I like the Shaw hire, I think that hiring talent evaluators can be a great way for owners to spend money improving the team without cap implications. I always thought Elway was pretty good at getting quality defense in, while ironically being pretty terrible at getting a quality QB. Are former players better at evaluating their opposing position than the position they played? If so, what position would be best positioned to evaluate QB? Is it ILB? Todd?
