I’m looking at Michael Pinckney this year in the 3rd or 4th if I am elway. White from LSU is incredible, but Pinckney seems draftable in the later rounds and fits the mold you guys described.

Ok guys. I’ve been waiting for all of the coaching assignments to be handed out before revisiting my “crossroads” post before the Fangio hire. After seeing all of the decisions be made I have to say that I’m terrified by how optimistic I feel. I was so ready to say that this would be another rough coaching cycle but instead I’m starting to suscpect that this was a straight up coup. Wow. Elway went full Ash Ketchum and caught them all and at this point the future looks like it’s in the best of hands. Now, being slightly cynical and somewhat of a pessimist here is my fear, because of course I have to find something to be afraid of even in the best of situations. Assume all of these coaches and coordinators are home runs, what’s the longest they will all be coaching for the Broncos? 2 seasons, 3 seasons? I understand promotions mean you found talent but isn’t there any loyalty amongst a staff where we don’t need to worry about coaching turnover? Bonus note: I think Scangy will do such wonders for Lock if Elway drafts him!

Mel Kiper has Denver picking Deandre Baker with the 10th overall pick. Though I’m not sure if I alway take Mel Kiper seriously all the time necessarily haha anyways I do I love him as a player but all signs to me have been pointing to Elway and Co. wanting to go with a young QB in this years draft will all the reports I’ve been hearing, correct me if I’m wrong but I just wanted to hear your thoughts if you’ve had a chance to see his mock draft. Thanks guys as always.

Keeping to the Mel Kiper mock, I see he has Jets taking Quinnen Williams at #3 and they have no 2nd rd pick. Any reason why the Broncos would not give #10, 2020 1st Rd Pick, 2019 2nd Rd Pick to get the franchise QB here? I’m assuming it’s Haskins. I actually think you need to throw in another 2020 2nd round or 2021 1st Rd to further sweeten the deal only because you have 2 other teams ahead of Denver that are willing to make the same deal. But I’d bet the Jets trade out of that pick right? I don’t see Cardinals and 49ers giving up those top two guys since they can be true franchise changers, but #3? It’s all over the place.

So to simplify the question: what will it take (not what is fair or a good deal for us) for Denver to get to #3 and beat out the Raiders, Giants, and Jaguars?

Sorry – one more from the mock…is Drew Lock going to fall out of the first round and Denver has a chance to maybe move up in the 2nd and get him? You guys keep saying Elway loves him, but it doesn’t mean necessarily that he loves him in the first round, right?

Hey guys.
Here is an idea to be in the top 3 for the draft without selling the farm.
For this to work we need to get Antonio Brown for a second round maybe a second and a third.
Dont get rid of ES ( we will need Him)
Then at the draft trade AB and our 10 round pick to the 49 ers for their pick. I think it would be apealling for them
Then get your qb and escencially you only used a 2nd and a 3rd.
Could this be done? Can’t wait to listen to your opinions
The off-season is fun !

Hey BSN Family,
I spent the whole weekend trying to convince my family to root for the Pats but they wanted KC to win. I threw out all the things you guys said on the pod to show them why the Pats had to win. The only thing they could reply back was how much they hate Brady. I was riding high in the first half but at the end of the game my heart was raise. Me vs. my family. I was the only one how is happy with the outcome. Now it is time to root for the Rams and hand the Pats the most Super Bowl loses ever. (RK’s tweet)

Can’t wait for the pod. Go Rams and Go Broncos.

Hey guys, fantastic pod as usual.

I just had a question. I vaguely recall Ryan saying something (months ago) about how the first possesion in a half for a team has the best chance to score a touchdown. I may very well be mis-remembering this, but if that is the case – does it translate to overtime too? I obviously feel it is quite unfair to allow a team to win off a touchdown. Frankly, it’s hard enough to score one so why not give the other team a shot? Especially if the first team to get the ball has the best chance to score.

Thanks guys, GO RAMS!!!!

Rough year for Broncos country but let’s all bask in the beautiful fact that Brady and Belicheck are 0-3 in Denver in the playoffs, but 4-1 in road playoff games in every other city. Go Broncos!

Question for you guys: how do you think the NFL responds to the atrocious non-call in the Rams-Saints game? If coaches can call in plays directly to the QB’s ear, then why is the league office not calling into the refs ears when necessary?

Hey BSN Family!

I was wondering about the middle linebacking position and thought about free agency. There is a name that came up in my mind, it’s not C.J. Mosley. He will get resigned.

But it is Kwon Alexander, he got an ACL tear this season but from what I’ve seen and heard he’s having a great recovery. Doesn’t he fit Fangios kind of athletic mlb?

What do you guys think or that idea?

Thanks,
Timmy

Been awhile since I commented to here’s a pronunciation guide just in case. (Car-ch) I’m getting hyped about this draft, especially the quarterbacks. I am so excited to see a new young quarterback in Denver, I really hope that’s the direction we go in the first round. I can see situations where all three of the top quarterbacks (Haskins, Lock, and Murray) find success in the nfl. I just hope it’s with the Broncos. My question is after hiring a successful quarterbacks coach as our OC is it more plausible to draft a guy like Lock and develop him more? I don’t think Denver has really had the right staff to develop a quarterback before now, but with Scangarello and Co. in the building I think that might change. Lock seems to have gotten better every year and at least from his interview at the senior bowl it seems like he’s very coachable, plus my mouth is watering at the idea of him throwing deep balls to Sutton for years to come. Interested to hear your take on the matter. Looking forward to some killer senior bowl coverage, you guys are the best!

Much love to the BSN family,
Kartch
