Heard something about interest in Darron Lee at linebacker for a fifth round pick on Orange and Blue 760. Has anyone heard anything with regards to this, would it be a worth while endeavor and give more flexibility for draft picks.

I’m buying. After this free agency period, I’m finally buying. Seems Vic has the same impact on attracting free agent defenders as Manning had attracting free agents from both sides. That’s exciting to me because it says that Vic has as strong a reputation as anyone in coaching and that Elway made a good hire. And I’m definitely in on inside ‘backer. Is it really a toss up between the Devons? Seems as if a guy 6’1″ is a better bet for coverage of bigger TEs than the 5’11” Devon. Do you have a preference among the Devons?
Sometimes I forget if I’m listening to a food critic/water tasting podcast or a Broncos pod. Haha. Just kidding. Have you mentioned Blake’s Lottaburger? They are a chain mostly in New Mexico. Their green chili burger is a must have and I think better than Whataburger.

I feel better with the signing of Callahan. Callahan reminds me a lot of Chris Harris and it helps to still have Chris on the team to give him more tips to become Chris Harris 2.0.
I still have doubts on offense. I will have to see it for my own eyes if Flacco really has a chip on his shoulder or if that is all talk.
Will Elway sign a veteran backup QB? If there is one, which fits best. We aren’t taking any of the first rounders this year.

I would give Elway a B+. He did really well with what he was given and but still needs to solidify some backup roles

After his case being dropped, Shawn Oakman has said the he wants to enter the NFL. Do you see him being drafted or picked up?

Hey guys, been a subscriber for a while and a listener even longer. Congrats on the 3-peat… OK there has been one glaring omission from your local food reviews. At Stuft Burger Bar in RK’s favorite city I have consumed a burger so epic it defies belief. Luckily Zac has personally witnessed me devour this piece of culinary perfection. Let me preface it by saying that unlike Outback Steakhouse, Stuft Burgers actually has no rules and on many a fateful afternoons I have devoured A burger that was in fact just right. This burger features onion straws, blue cheese, strawberry jam, garlic aioli, bacon, and fried pickles with 2 delicate glazed donuts standing in for buns (sorry RK it isn’t paleo). While initially the half-cocked order of an inebriated version of myself it was a better call than when Sean Payton onside kicked in the Super Bowl. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. The flavor combination was unbelievable.
For those with more traditional taste buds Colorado’s busiest independent pizzeria according to the “Pizza Today Hot 100 list” is Fort Collins’ own Krazy Karls whose signature pie the North of the Border features cream cheese, green chilis, and pepperoni. Having lived in little Italy in the South Bronx and been part of a ski team that travelled across Europe I can safely say Krazy Karls blows any pizza I’ve ever had out of the water. Breweries like New Belgium, Odells, Funwerks, and Purpose also make for solid pregames to any meal.
I have plenty more complex Broncos questions to discuss but as I’ve used up my word count discussing food I’ll simply ask if either of you have any Broncos memories specifically linked to food. Personally, I will never forget my dad bringing a kindergarten me blue and orange Hostess Sno Balls prior to Super Bowl 32.

As a CSU alum, Krazy Karls was the best. It was a staple of living in FoCo.

Just info, not needed to be read on the podcast:
Brazilian Steakhouse came from the churrascaria style cooking predominately in South America (Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay).
Draft hypothetical. If Devin White is off the board at 10; would you prefer the Broncos to trade back or draft Devin Bush at 10? If we trade back, Bush COULD still be available, however, what other positions to you see targeted in this scenario?

I love all of the investment into the defense, but I’m still cautious of the offensive talent. Assuming Sanders can return to prior form, he and Lindsay will be the only proven and reliable skill position players. That worries me. I hope Sutton and Hamilton pan out, but last year didn’t show too much from them. Also, any word on Jake Butt’s recovery?
P.S. Ryan, I have never heard those fast food nicknames.

Now that FA is pretty much wrapped up I have been thinking a lot about the draft. Long shot but I would love to see Denver trade back get the second Devin (hoping he wont continue to rise up boards) thinking that the trade back yields a second round pick I would want to grab Bradbury and an offensive weapon probably a WR but there might be one of the big three TE still on the board. My dark horse for pick 10 is TE you guys have touched on how Flacco loves that position if Denver really thinks he is the guy why not go all in!

What exactly happened to cause Sua Cravens to fall out of favor with the organization? The organization and fans seemed so optimistic about him less than a year ago, and no it seems the broncos are ready to forget about him. What happened? Can he and will he turn it around?

We got Callahan at a great price and now have a top tier secondary once again. Getting Zach Kerr is huge as well. Elway is giving Fangio the best chance to win, and I think that is because Fangio has a vision. if you look at the last two years (VJ years) and who we signed in free agency, it seemed like we lacked vision and VJ was just ok with whatever John gave him. Now Fangio is knocking on John’s door telling him ” i want this guy to be successful” and he presents that request with confidence.
Also, I got my HOF game and Enshrinement tickets on Friday! I am beyond pumped to cheer on Champ and Pat. Is anyone else from the BSN family going? I would love to run a poll or something to figure that out. Zac and RK im sure you are going so it would be cool to get up with the BSN family.

Gents,
Food: As a displaced CO native, I feel you have to mention Larkburger as a great local chain. I visit the LB in Edwards every time I go to Vail, and there is one in Colorado Springs near my parents house. The Truffle Burger is dynamite, the truffle parmesan fries are perfect, and they have an adobo chicken sandwich with thin sliced, flash fried jalapeño’s that is to die for.
Football: It appears Denver’s Free Agency Strategy was to address critical gaps and enable a BPA strategy (“autograft” as DMAC call it) – who knows what impact player will slip to 41, but there will probably be one. Who will be the best player available at 10? History says Elway will go defense, especially if it is the “strength of the draft”

Hey guys,
Regarding the international holidays being “americanized” and used as an excuse for partying, I cannot think of a better example than 5 de Mayo, this is a holiday we must certainly do not celebrate in Mexico, at least on the regular bases. Don´t get me wrong, I think it is a great idea, there are no lame excuses for having iternational beers and celebrate the ways different cultures party. It is genius!
Broncoswise, I think we are feeling more confident than last year, we have a better team and better coaching staff, the only corps I think is worse than last year are WR, I would adress this on the second round. Thoughts?
Still much love ….

Broncos country,
I understand the hype and need for one of the Devin’s but defense is already the strength of this team. The TE and WR rooms have promise but I remember them falling apart offensively after Sanders went down. Why do you guys feel there is not more discussion about grabbing Flacco another play-maker on offense high in the draft? A lot of mock drafts have Metcalf and Hockenson going top 10. Do you guys like swinging on offensive fire power at that spot?
Parris Campbell at 41 would be a steel IMO as we have been trying to sure up our return game for years + Lindsey and Campbell’s speed on the field would be a nightmare to match up with.
Which offensive play-makers in the draft are on your wish lists?
Keep up the good work fellas.
Cheers!
