I want yall to know how much you mean to me. Last night after catching my finger in the tater peeler, and having to yank it out of the semi peeled chunk of meat, then losing one of my contacts behind my eye, i sat down.. turned on a random old pod just to settle down and reset my night.

Anyway, can we just laugh at the Raiders for a minute.

Also i think AB needs some serious help, i think he is a living candidate for a CTE study. He is either the biggest diva in NFL history or he is having some brain problems much like Seau and Javon Belcher. I am honestly concerned for AB as much as i do not like the guy. Something is up, and i don’t believe its just AB flipping a switch. He has taken some shots to the head, and its adding up.

I am laughing at the drama/ chaos AB is causing the Raiders. He is surpassing T.O. in the diva WR category. I truly believe only John Gruden wanted AB and Mike Mayock didn’t. However, Gruden has the power so he gets what/ who he wants.

Hey I wanted to check in since it has been a while. First of all I wanted to say I like the different shake of things Mase brings to the Pod. I was worried about the dynamic at first but I like the spin he brings. I had the pleasure of being at the first annual BSN Draft as well as having the Privilege to be on as a guest. I know that Zach and Ryan are some stand out guys and look forward to meeting you one of these days as well Mase.

I keep wanting Bolles to work out, do you know if Munchek does anything different with the line then coaches in the past? Such as Zach Azani using the chairs or other more interesting training methods. Things that can help specifically Bolles and Risner to develop?

Next is I wanted to say that I have not commented because I am now coaching football and will be an offensive coordinator. It is really a cool experience looking at the game from a new perspective. I probably won’t be commenting a lot but, I do want to say that I have introduced my brother to the BSN podcast life and it gives us something else to talk about together.

As always appreciate the content from all of you and looking forward to a win Monday Night vs the Raiders and Following that with my first win Tuesday.

Long time, first time. I’m a BSN follower from the beginning but it wasn’t until this year that… ya got me. My free Homegrown shirt arrived minutes before the first preseason game and it’s heavily featured in the daily rotation.

Pumped for Mase to join the family and was curious on similarities he sees in Plummer/Cutler and Flacco/Lock. Not 1:1 for sure but I think it’s closer than we may assume. With the signing of Allen I’m positive the staff is looking for reasons to kickstart the Lock era.

Hey dudes, the packers bears game just wrapped up and I’m going to say that I’m feeling really good about the start of the broncos season. Raiders game should be a win and both of these teams look like they can’t handle qb pressure. My question(s) is what can the broncos gain from watching 2 of their next three opponents play each other? The back side of my question is, do you think Rodgers will bounce back in time for the broncos or is this Season off to a 3-0 start with a winnable home game for week 4? I thought I remembered hearing last year that the broncos have the best record of the first 5 games in the last 10 years or something like this? Can mase confirm or deny this?

QB question for you gentlemen. Let’s say the Broncos go 9-7 and Flacco’s stat line is around: 3,900 yds, 28 tds and 12 ints. Are we really gonna be calling for Drew Lock to play next year? I just don’t see the reason to rush the process. Mahomes sat a full year, Aaron Rodgers sat multiple years. When Fangio called Lock a “fast ball pitcher”, I took that to mean he needed some developing. Why rush the process IF (and I do mean if) Flacco shows competency in this offense?

Oh the sideshow of AB. I find it terribly hilarious we don’t have to wait for the regular season to watch the implosion. Growing up in California I have a ton of friends who are Raiders fans. I have talked smack about this since day one, and even made a bet with one of them. A silly little bet, but please believe I’m gonna have so much pleasure watching his profile pic with orange and blue through the post season. Von did studio 58 last years off season. It was was epic. Didn’t miss an episode. I literally scheduled my week around it. I was bummed he didn’t do this year. My favorite skit was Vonner. His ride share app. He just took you to your car. ???. My sides hurt I thought it was so funny.. If you haven’t seen it, you should.
As long as the dollars are flowing for upgrades and maintenance, I particularly don’t care who the sponsor is, it will always be mile high. It’s just the way it is. #sorrynotsorry

My guys! I just needed to stop by the comments section to talk about how excited I am that MASE has joined the family. As I’ve mentioned before, I grew up in Longmont. As a little kid I didn’t pay much attention to sports reporting, but I was so in love with everything Broncos. After moving to Virginia and being without my favorite team, I felt lost in the sea of Redskins fandom. OH LORDY MAMA here comes Andrew Mason to my rescue. Up until BSN, The Mase was the gospel when it came to Broncos coverage. If Mason didn’t report it, it didn’t happen. As a lifetime supporter of this damn good media outlet, it is truly a blessing to have all my favorite broncos coverage under one roof. Thank you, Mr. Mason, for your years of coverage, and I’m raising a Strawberry Sky to many more.

