I heard Mase talk about an extreme scenario–one of the Bowlens moving the team out of Denver! While I don’t know anything about that, us Missourians have had some experience with NFL relocation. I have a couple things here (split them up how you want):
Part 1: I talked earlier about how Mile High was pretty red against the Chiefs this season. I know fans want to send a message to the brass by not showing up, but would that ever reach to an extent where the team would have an incentive to relocate to boost attendance? I want to believe that it wouldn’t, but I can see it happening.
Part 2: When the Rams moved from St. Louis, local media showed a divide among residents. Fans who were more loyal to the city despised the team and picked another team or just removed themselves from the NFL entirely. Fans who were more loyal to the team said they’d still support them as the Los Angeles Rams. Where do you three fall on this question? With me, I fall in the first group. I only stop being a Broncos fan if they betray the city of Denver. Does this make me a conditional fan?
Sorry for the long comment. Damn good pod, boys.

Ryan, per your column from the other day, I don’t think it matters who the Broncos have at qb. As long as they run an offense that is not qb friendly, they will continue to struggle, and they will bust qb after qb. I just don’t understand, with all the evidence accross the NFL and all levels of college football, running a spread offense with lots of motion, and rpos seems like a no brainer. Not for Elway and crew though. He won a Super Bowl in this offense then they won another in 2015, that was carried by an all time great defense, with a horrible offense. That was the best offense they have had in the last 4 years. It makes me think of a quote Lincoln Riley gave, something like ‘Why would you run an offense that isn’t qb friendly?” I am convinced if Lock plays in this offense he will look like crap, and they will be forced to move on. I’m getting some Haskins/Washington vibes here, like is Drew not understanding the plays?? Flacco seems to have known the plays, and he still sucked. Its a bad system for 2019!

The literal only explanation for Elway’s decision not to let Lock practice. Cut to Elway’s office a few days ago:
[There’s a knock on the door. Elway, seated behind a large, oak desk, looks up from his Blackberry.]
Elway: Come in.
[The door bursts open. In strides a hideously ugly man that’s somehow reminiscent of Paxton Lynch. He flashes a smile. Elway recoils.]
Ugly guy: Hiya John! It’s me, The World of Suck, incarnate!
Elway: What in the literal f—
World of Suck: Yep, I’m the avatar of all your pain and bad decisions! Just a few short weeks ago I didn’t exist but then that Manny guy uttered my True Name and BANG, I popped into existence and here I am! Also, you and I are best friends!
Elway: Wait, no were not, I hate the world of suck, I don’t want to be there—
World of Suck: No one WANTS to be here, I get that. But hey, you’re here and I like you and those fantastic Broncos of yours. I think we could have fun together.
Elway: I don’t want to have fun
World of Suck: [Speaking as he slowly advances towards Elway’s beautiful desk.] So I’m going to tell you how you we can stay friends and hang out forever.
Elway: I just said—
World of Suck: [Reaches across the desk and grabs Elway by the collar, pulling him forward so their faces are inches apart.] I don’t care what you think, buddy. You’re gonna do what your friend The World of Suck says, or I’ll tweet that your era-adjusted stats are worse than Andy Dalton’s.
Elway: [Wiping flecks of spit from his now-horrified face.] Wait that can’t be true, I was way better than—
World of Suck: Doesn’t matter if it’s true, Johnny. How many people do you know that fact-check things like era-adjusted statistics?
Elway: Jesus
World of Suck: I’m glad we understand each other.
[The World of Suck lets go of Elway’s collar. Elway flops down in his chair.]
World of Suck: Listen close, pal. I like you, and I think we can be best buds for a long time. [The World of Suck leans forward and begins whispering.] So let’s talk about this young, highly drafted quarterback of yours. This potential savior. Are you going to let him practice this week?
Elway: Uh, y- yes, obvious—
World of Suck: [Yelling.] NO!! YOU’RE NOT! HE DOESN’T SET FOOT ON THAT FIELD!
Elway: Wow, ok, I guess I… I can do that. But what do I tell everyone about why he’s not practicing? He’s totally healthy, and Joe just had his head twisted off…
World of Suck: Just say that he needs more time. Plebs love platitudes.
Elway: But that literally doesn’t mean anything
World of Suck: SAY IT.
Elway: K.
World of Suck: [Smiling, peeking his head around the door as he leaves.] Can’t wait to hang out more. We’re gonna be friends forever.

