Mile High Till I Die
My boys, as the weeks go on I believe in coach Hackett more and I believe in Russ less. The more time goes on I think we bought into a cult of personality with Russ and we brought in a prima donna into our locker room. Somebody who’s way too self obsessed, has a non-human level of manufactured personality and clearly wants to dictate the offense to feed his ego and celebrity. Hackett, for all his coaching miscues this far, has been nothing but genuine. He was a breath of fresh air, he related to his players and he related to us, and maybe it’s his fault that he brought in a staff with so little experience but I feel that with so much genuine passion, intelligence and ability to connect with players that his issues are fixable, and Russell Wilson’s aren’t. I think I’m finally starting to understand why players and coaches in Seattle had so much beef with Russ. He’s the lead singer that got too famous and ruined his band. I believe Hackett has the ability to be a top tier head coach, but we can buy out his contract and we can’t buy out Russ. Hackett has shit to work out, but Russ may have sunk his ship before he ever truly had a chance

I agree

Hey boys! I’m a big fan of All Things QB with Tim Jenkins on YouTube, and this week’s breakdown of Russ’ play was damning. Play after play, the most constant thing he said was how wide open KJ Hamlet was, on multiple plays. The guys could’ve had probably for touchdowns last night, but Russ didn’t look his way.
Tim’s film breakdown really confined me that there is tons of potential in Hacket’s scheme and that Russ is the primary problem. Guys are wide open all over the place and he scrambles out of safe pockets and is too quick to his checkdown.
I’m very unnerved by Russ’s play and hope he can figure it out before 7 years is up… Yikes.

Did the Monforts buy the Broncos? At least the Stanley Cup Champs start on Wednesday and the Broncos can’t lose the next couple of Sundays.

Broncos Country. Quit the panic. Everything will be OK! 12 games to go and as far as I have ever known, zero comments on social media has made a change to what an organization will do with a coach or QB.
The last play of said game. Hamler ran his own route. He did not run what was called. He has been doing this for some time. Go check the tape. No play design has multiple receivers in the same area. Food for thought from someone who draws these things up.
Lastly. I purchased my first ever Broncos jersey. # 3 Wilson in white. I’ve not lost faith. Real Bronco fans step up or step out.

Well Russ’ celebrity shine wore off quick and we are left with an A-list wannabe that hasn’t earned his teammate’s respect. Looks like the former Seahawks players knew what they were talking about, Kyle Brandt called it right when he said Russ tries to act like a celebrity at events and turns people off, and Hamler’s behavior post-game no matter how unprofessional is seeming like a reflection of the greater locker room vibe.
The worst part is Seattle fleeced us by pulling away a king’s ransom. We can’t even hope to tank this year because it only helps Seattle, this is true purgatory. If we want to get rid of Russ we either cut him and destroy our cap or do what Houston did and give pics away to get someone to buy the big contract, and mortgage more of the future.
Bottom line is Paton did us wrong and the new regime has no loyalty to him, we are on the cusp of watching a total tear down and rebuild and we have not an ounce of capital to rebuild with.
On a positive note I just snagged my all in package for London and I’m gonna say it right now, somebody is walking the plank on the booze cruise!
I’m A Boliever
Man, Broncos Country is toxic af. And Broncos Country Facebook is the worst. People over there have absolutely zero clue what they’re talking about.
I get the frustration over offensive woes, but can we not love this team through thick and thin? People are talking about walking away from the team or watching other stuff on Sundays now. Win or lose, I love watching the Broncos every time I have the opportunity. I believe in Hackett and I believe in Russ. Matt Ryan and A-A-Ron both had rough first years in a Hackett-style offense, then came back with a vengeance in year 2. So it may take a season before the cooking really begins, but I want to be ride or die with the team through it all.
Here’s to another epic 24 point come-from-behind victory next Monday night against the fanless Bolts!

Hey guys! After rewatching the game I feel a lot better. I got to say Hackett should be low on the blame game for this loss. He called a decent game and designed multiple players open. Russ either missed the throw or missed the read. The O-Line also had a very bad game. My one critique of Hackett is that there were a lot of long developing plays and the way the O line was playing didn’t give Russ enough time. Broncos Country RELAX even if the offense is average with this defense it can still be a playoff team.

My boys,
I think George Paton has to sit Russ down and say “i know you want to play another 10 years, and run less, be a pocket passer, but Hackett is the coach and his playbook is the one we want” If that means Russ only lasts 4 then so be it, looks like he’s almost lost the receivers, soon he’ll be publicly criticising Hacketts play calling, something has to happen. Cheers
Am I the only one that thinks it’s wild that Nathaniel Hackett is getting panned over the whole “I got the go to go for it..” situation?
There seems to be this implication that he delegated his decision making duty and Jerry Rosburg was in charge of a critical end of game situation, whereas it just seems to me like Hackett was doing the due diligence of asking the analytics guy “Is what I’m about to do stupid?” before he goes for it on 4th down to try to win the game. Is that not the whole point of hiring the dude? I get that Hackett hasn’t exactly gotten off to a smooth start but I’ve never seen people so eager for a guy to fail, especially in the national discourse.

We hired the wrong head coach….again! And it sucks because Hackett is a really likable dude but this is ridiculous. First time head coach and new QB or not, it should NEVER look this bad. Maybe a few series a game look off or a game management miscue once or twice, but this shit!?! Two mother fucking touchdowns TOTAL in THREE HOME GAMES!!! Are you kidding me. It’s time for everyone to accept that Hackett was brought here strictly because of his relationship with Rodgers…….period. Rodgers was our plan A and plan B but Paton did an awesome job and had a great plan C in Russ. Problem is he hired a guy who is not a head coach. Hackett is just one of those guys who is a great coach but not a HEAD COACH. Norv Turner comes to mind. Oh yeah and these dudes named Vic Vangio and Vance Joseph also. Maybe you’ve heard of them. I’m so tired of this shit. So tired.
PigTosser66
To add to last comment – I know Russ deserves his fair share of blame. He’s played mostly like crap. But Hackett needed to come in here and be The Boss. This team went way too far in the opposite direction of how Seattle treated Russ. They missed the sweet spot which is somewhere in the middle and now Hackett is going to have a hard time changing shit.

Hey guys, long time no comment! I was away welcoming my awesome son, HENRY, to the world. Named him after the new guy (on accident, or was it?!) The Association is hosting a Corn Hole Tournament Saturday November 19th. Very affordable buy in, no limits to teams as of yet. We would love to have y’all participate. My take on this crazy journey over this season is, work the RPO game, start with quick passes, and run the ball in the Red Zone. We beat ourselves up too much on offense, now we are without Williams. There’s slim hope, but a win on the 17th will help! If we do not change a thing, we may be 2-6 at the bye! The Jets look better than we forecasted at this point. Either way go Broncos and Support RivALZ and the Association DNVR Fam!!
