Hey guys, new subscriber here! What got me to subscribe to this podcast was not just the Broncos info, but you describing what it’s like to go to events such as the Senior Bowl or the combine. It really made me feel like I was there in person.
I’m planning to do journalism for the Air Force after I graduate college, and I hope it’s as fun as it seems to be for you guys!
On to Broncos stuff..
I really think the Broncos should trade down in this draft and try to get an additional 1st round pick next year. There are enough blue chip corner prospects that one should be available.
We get our Quarterback next year by trading up, and the Broncos can win now with Flacco and a defensive prospect to help the defense. Win-win ?

My man! I’ve never agreed with any comment more than I agree with this one.

Hey guys, first time commenter here based out of Slower Lower Delaware. To prove we aren’t so slow down this way I have a theory here that may or may not make a ton of sense. Apparent from John Elway’s ptsd in drafting a Quarterback in round one, I feel that a huge part of why Joe Flacco was brought in was to more accurately evaluate his new head coach and new offensive coordinator. Thinking back to Vance Joseph and all the excuses made for why we played like trash while under his leadership(aka trash QB play), I just feel that if Joe Flacco was once coached into being a Super bowl MVP then this is John Elway’s way of seeing what his new coaching staff is truly made of. Thoughts??!

The Penn Quarter Sports Tavern in DC is the best Broncos bar I’ve been to on the East Coast. The turnout and atmosphere is incredible. I walked two miles in two feet of snow to be there for the 2015 AFC championship game and took some Aussies with me for Super Bowl 50 to get their first taste of American Football. 11/10
I’ll be in Denver this May for a few days. I’ve only just flown in for a game before and never really had time to do anything. What are the things I HAVE to do to do Denver right – the BK and Zac way?
Consider having Andre on the pod sometime and ask about Kyler under center. I wasn’t aware of the Calimari (KylerMurray) memes until the combine, but they sure combined the two things this pod loves.
Stay warm in Indy. If you see Andrew Luck, bribe him with food. Maybe we could get him under center with the right style of Mile High Mafia “persuasion.”

Hey guys, long time listener but brand new subscriber. This pod is a mianstay and it is the perfect cure for my garbage job.
I have no burger recommendations other than a burger I make myself using a siracha mayo slaw, brioche bun, and crispy wonton strips on top.
Ok this episode though dashed any hope I had for the Broncos. Flacco ain’t it chief, and we ain’t beating the Chiefs in the next 10 years. Elway may as well start packing up his office because no QB in the first round this year will be the nail in his GM coffin. We have a top 10 pick this year, screw Fangio’s “we need help everywhere.” Yeah we do, but you rarely get shot at a franchise QB and Elway is about to waste his SECOND TOP TEN PICK IN TWO YEARS! Do you think this is it? Is Elway done if we pass on a QB at 10 AND miss the playoffs AGAIN? I feel like his time is running out. #FireElway #EmbraceTheFuture

If you go to Panchero’s I suggest getting your tortilla “well done” unless you like fighting your burrito for every bite.
I doubt you will be, but if you’re ever in the Quad Cities (Davenport, Iowa; Rock Island, Moline and East Moline, Illinois) you have to try our brand of pizza. The original is Harris Pizza but former employees have branched out and opened dozens of “knockoff” joints that make the same style with a few tweaks.
I’m so glad you guys finally brought up Chad Kelly again because I’ve been waiting for months to hear Ryan’s insider information about who was supposedly going to pick him up before next season.
Aussie Punter
G’day Guys, are there any similarities in the circumstances that resulted in Payton Manning leaving the Colts and coming to Denver and the circumstances that have resulted in Joe Flacco leaving the Ravens and coming to Denver. Does Elway see this as Manning 2.0.
NMbroncofan
Alright so quick theory. Just finished reading Ryan’s piece (…plug…) about Elway and Fangio not seeing eye to eye on quarterbacks and linebackers. Is it possible/plausible that Elway and Fangio sat down before the combine and agreed to put out all this seemingly contradicting jargon as a smoke screen? When actually, behind the scenes, they’re in agreement on who they’re drafting at 10? Maybe Im just reaching for hope that theyre ACTUALLY gonna try and get Kyler. I can hope right?? Please?
NMbroncofan
Oh also!! What about that news that DT was arrested for vehicular assault!? Pretty unfortunate. I know you guys are busy with the combine but have you heard any further details?
Patient Bronco Fan
Ryan I have a plan I think you’ll be on board. Now that Kyler has been measured, we can fit him for his gold jacket, induct him into the Hall of Fame, thus freeing him up to go and cure cancer, solve world peace, end global warming, while walking on water in his free time. I know we will miss seeing him revolutionize the NFL but we won’t have to play against him either. Teasing over. Sorry RK. On a serious note I’m LOVING all the coverage! This is my favorite time of the NFL season the endless possibility of moves, it’s sort of like Christmas wondering what you’re going to get. Please Elway no lumps of coal. My question; at pick 10 are all the O-line a reach? Which O-line picks are a fit for us? Thanks for all the coverage guys. My subscription is real recent so i bought one for my brother, don’t tell him I’m keeping the t-shirt when we win.

