Golf Guy
First time long time
Golf take: before transferring to U of Nevada for golf I played in Arizona and I agree with Ryan that it is enjoyable to play golf in the 110*F heat. Would rather play in that then 40-50 degrees any day. Also your Tiger take is ???
Broncos now…
What do you guys think would be the two most different first two round pick combinations? Also which one of your two would you prefer?
Example:
1. White or Bush
2. (BPA) D-Line
1. Lock or Haskins
2. (BPA) Cornerback
One would fit everything about win now, the other would change up the roster dramatically this year or next.
Thanks
MrFreeze
Being at pick 10 might be my least favorite spot the Broncos have been in a long time. There just doesn’t seem to be much value there this year. Every mock draft is different but they all seem to agree that the top talent guys, or “can’t miss” guys are going to be gone even with 3 QBs taken before 10. I wish there was a scenario like last year where the possibility of trading back for 2 first rounders was in play. The Packers have 2 first rounders but would they really give up 2 first rounders to move up 2 spots? Probably not. The only real prospect is the Raiders, and let’s be honest, that’s never happening. I just cant get excited about this years draft right now. Maybe the day of the draft some guys get taken higher than predicted and someone falls that excites me. The Broncos are just in that weird spot this year where I want them to trade back and get some value.
I make ramen noodles 3 different ways. If i want soupy ramen I leave the water in after cooking and add the flavor packet. If i just want the noodles I drain the water and add the packet after. The third way I learned from a friend who spent a lot of time behind bars. In jail they make a “burrito” with ramen noodles, doritos and a slice of cheese. If you haven’t ever had one I implore you to google it and try it out. It’s my go-to hangover food.
Can we talk about how Max Kellerman was blowing up the set of First Take with very audible farts today and even tried to cover one up with an awkward cough?
Minnesota Paul
Hey dudes,
While I love the idea of Russ coming to Denver, my true thoughts and concerns are around him landing in Oakland. They have 3 first round picks this year to use in trading. Is this enough to move Russ to Oakland or at least a good start? I think Russell Wilson and Antonio Brown would make a terrifying offense.
I have another question that has been eating at me for a while. With at least two tight ends projected to go in the first round, how can we ensure the Patriots don’t have a chance to draft a top tier tight end? My thought is the Broncos should draft as many top TEs as they can. This way we can send them to our own injured reserve rather than watch them break records on our defense.
Sorry my questions are mostly regarding teams other than the Broncos. The BSN boys have answered all of my questions about the number 10 pick. Because of your great coverage, I have a reason to be excited about every potential scenario next Thursday. Can’t wait to see it unfold!

I make ramen two different ways. The quick lazy easy way is microwave then drain water and add packet, add some garlic salt and some slap ya mama seasoning for a little kick
Fancier. I fried two eggs over hard cook 3 strips of bacon chop both up finely then boil the water add noodles, drain the water add packet, egg bacon and a tblspoon of soy sauce and some creole seasoning.
If you can get Russ, you do whatever it takes but now I’m deathly afraid of him in Oakland thanks Minnesota Paul lol
Who is one player each of you thought would be a star that turned out to be a bust or non factor. Personally I was pounding the table for D’onta foreman. Who actually ended the year with 7 carries -1 yards in 2018. But to be fair what did Carlos henderson or Demarcus walker do(Denver’s picks before and after foreman)
Thanks keep up the great work.

I bet you guys that I have witnessed the weirdest way to eat ramen. Recently, I took a trip to the small island of Pohnpei (Pon•pay) and they eat their instant ramen noodles raw with a kool-aid packet sprinkled on top. They swear that it is good, but i wasn’t willing to try it.
Anyway, on to football. With the sad, but expected, news that Russell Wilson has signed with the Seahawks, it got me thinking. Ryan said that he would have offered anything/anyone on the Broncos for Wilson. What would you offer for the first pick in order to draft Kyler Murray? Would you still give up Von, Chris, multiple firsts and multiple seconds? Would you offer more? Is there anything you would not be willing to give up? I know that this is a pipe dream, but I am just curious what you guys think.
Finally, I have a hot take that I think you guys are going to hate. I think that Will Grier will end up being the second best QB taken out of this draft (behind Kyler obviously). I would rather have the combo of Devin White and Will Grier than Dwayne Hadkins and Jerry Tillery. Will Grier seems to have the Baker Mayfield clutch gene, I would be excited if we got him in this draft.
Hey Guys –
If a team in the 20s offers their 1st for CHJ… does John say no?
I’m not one who loves the idea of Chris leaving but drafting his replacement in the 20s and avoiding that contract sounds right up Elway’s alley.
Now switching gears, what do you think will be the biggest surprise of next week’s first round?
Cheers!