[Cut to Elway speaking to the media]

Hi Gents,
Here’s how I’m looking at the Lock situation to stay sane….
Perhaps Elway and Scangs are the savvy toy collectors leaving the new toy in the box long enough so it reaches its maximum value while us fans are the giddy child who can’t wait to rip open the packaging before we even get home.
Gotta be some kind of plan to evaluate him this year. I can’t believe Elway would operate in a way to save his own image to avoid sending Lock out there and having him play terribly this year. Worst thing he can do is hold on Lock, have him be the starter through camp to then realize it’s another lost year if Lock doesn’t perform.

Boys! Picture this, I wake up to a rare sunny morning in Dublin. I roll over in my hotel bed check my phone. It says 3:26 am – it never adjusted to the Ireland time zone. I have a list of notifications to scroll through from fantasy football alerts, text messages, emails, but wait hold on here… this one says Joe Flacco is hurt? Could miss 5-6 weeks? My hand involuntarily shoots into the air. I see the full picture coming together. The Lock Era is coming, and when should it begin? Week 11, right in my home state of Minnesota. It will be a challenging first opponent, sure, but I will be at the game. I’ve been picturing this scenario since week 2. I want to see Lock’s inaugural start in person!

I am going to go against my username here and say In Ellis We Rust. I believe our woes will continue as long as he is in power. He doesn’t seem to get along with multiple people in the organization and those who threaten his power (I.E. removing Beth). Even if Brittany becomes owner Ellis will continue to stay on saying he needs to guide her for years to come. Someone needs to be able to sit down with Elway and ask him what his plans are and keep him accountable which Ellis doesn’t seem to do. The sisters should band together and overthrow him with Brittany having majority of the org and Beth having the smaller portion, but the one with more experience. Either way I think we need to fire Vance Joseph.
chilangobronco
Hey guys
It is so hard to predict what Elway is thinking and what will he do, he must be a heck of a poker player! He is well covered in poop and he is so desperate trying to take it off that he is spreading it everywhere and making the mess worse.
Here are some nightmare thoughts, that I think might happen with Elway doing the things he`s done so far:
1. He will bing Flacco back to play the last 2 games of the season as he will be our QB next season as well
2. He just doesn`t like Drew Lock and he will not play and with the 3rd overall pick he will draft his crush Justin Herbert
3. He will go offseason for another veteran mediocre QB (fill in the blank: Dalton, Mariota, Fitzpatrick , etc…)
Please touch wood on the above to happen.
P.S. Mase did you visit Galaxy`s Edge when you went to Orlando? if so how was it?

BRONCOS-SQUARED
Hey gang.
Two of my favorite things were mentioned on the pod recently. One of them was obvious, the Denver Broncos, and the other was references to Tommy Boy. That is one of my all-time favorite comedies, and now I am trying to picture scenes and how they relate to our beloved (slightly hated) franchise.
The best one that I can come up with is a scene where Chris Farley shreds apart a biscuit. In our current Drew Lock situation, Chris Farley is John Elway and Drew Lock is the “precious pet” biscuit. I hope Mace can provide some more imagery because it encapsulates the situation so well. (I would add a link, but I just discovered that my school blocked YouTube)
Anyway, a quick question: How much power do you think Scangs will have in selecting a possible quarterback in the draft? I don’t know whether to trust him or not at this point.
Thanks guys!
Holy@water
Maybe the diner scene. Instead of Tommy pointing to his face and saying “it doesn’t hurt so much here and here..but right here” while David Spade tries to ignore the giant mark on Tommy’s face.
Replace Tommy with all of broncos country telling John it doesn’t so much hurt here or here “pointing to the past and current situation” but right here “pointing at the future”. While Elway being David Spade just tries to ignore the embarrassment.
Holy@water
I’m excited.
For a couple weeks as a massage therapist I’ve been asking my clients who are Broncos fans “if Flacco goes down and Allen has to go in….without thinking…what’s your first reaction?” Everybody said “excited”. I couldn’t disagree…maybe it’s a case where it’s “the devil you don’t know” but regardless if I see even 3 or 4 less, 3and outs and see him move in the pocket…at least there’s some possibilities there. Allen led his not so great Razorbacks to bowl wins over some weak versions of Texas the K-State so I’m also hoping to see some fire and leadership …even if you have to fake it till you make it. Yes Joe..you change who you are for jobs all the time…retail people really aren’t as excited to help you as you think.
On a sad note…the Bengals benched Andy Dalton who has been a good dude for them….. on his birthday….because they have no wins…and sources said “AND WANT TO SEE WHAT THEY HAVE IN FINLEY BECAUSE A HIGH DRAFT PICK IS LIKEKY”….. Even the Bengals get it. The Bengals.