Hey guys, first thing is first, I have to get in on this burger discussion. Burgers are my favorite food, so when you combine them with my favorite team, what used to be my favorite pod has now become my FAVORITE pod! I think the list of restaurants is a great idea and I wanted to get my two cents in. Every time I go to a new city, I try to find the best burgers they have to offer. So far, my top two favorite burgers are both in Boston. My favorite is at a place called Mr. Bartley’s Gourmet Burgers. Their meat is so tender, juicy, and flavorful…and the toppings are just out of this world. My second favorite burgers are at Boston Burger Company and they are definitely the most beautiful burgers I have ever seen (WARNING: do not look at their instagram page or you might find yourself buying a one-way ticket to Boston). Their toppings are also great, but the meat is just not quite as good as Mr. Bartley’s.
Now for the football talk. Thank you for all the coverage from the combine, it has been amazing to hear. What do you think is the absolute worst nightmare scenario for Denver (besides picking Daniel Jones at 10, of course)? If we focus on defense in this draft, as this is seeming more likely by the day, what do you think Denver’s ceiling is with a Fangio-led defense and a Scangarello offense with Flacco, minimal weapons, and little-to-no improvement on the O-line? Finally, you two should do a pod with Andre where each one of you puts yourself in John Elway’s shoes and walk us through every step of the offseason (FA, draft, trades) and what you would do to improve the team. I would be interested to see how your opinions differ from Andre’s.
Once again, thanks for the awesome content and sorry for the long comment!
Loooooca
Hey guys
first of all I hate you all with your variety in fast food choices… this small town guy here in Germany has to drive at least 20km (I don’t know how many miles that is) to get to the nearest McDonald’s. Btw I enjoy the food talk regardless.
Talking football…
Do you guys think Elway does not see the possibilities a young QB provides for the whole franchise? Finding your QB in the Draft gives you the opportunity to spend big around him for 5 years, plus you get 4 first round picks to improve your squad in the following years. There’s your super bowl window.
I would Draft one every year until I finally hit.
To finish this off, my recommendation is a small Kebab shop in Essen(which ironically means food in German) called Ada, where you can find the best Doner ever!!! (I believe nobody listening to this might ever get there but i don’t care.
As always keep it up!!!
Minnesota Paul
Hey guys, I saw a piece of news yesterday noting a some guys likely to be traded and thought a couple of them might be good fits for the Broncos needs. Trae Waynes and Nelson Agholor are set to make $9 million this upcoming year, and rumor is their respective teams are looking to make a deal. Would you be interested in in either of them?
Broncoseastcoast58
Hey guys
Finally got on and got my subscription to BSN Denver. As a bronco fan in the hard of patriot country the last few years have been miserable , what are your thoughts on the broncos talking to Brett rypien ?
Queen City Bronco
Well, as rude as it is to spoil the surprise, I’m about 80% Broncos are drafting a CB in the 1st this year. It’s the one spot where need, GM, and Head Coach all meet. Elway loves corners, and Fangio has talked at length about needing one. I’d be a bit disappointed, as no CB is in my top ten, so it’s a slight reach, but Byron Murphy is my top guy and he’d be plug and play.
BleedOrangeBlue
I still don’t feel confident in our WR group. Sutton didn’t blossom into the star I expected and I didn’t see anything from the other WR. I’m worried the Emmanuel won’t be the same dynamic player. Any WR Elway should look at with veteran experience, besides the two john’s (Brown, Ross)
Gotta say, if we don’t go QB in the first I’ll be disappointed.
However, trying to make lemonade out of lemons, Byron Murphy or Devin White would be immediate impact players in the defense. As a Duck, it’s hard for me to admit, but Murphy is one of the best corners I’ve seen in college. He’s stellar and I agree with you Ryan, he really does have a Chris Harris feel to the way he plays. Not sure how I’ll get past the fact that he went to the garbage school up north, but as a die hard Bronco fan, I’m sure I’ll manage. White would be a freak for Fangio in this defense. That would be fun too.
Which of those two would you guys prefer?
And always, ALWAYS, HuckTheFuskies. Go Ducks.