Additionally, for what it’s worth, your transition into the BSN Broncos podcast was seamless.

I have to admit that I’m in the minority of people who didn’t know Mase before he joined BSN, but I can tell that he is going to be an awesome fit! He’s a great combination of nerd and football fan like me, so I can’t wait to hear more of what he’s got to bring.

Also, I couldn’t help but go and look at the ratings on Apple Podcasts after you brought that up. Looks like the people who leave 1 star are either the kind of people that think just because they look at lots of analytics they are therefore the most hardcore football fans in existence, or people with no joy in their life who can’t stand giggles. Which, BTW, I’ve never understood. Zac’s laugh has never rubbed me the wrong way or come off as distracting in any way.

I looked at the ratings of some of the other podcasts that I listen to, and it looks like a lot of the big ones were sitting comfortably at 4.5 stars. I really think that’s the best you can ask for as your appeal grows and you attract more listeners. Rest assured you are in very good company, keep doing what you do!

It’s been said many times the past few days but truly amazing to have Mason here. BSN reaching new heights and expanding rapidly over he pst year since I have joined has been amazing and am proud to be a part of it.

Raiders are a mess. Fairly confident in our Broncos over the things that have transpired over the past 2 days.

This a question I have mostly for Mase because you have talked about it before but I definitely want your opinions as well. You’ve talked about how this could potentially be Von’s last year in Orange and blue because of the team option in his contract next year. With how Vic has talked about Von in contrast to how he’s talked about Chubb I get the feeling he may not be completely enamored with Von and will push to move on next year. I guess my question would be, do you think Vic will influence the team into letting von go next year to save the extra money? Or do you think he’s being hard on him to get more out of him and there’s nothing to read into to besides that? How does Drew Lock fit into this situation? If we see him play at the end of the year and he plays well do you think that will help keep Von on the team next year? A lot depends on this year and I could be proven wrong, but a team next year that keeps Flacco as the QB and gets rid of Von as a result doesn’t seem TOO unrealistic.

My 2 cents on the Mace addition. BSN just got extremely fortunate to add someone with Andrew Mason’s depth of knowledge and history of the Broncos, the NFL, and life in general. He’s the OG who goes way further back than any of us, and I learn a ton from listening to him each podcast. You have this amazing resource, so you gotta give him the time and space to share. Might have to adjust a little bit: longer podcasts and maybe fewer questions. Quality, not quantity. I would much rather get the depth of Mace’s knowledge on fewer topics or questions, rather than speeding through 40 questions on a more shallow level just to get to them all. Take advantage of the resource you have been blessed with. We will all be smarter for it.

Welcome to the BSN family Mase so glad you came to BSN when u left the Broncos… will miss Mason’s mailbag but getting you on the pods everyday is EPIC! Yorkshire pudding is a staple in my house whenever we are eating roast beef. Loved hearing MASE give my hometown of Victoria BC a shout out for Yorkshire pudding he had when he was in town lol … do you remember what restaurant were u at? 4. With last nights game being potential good film for our week 2 and 3 opponents I couldn’t help bet reflect on the last 2 years. Where it seemed like everyone and their mother knew what the Broncos needed to do to be successful (i.e. play action, defend tight ends, etc…) and Every week listening to NFL radio and other local/national media people would be shaking their heads as to why Denver wasn’t playing and scheming to their strengths. Do you think that was do to VJ’s lack of experience and the head guy, or he was scared to make a mistake? Secondly I feel like Vic has been around the block so many times that he can identify another teams weakness and exploit it on an week by week basis. Thoughts?

Hey guys, I just heard that AB is still with the Raiders. Could this be a blessing in disguise? On the downside, he’s playing Monday night. On the other hand, my understanding is the Raiders are now on the hook for his guaranteed money. How will that affect their cap if the next blowup is his last and they HAVE to cut him?

I can’t decide if he has some sort of serious neurological condition or if this is all just an audition for his upcoming reality TV show. After all, any publicity is good publicity, right? He could be the next Bobby Brown! People will pay to see a train wreck…

One other question (and I’m touching wood as I type this) – if things were to go horribly off the rails and we were in a position to draft Chase Young, would the Broncos consider trading Von, and if so what could they get for him? Not wishing for it mind you, just curious.

Star Wars, do you think that bringing Emperor Palpatine back but not Anakin ultimately destroys the prophecy of the chosen one? I bring this up because it’s getting closer to the release of Rise of Skywalker and I know you’re as much a movie guru as you are a Broncos historian. What happens to the AFC’s playoff climate if Patrick Mahomes experiences a huge sophomore slump? I know it won’t happen but if it does, what are your predictions?
