Wow! Just cannot keep up with the great content you guys are putting out. Just finished listening to the last podcast and wanted to make a Tua point (which you kinda skipped over the first time I made it ?) and I find a new podcast!

I’ll comment on the old one, but if you do get a chance to go back and look, that’d be great!

Enjoy the trip and the burritos, Ryan!

Noreik!
I loved your Tua comment. Since we recorded two pods on Tuesday we couldn’t get to any new questions. We will have a pod on Friday, but it will be focused around the game.
I already have your Tua question slated for Monday! And you KNOW I can’t wait to talk about it!!

Von Miller is held so many times. He never gets the call. Why?

G’day guys,
Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems as though Keenum does not Audible at the line much? (I know he is no Peyton Mannning)Is this typically a Musgrave offence directive? Did Keenum call many at Minnesota? Or is it a lack of confidence maybe? From a comment he said after the Brian Parker INT in the redzone – he made that decision pre-snap. As the ‘Wiley Vet” should he not have recognised the coverage and made adjustments? I will be monitoring the situation vs Arizona.

Massive props as always,

Cheers

You just answered your own question. He decides where he’s going before the play starts so he already thinks he has the defense beat, why audible?

Ryan, I just have to call you out. You jumped all over me for swearing when I used the word “ass” in a comment. I just listened to you say that same word repeatedly during the pod. Tisk, tisk.
(I’m mostly kidding. I just have to give you a hard time about it.)

Vance won’t commit to the run because he doesn’t believe in it. His actions and words have stated as much. Stats don’t lie. He talks a big game about getting his backfield more carries, but that hasn’t been what’s happening on the field. It seems like everyone but Vance knows Denver needs to run the ball. How does that message get through to VJ?

I know it is still early in the season and you are both probably pretty tired of this line of questioning. Regardless, I think you’ll like this take:

Why doesn’t Bill Kollar receive any consideration as an interim? He arrived in 2015 and I’d say his unit played an important role that season. He was retained through a coaching turnover. The organization obviously has immense faith in him, drafting both projects for him that worked out like Gotsis and giving him elite talent like Chubb at 5th overall. His players seem to love him because they improve under his coaching (taking Shelby off the scrap heap and making him a stud) and some of the biggest (literally and figuratively) and most vocal Broncos would have his back. His loud gruffness could be just what this team needs right now and would play well in the media. Why isn’t anyone talking about this?

What a defensive performance against the Cards. I know they’re one of the worst if the not worst team in football, but it’s still been one hell of a performance on D. Miller was a monster, CHJ was his usual self, and I thought Roby played his best game of the year. This is exactly what we needed headed into KC next week. On a side note, I wanted to give a shout out to Josh Rosen for even attempting to dive in there with Von Miller to recover the fumble in the 4th quarter. I couldn’t help but think of Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50 when he failed to even try and get the ball back. Lets beat those Chiefs!

Hey guys!

I can’t wait for victory waffles tomorrow! Finally! It was nice to see our defense bounce back from the last two games. Hat stickers to every single person on D. Von really lit the team on fire and I truly believe it sparked the team. It was also a pleasant
suprise seeing Yiadom making big tackles, Brock playing good coverage, Roby playing with his swagger back, and Chris Harris with his first pick of the season. I can go on and on with everyone else but I’ll just say this, we can compete with the Chiefs if Case Keenum has a turnover free game!

Couple questions!

1.) Did DeMarcus Walker look good against the run/pass? (I know the Cards are just bad!)

2.) With R.Freeman’s high ankle injury, do we see even more passing from Case and the offense? I can see the potential, but Case is sadly the only thing holding them back.

Thanks guys Go Broncos!

2.) What do you guy

Forget Chad Kelly, when do you think Emmanuel Sanders gets his shot at starting QB?

It looked like a GREAT game on both sides of the ball. However……as EVERYONE in the media and analysts have said…The Cardinals are probably the worst team in the NFL. So I am glad the Broncos came out and dominated the game, but I am going to hold my elation until I see them play the Chiefs at Arrowhead. Even of the Broncos lose, as long as they show the FIRE that we saw last night in the game I will be happier. It would be great if they could crush the Chiefs in the same way, but you are looking at two totally different opponents.

The Defense really stepped up their game. I saw some great run stuffs and some actual good tackling! On Millers second strip sack, I was soooo hoping he would be able to pick it up and run it in, but he couldn’t quite get his hands fully on the ball.

Quick question. How HOT is the hot seat for everyone with this win? If I were the GM or owner or stakeholder for the team, I think I would still have everyone on the HOT seat through the Chiefs game…..just to see how the team can hold this change of character.

October 19, 2018

Man it felt great last night. Partly because I was expecting the worst and I ended up extremely satisfied lol. Even after the first pick-six I was still waiting for the worst because we usually start out great. But after Harris’ pick-six I put all the chips in on the table. Emotionally speaking anyways.
My thoughts and concerns though are still on case Keenum. It wasn’t so noticeable with Von and the defense “beating that ass”.
He is still horribly off target with the receivers, there was at least 5 passes that I can think of where he underthrows his receivers when they’re running down the field and then overthrows them when their on the sideline. Incredibly frustrating. Cortland Sutton basically has to slow down and damn near stop just to try to catch the ball.

Love the win but that can’t be happening against the chiefs. Or most other teams for that matter. And Bill Musgrave still can’t help but pass the ball, he must be addicted to the pass or something. Their up 35 and running almost all plays in shotgun empty set. Idk what goes on in his head.

On a side note I wish Von Miller was aggressive more often. I liked it! Everyone knows he’s the best so when he says he’s going to kick your ass he will definitely kick your ass. Need some more of that from the Vonster.

Hoping Von can stay angry for the rest of the season. Can we count this as a road win though? Broncos country showed up in a big way. Looking at the stats it felt like case was throwing way more then he did. Lindsay should of had more carries but atleast

Hi guys. First, my name is pronounced HAY-uh-tin. Obviously enjoyed last night’s game, but saw something I thought was interesting that I wanted to get your perspective on. I’m a Denver native and life-long Bronco fan, but I live now in the Washington, D.C. area. Yesterday there was an article in the Washington Post titled, “Redskins’ Smith is still ‘getting a feel’ for system.” Gruden has recently criticized Alex Smith for holding onto the ball too long and Smith was quoted as saying, “…Conceptually, [there’s] some things that we do that I have a long history with that, obviously, came very easy and others that are still new [and] still getting a feel for.” I found the parallel to be interesting. At this point, I’m not a huge Keenum fan. but maybe we have expected too much too soon? I would be interested in your thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

I didn’t get an answer on Twitter last night, so I’ll ask again. Was I on Punk’d last night or did that game really happen? I understand it’s the Cardinals, but those are still professionals that Denver just smacked in the mouth. That’s why I didn’t want to give up on this team yet, there’s soooooo much talent on the roster! Here’s my question, in your opinion, is Case Keenum just holding the ball too long still? It seems like 50% of the times he drops back, he ends up scrambling to the sideline after like 4 seconds in the pocket. Is there something I’m missing? Obviously you guys have a better view at the game then I do on TV. Thanks for everything you do, your jobs may have just gotten a heck of a lot more interesting!