If they are not going to pick a QB and they all believe Flacco is the man, which I have doubts. What do they have to do, to go all in with free agents and draft picks for this team to be able to go toe to toe with the Chiefs. They will need more speed on the outside, will have to land a big time TE along with ILB. Will they need to bring players in familiar with Fangio system ?

Taco Cabana – for fast casual Mexican.
Ninfa’s – more “nicer” Mexican.
The Pit Room- for the best damn brisket you’ve ever had in your life. Guaranteed!
For football comments, I think Elway is going to take a throw of the dice on Brett Rypien in a mid round pick. Heard they met with him at the combine yesterday.
PastorRhett
I’d like to purpose that we refer to our esteemed new OC as “Rello”.
Question: Hearing that Denver has talked with Bryce Love, what are the odds that Denver uses any capital at the RB position? Beyond that, why would we?
For the food spread sheet:
In Boston got to Boston Burger Co.

Hey guys no football related comment but a life comment. When you go to 5 guys RK have your burger wrapped in lettuce I’m not on the keto diet but I prefer the taste of the burger in the lettuce wraps and only 1 time was it too messy to pick up and eat. Keep up the good work guys I have to say this is my favorite broncos pod you guys put all of the other ones to shame.

Yo. I heard what sausage sanga Harry saying and i concur! Come to Australia. It’s great. My food recommendation is my local burger spot called The Feedbag in maroubra (eastern suburbs of Sydney) it’s the best. Best chips going round, when you come here make sure you get the Lord Beefington; beef, pickles, mustard, Smokey mayo, cheese, onion. So good
Also, being on a diet is actually killing me while i listen to this foodie/broncos podcast
Footy stuff.. I’ve been watching Ravens offence and Bears defense from the 2018/19 season. I think that Elway is attempting to recreate the Super Bowl 50 run with that number 1 D. He got Fangio who knows how to win with a hot defense. I’m sure they’re not trading places anywhere in the draft but taking the best player on the defensive side of the ball, and going fairly heavy on defense in draft and free agency.
Do you guys think this is the plan? It worked before, why not again?
hakk.sack
Woah. What is the feasibility of this scenario?
Elway trades back a couple spots for a swap of first rounds, a second and late round or whatever, then trades back again for a swap of firsts and another second round. Gets to his first round pick and again swaps first rounds for ANOTHER second. All of a sudden you’ve got like 3-4 second round picks and a late first round pick.
There’s a bunch of holes in our team, as per Elway and Fangio, and this defensive class is deep, you’re not getting your A+ player but getting a couple A- players to fill several different holes
Or is that stupid?
Jake the plumber
Just read a story about our bare handed mountain lion fighter. Turns out it was a 3 to 4 month old baby and weighed 30 lbs. Thats probably why he didn’t have any real injuries
Nevermind. Watching the combine, Devin White just ran an unofficial 4.42. THATS the guy we need. Wow.
TomMercury
Will we have to trade up to get Devin White?

Who does Drew Lock look like in his official combine photo?

Sorry guys, I just refuse to get off the QB train. Here’s a scenario for you. Cardinals commit to Murray at first overall and to trade Rosen. It sounds like the price for him is set no lower than a 2nd round pick. Let’s say that Fangio gets his guy and they nab White at 10 (which actually sounds unlikely after the combine due to him being gone already) or they go OL at 1, what if they offer a third this year and a 2nd/3rd next year to ensure they get Rosen. I know they could have taken Rosen last year, but what if Rosen at 5th overall was simply too rich for him, a different pick value and trade for him changes the outlook of his worth somewhat and it would make so much sense for Elway to go get him to be Scangy’s guy. Thoughts?

Onto the Broncos now, I watched what I could of the combine and while I really want a QB this draft, Devin White blew all my expectations away. He’s going to be special. My question is, outside of Kyler Murray, who were your guys favorite prospects, either from a performance perspective, or ones you got to talk to.
As always you guys are the best.

Hey loving the content as always I tell you what, you all got me through the bus rides when I was in China a year ago and yall still give me entertainment before and after teaching. So big thanks to all of you at BSN.
Now is Devin White the “Truth” or what? At his size the way he can run is going to impact the team right away. Now my question is I saw the Broncos taking Trayvon Mullen. What is more impactfull to a team, a great MLB or a CB? I personally think a corner make more of an impact because the one on one matchups but a MLB can be truly all over the field.
Thanks as always for your thoughts.