Hey guys!!
It’s been a while cuz I’ve been busy with a couple of things. One of which was becoming the offensive coordinator of my high school football team!! It’s really freaking fun. I run a shanahan type offense with a LOT of pa and power runs. So far, we are 4-2. My question today is, if we see average in drew lock, and we are presented with chase young and Joe burrow, who do we take? Thank you guys for helping me study with your mellifluous voices.

One more thing. Cali gang stay strong!!! If anyone ever needs a place just let me know. These fires are crazy.

So, I’ve got a couple scenarios for you to consider while we wait on Lock’s return.
Scenario-A
Lock comes in as QB1 in week 13 and starts until the end of the season. His statline over 5 games is 900 yds, 10 TDs, 9 INTs, 61%, 15 carries, 70 yds, 1 TD, 2-3 record but he flashes potential in a week-17, comeback victory where he throws 3 TDs in the second half and bests Derek Carr in the last game duel. What do you do? Load up on free agent and draft talent for offense or draft a high-ceiling QB prospect in the draft while continuing to look for patches on defense and the o-line? To me, the one game is a signal that he’s the guy.
Scenario-B
Lock enters year 2 as the clear starter and, over the season has 3900 yds, 25 TDs, 17 INTs, 64% and a 7-9 record but just isn’t doing what he needs to do to win the games on his own. He’s doing lots of checkdown throws and receivers are helping him, the D is helping him a bit, but he just doesn’t seem to get it in year one. Do you try out a new offensive scheme in hopes of adjusting to Lock or do you hold off yet another year to find a new prospect who can potentially run the offense you have better? There is also the chance you could let the stats speak for themselves and hope he adjusts to the scheme you have at the moment. I would rather see the Broncos draft a new QB who has more potential in the scheme the Broncos would have had for 2 years at that point.
Also, you guys were talking about how JANO is like a cat but he’s stronger (can’t remember when this conversation happened) but you guys didn’t get it. That’s a Lynx, guys. It’s a Lynx.
Pay Dak
Zac and Ryan gave me a lot of grief for being one of the only vocal subscribers to care about VR during the VJ/Keenum era. Thanks for having my back, Mase.

Nothing of real value to comment, just wanted to say that I’m a Promo Code RK kind of guy.
That's what She said
A quick one, as there are a mountain of comments here. I’m happy that CHJ is still a Bronco but I surprised to see no additional trades were made yesterday.
As far as Lock goes, I think “the plan” has always been give him only a few starts, IF ANY, for 2019, regardless of the situation. The front office seems illogically stubborn, and that’s that. FML, but not really. Go DNVR!
Hey Guys,
Over the past few years I’ve tried and tried again to give John Elway the benefit of the doubt, but the handling of this Drew Lock situation is the last straw for me.
There is absolutely NO reason to be holding Drew out of practice and the fact that we’re hearing Coach Fangio and Lock himself say that he’s good to go physically and Elway saying otherwise is highly concerning. I’ve heard a lot of the notion that if Lock doesn’t see the field this year then we MUST take a QB in Round 1, but I’m beginning to wonder if the opposite is true. Could it be that Elway has made up his mind that they’re NOT going QB in Round 1 and that he’s better off investing that draft capital to give Lock a fair look next year with an improved supporting cast? Still not a good excuse for not practicing but maybe it could rationalize the lack of urgency.
Thanks for all the great coverage!

RK I loved the comparison of the broncos to politics, on that note how do we impeach Elway?

Also im not worried about Fant at all! I think when we look back at him in 2-3 years I think we will say we got great value from him
