Some info came out a little bit ago that the previous coaching staff was very aware of what was being said about them in the media (Pat Shurmur in particular) and it was a big factor in the Broncos rout of the Cowboys. I’m glad he took it personally but where was that every other week?

It also was said that Shurmur was loathed both INSIDE the building and out. I never knew Shurmur as a difficult guy based on his prior stops but he did strike me as even more curmudgeonly and standoffish than even Vic. With him gone do you guys have insight on the internal sentiment around Shurmur adn his tenure here?

Minshew. Get him and draft Pickett. I believe that’s a good cost option no matter who coach is.

Hearing the odds that Dan Quinn is the Broncos next coach is 28 to 3

Hi guys,
So the smart money is on Dan Quinn as HC….
In my opinion, we could hire a cloned mix of Reeves, Kubiak, Shanahan, Belichick and Lombardi and still be horrible unless we land Rodgers or Wilson, the thought of Jimmy G or any of the others spoken about does not inspire me.

Still, I’d trade regular season excellence with postseason heartbreak for the joyless regular seasons we’ve been experiencing.

I know the mentality for what I am about to propose is abnormal for the way the NFL works.

That being said why don’t the Broncos take a QB with their first and second round picks? It is something you don’t see because you want to show confidence in your pick and make them “the guy”… but in a draft class like this where there are no front runners why not double your chances of lucking into a guy? I mean that’s most of what drafting a QB is anyways, right?

Just some debatable thought. It’s been over a year since I’ve been subscribed so it feels good to be back! Gonna be an awesome off-season with this whole community!

1. Say Mac Jones and Justin fields were in this draft class, based off there last college season, how would they rank with the other QBs in this draft? It just seems to me it’s unlikely to go QB at 9 when we passed in both these guys last year. What are your thoughts.

2. Broncos were able to keep the chiefs to a total of 36 points on offence this year in 2 games (ignoring xp’s on defensive Tds). Why don’t other teams use the same system denver used to slow down that offence? Is it lack of talent? Stubbornness? Or is it just way easier said than done?

How do we feel about prospective staffs for the 3 finalists according to Rappoport and how much should they impact the final decision?

Hackett: Highly unlikely Getsy will come with him and the insider chatter is that it would likely be his old boys from Jacksonville and Buffalo. Doug Marrone? No thanks, I’m out.

Quinn: He’s rumored to have a superstar staff lined up, it seems like McDaniel/Getsy would be the favourites on offense with Morris/Bradley/Durde on the defensive side.

Kevin O’ Connell: This is the wild card for me, would he be looking at LA/WAS assistants? Jay Gruden? Rob Ryan? Zac Robinson?

P.S.: Inject “McDaniel putting Quinn Meinrz in motion to run block defenders into oblivion for Javonte” into my veins please.

Excited about the top three candidates the Broncos have chosen no offense to Gannon. I would be happy with any of the three candidates honestly.

From a media strategy point of you why do you think the Broncos announced that they were so impressed with him? Maybe looking at him for defensive coordinator?

After watch all 4 games this weekend I’ve came to a conclusion on our head coach search.

It doesn’t matter who our head coach is without getting a Super-Man player (like Mahomes,Allen,Burrow) to make a real run in the AFC.

Without that nothing matters. So I don’t even care who they pick for head coach at this point.

God bless Elway for 2015. But Goddamned Elway for passing on Allen when deep down he wanted to…soul crushing