Shame about wilson. Though I don’t think he was ever leaving to be honest. Nor do I think Elway would have gone all out for him, anyway… who is a less real person, Carmen Policy or Don Barclay? Both entirely made up IMO.

Ryan you were referring to the Illuminati and the conspiracy theories on the airport and tunnels are semi-interesting, partly scary but mostly crazy.
I too haven’t had Ramen since my freshman year (2010), but when I did I started to boil the water, put in the plastic noodles and then before they softened up, put the seasoning on them so that it stirs in with the noodles.
As far as football goes, I have to disagree with the two of you about Wilson and selling the farm for him. We’ve seen too many times that once you pay a QB big time money with practically none left for other playmakers, they fail to lead to the super bowl or even make deep playoff pushes. With Wilson signing the $140m/4 year deal, that puts them in salary cap hell for the next 4 years and I doubt they go far. Tom Brady (FYTB) for example has given up over $60m in his career to allow the Patriots to bring in/extend playmakers.
Joe Flacco, Big Ben, Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers and likely Russell Wilson are all prime examples of giving away TOO much for a QB. I think the key is, like with the rest of football, balance.

Hey Ryan & Zac,
A world tour for you two would be fun during next year’s offseason. Let me know if you guys come to Japan!
I don’t eat instant ramen much, but here in Japan they have a museum dedicated to ramen noodles. Towards the end of the tour they have a world map with unique packets of ramen from all over the world places over the country it comes from.
I used to live in Denver a few years back and remember a place in LoHi called “Uncle” that made the some of the only ramen in Colorado that hold up to traditional Japanese ramen standards. Worth a try.
Thanks for being so awesome you two!

What do you think the reaction would have been if Haskins wore a #7 Broncos Jersy to his interview, but the back says Haskins instead of Elway?

RK,
I agree with you in Augusta being the top of a bucket list. I grew up in Monterey, CA. ( Right next to Pebble Beach where the US Open will be played this year) I got the opportunity to play Cypress Point twice in high school. They were the best days of high school for me. I currently live in AZ. If you ever need a player to round up your foursome, don’t hesitate to ask.
Food take this week, I had the cinnamon life cereal. It good yet not filling. I have to refill my bowl to become satisfied.
Broncos question- How is Phillip Lindsey’s wrist? Any setbacks? Had to ask for all the Lindsey Lunatics.

Hey guys so because anything can happen in the nfl I was wondering what the top 10 might look like if the cardinals are happy with Rosen and pass on kyler and pick someone else and the raiders pass because they like Carr. Trades are allowed. And by the way I don’t believe qbs drop. It’s said each year that some will drop and they almost never do. I think all 3 will be gone by pick 8
TomMercury
Do you guys think that Haskins really wants to be a Bronco over being on another team? Or was this ensuring that he is a top 10 pick for more money. If I understand right, the higher you are drafted, the more money you get. Do you guys think draft eligible players really have strong desires to be on certain teams or is it more about draft position, money and fame for the individual?
Mike Trout
Zac you and I are on the same page about Flacco, maybe its just a Zach thing. FLACCO IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SMOKE SCREEN WHILE ALSO GETTING SOME LONG OVERDUE REVENGE, ok maybe not the revenge part but, definitely a smoke screen. Let’s go get our franchise QB. I just recently discussed with another listener who he would rather have Lock or Haskins and we both agreed on Lock. I’d be excited with either but the way you guys described Lock’s presentation to the media at the senior bowl has left a significant impression. This has to be one of my favorite offseasons ever, as always keep up the amazing work.

Guys! best way to eat Top Ramen. Bring water to boil on stove, add 2 packs of noodles. Stir until they are done enough for you. Using the same water you boiled them in, dump just enough water out so that the noodles are barely, and i mean barely above the water line. Then add your flavor packets. Perfection. I have had two very big posts on FB about this exact thing. I have a friend who boils the noodles, drains all the water. Fries eggs, and veggies, adds the noodles and a little chicken broth..she swears by this. Also have a friend who puts ketchup on ramen…. so there is that.
RK.. I have a very very bad feeling Denver is going to draft Jones. I feel Haskins will be right there, staring into our eyes.. like a scene out of a movie.. all stary eyed and glimmering.. and Elway is going to Draft Daniel freakin Jones…
Ill cry..
