Hey guys!! Just subscribed this morning, been a freeloader for about 2 months now but finally took the plunge. Love listening daily to your hour long (plus) segments, best podcast I’ve listened to yet. Broncos fan since my dad made me watch football with him on Sundays in order to hang out with him, which we did in Thornton despite being born in Las Vegas (which we unfortunately moved back to).
The first jersey I ever got was a Champion Rod Smith jersey, not at all the on-the-field one but loved it nonetheless, and wore it all the time.
Now to my questions…out at OTAs and now the minicamp, how much attention and coaching is being given to the QBs, especially Lock and Rypien? I’m just curious to hear how the coaches are teaching the young lads, and how hands on they are with them.
Question 2…since I haven’t been listening since the podcast’s inception, I was curious if that was Zak’s voice on the theme song? Sounds an awful lot like him to me.
Keep up the great work, definitely going to keep up on the forums and such. Thanks guys!

Hey guys, a couple QB centric questions:
1) Curious to know more about TC McCartney. He seems pretty young, what is his background and how is he viewed around the org/NFL
2) When the OTAs are over and the players depart. Will Lock still be working with Scangs or will he have to “officially” distance himself. Will he go back to workout with a private QB coach?

Hey, guys. Just wanted to thank you and BSN for the awesome subscription hookup for veterans. I’ve been listening for several months and have loved every podcast. You’re a daily must throughout the week!
A word about how I came to Broncos Country. I grew up sporadically going between Denver and Minneapolis back in the days when you saw little more than local NFL coverage (the 70s). By the time I became interested in football the only thing I could watch was the Vikings and they just felt wrong to me. Even though I was born in Minneapolis, as a kid my heart was in Denver. I needed the team from Denver. Honestly early on, most of what I knew of the Broncos was through trading cards and because for an old game called electric football (little plastic players move on a vibrating metal field). By the time I actually got to see a game on TV, Denver had become really good with the Orange Crush defense. The first game I ever saw them play was a regular season game against Oakland. That was a wrap. It was over. I don’t even remember if they won. It didn’t even matter.
The beauty in all of this was I learned to hate the Raiders and love the Broncos all in a single game.
Thanks for all the excellent work you do!

After his pass rush summit, do you think Von goes into the O-line room to tell the lineman about all the tendencies of the rushers involved to help them out?
What’s with all the jersey hate? It confuses me as to why you can’t get someone’s jersey if this is their last year on the team, or why people are shunned for having a name that isn’t currently on the team? Why do you have to have a name that’ll FOR SURE be there for the next decade? To me if it’s a Broncos jersey it’s supporting the broncos and the name is a window into the past. Are people really gonna hate on someone wearing a DT jersey and say they’re now supporting the patriots now? Or what? To me jersey names don’t go out of style ever, they only get better like fine winester….

I have to be honest, I have been a free-loader for quite some time now! I hope you can forgive me, and I look forward to all the Blue and Orange content available to me now! Your podcast is hands down the best Broncos coverage on the market!
Quick question, I live in Arkansas (hence my love for Atwater) and I am SURROUNDED by Chiefs Fans! I have a lot of hate for them, and look for any reason to knock them down a peg, at least I am honest! Do you think they’re overlooking the Chris Jones situation? Am I the only one that thinks there is no way he plays for 1 million dollars given the switch to a 4-3, the stats he put up last year, and the amount of money paid to Frank Clark? The response I get about him skipping Voluntary workouts, is because they are not mandatory. Curious about your thoughts on this!

Forgot the pronunciation guide
It’s “Steve” like Ryan’s co-hosts last name, “Atwater” like @ and water, the stuff you drink and tastes best in Arkansas, and “HOF” short for why the hell isn’t Steve Atwater in the dang hall of fame?!?!

Zach from the sounds of it you should try out the lore podcast by Aaron mahnke it really is like listening to a movie you create in your head they do a great job painting a picture fore you and the stories are all very interesting. That was actually my first pod but I fell off a bit after BSN because broncos news is so much easier to listen to for me. Any more playing time for parks or cravens lately? Chances both make the team?

Seeing as though we are all doing our Fan origin stories, here goes mine. I live in Brisbane, Australia and have supported the Rugby League team from this city, the Broncos since I was a child. So when I played the first Madden NFL game who was my team? The Broncos of course, and the rest is history.
I have two Jersey’s, both gifts from my wife a Tebow in white and a Manning in orange. I also have a full size helmet.
Thanks to you guys waxing poetical on this pod about how great Denver is, I have now dropped the Canucks (Spent two years in Whistler B.C.) the Celtics, and the White Sox. I’m all about the Av’s, Nuggets, and Rockies.
Thanks Guys, you have changed my life!

Hi guys,
Not much of a question, just wanted to say thanks to Ryan and a lesser extent Zac, for not getting super annoyed with my Instagram DM’s, and for always replying to my random stuff I send.
Go BSN!

Hey guys, just subscribed so first time commenting! Glad to be apart of the BSN FAM!
Thanks Ryan for helping me on Twitter with the PL30 shirt size. That being said you guys have any plans on restocking the PL30 homegrown T-shirt’s?
I have a lot of questions for you guys, but I want to keep this comment short. So I’ll start with one question. Last year I decided that every year I’d travel for a bronco game or two every year, eventually visiting every stadium(last year was Levi’s stadium). I’m not sure if you guys travel for the games, if you have I was hoping to get a recommendation on what should be priority number 1?(I heard GB would be a good game)
Also worth noting I haven’t been to Mile High…
Thanks again guys.

Hopefully my post isnt to long… Ill try to be quick.. Yall need to get to practice!!!!
Does it seem to you guys that Flacco to Sutton is developing into a nice pairing? RK mentioned in his post practice article the deep TD pass and building more chemistry, but is it just a practice thing or do you see somethin buildin as a go to type relationship with them.
Two, thousand yard rushers? With an offense focused on run first and what i imagine is goin to be very PA oriented, do you think its at all a possibility that Denver could see two different thousand rushers (or even somewhat close like 1000 for Phil and 800 for Royce.) I think thats only happened like 6 or 7 times? (Read that somewhere recently)
Does Brandon hafta pay for that windshield?
Much love to both yall (Zac i read your Bradley Chubb love fest as well)
Sorry for the book!

Hey guys, just to add to the current discussion topics
1) I became a football and Broncos fan in the 2011 season, I was already flirting with supporting the Broncos but Tebow to Thomas against Pittsburg sealed the deal. I then had the Manning years to learn the game and cement my fandom. I was initially attracted to the Broncos because of my favourite Simpsons episode though, when Hank Scorpio buys Homer the Denver Broncos.
2) My first Jerseys were off Ebay, no. 7 and no. 30, my TD jersey has seen better days though. One is Puma, which I was a bit confused by so was good to get an explanation on that the previous episode. My first Modern jersey was DT 88, purchased in Denver 2014, I went in to get a different DT jersey, Danny Trevathan, but they didn’t have any, I think the shop assist was surprised a Brit knew about players beyond the skill positions. I have since purchased a Miller and Manning jersey as we have limited options in the UK. Hoping to get Lindsey this year, although Fant is on my radar as a potential late season purchase.
4. Fruit – Peaches, Strawberries and Raspberries are my top 3. Top pie is cherry, Rhubarb is best in a crumble. Ice Cream is strong, but the best topping is Custard, particularly with a crumble. Do you have custard in America?
5. I am with Zac on audiobooks, I have little time to actually read so alternate between podcasts, audiobooks and music on my commute. I mostly listen to Sci-Fi books but have just finished Slow Getting Up, which was an interesting look into the life of ‘another guy’ in the NFL. I would recommend. I would be interested to know a bit about Nate Jackson as I never got to see him play. Also, any other Broncos books people can recommend?
Keep up the good work!

Promise not to have multiple posts going forward, I just have a lot of built up takes that have piled up while freeloading for OVER A YEAR! (PS, I Still have trust issues after your Keemun takes from last off-season)!
Straws have no holes, they’re simply rolled up rectangles
How to eat ramen…like a man;
Step 1: snort the seasoning
Step 2: eat the raw block of ramen
Step 3: drink the boiling water
Water should be drank at room temp, unless performing step 3 of eating ramen…like a man
eating blood…yuck!
First Jersey: Steve Atwater of course!
Just had to get that off my chest!

One for each of you, and one for both:
Zac, G and T’s are great, but I have a hard time trusting most gins. It’s hard to find one that doesn’t have the kerosene-like taste that the usual suspects have. Do you have a preference? I am partial to Spirit Hound from Lyons, just up the road. Smells and tastes like a entire pine tree distilled into a bottle.
Ryan, I will make the argument for “shirseys”. As much as I love the broncos, I’m a rockies/baseball fan first. One of my goals in life is to watch a game at every major league park. As a token, I get a shirt of a player who made an impact on my experience. IE watching Dallas Keuchel pitch a 4 hit shut out against the White Sox while Minute Maid Park flooded, having Shin Soo Choo’s family sit behind us at a rangers game, or enjoying an angels game with a friend from college (went with Mike trout for a HR and an RBI double). Point being, I get a shirt jersey because actual jerseys cost a pretty penny when your traveling. That and I would rue the day I have to buy a Yankee, red Sox, or Giants jersey. Am I just being too cheap for not wanting to buy a full jersey of a team that’s not my own, or am I drawing a line where it counts?
Speaking of shirts, a shout-out to Lyndsey Sauer for help with my first bsn merch order. A mix up led me to buying another shirt that I had ho hummed about. She was extremely helpful with sorting everything out. Thank you!
As for football, how has Emmanuel Sanders looked? He has posted several videos of his progress, usually sprinting his tail off in one direction. Eventually, he needs to pull a Zoolander and turn left. Is he able to make full routes, or is it still just wind sprints at this point?

Ok I’m breaking a rule here by posting back to back on pods, I like to post about once every 3 months, but since my original comment directed the jersey talk toward “sherseys” here’s my take on them. I think “sherseys” for Rockies, Broncos, or Nuggets are stupid. There’s a clear advantage toward having the actual uniform as opposed to a shersey. The only pro for a shersey would be when you don’t want to wear something as “nice” or expensive as a jersey but still want to rep. As The oracle RK mentioned in his infinite wisdom, just get a cool shirt like any of the BSN merch for example instead. However, I think it’s different for Hockey, firstly the “sweaters” are kind of thick, and a bit expensive, so there is more appeal for an Avalanche shersey, also the Avalanche jerseys have a ton of “glitter” that gets everywhere. So in mid to late 2000s when I didn’t know of any merchandise that wasn’t official when it came to the Avalanche, I bought the sherseys because I didn’t want to wear/ruin a sweater in normal daily life but still wanted to “rep”. Lastly, a burgundy shirt can be worn with a lot of colors, a bright orange or purple “shersey” for Broncos or Rockies usually just looks weird with any color or pant style.
Would I buy a shersey in 2019? zero percent chance for any sport that isn’t hockey.

Hey guys just wanted to chime in and give my full support for shirtseys and to let zac know he’s not alone in loving audio books.

What’s up guys? Just wanted to pitch in on the recent topics of discussion.
1. How I became a broncos fan: I was born just weeks before super bowl 33 and my dad (also a broncos fan) was holding me while watching the game. According to stories I was thrown when Elway completed the deep pass to Smith. I’m convinced that my dads love for the Broncos was released in that moment and I was the vessel that absorbed it before my mom caught me and saved me.
2. I got my first broncos jersey last year when my family came to Denver for the preseason game against the bears. My dad and I got matching Chubb jerseys because it was the first time either of us had been to Mile High.
3. You guys consistently put out great content. Keep up the good work.

Hey guys. Great podcast, I did not know that about the Icehouse, however the barman did buy me a beer. Just want to ask what do you say for my first jersey being Aston, was thinking of Fant or Risner.
Also Zack, I like listening to audio books, have just finished Nate Jackson’s (Slow getting up). Was an interesting listen on his injuries, and his life with the Broncos.
Keep up the good work. Go Broncos #DB4L

My DOOOOODS!
Will you do a pre training camp 53 man prediction? I think that would be cool to go through position groups during the Broncos break in June.
PS, i went back home this weekend to NC and I had my favorite fast food spot “CookOut”. I promised you guys a couple of months back that I would take a picture of the menu when I get to the drive-thru to show you what steal the “cookout tray” combo. Check out the top red banner and all the options you have when you order.
