Hey guys!

First of all, I am thrilled that Ryan finally had and loved dim sum!

Couple of things: watching our quarterback play the last few years helps me appreciate all the more those years that we had PFM, as well as all of the years I was able to watch Elway before him. What an incredible joy and comfort to have a solid quarterback! How and when will we have that feeling again??

Concerning VJ; I don’t love him, and I don’t hate him, but I do think that he is improving. So here’s my question: Why don’t we give head coaches the time to develop that we seem to give most other people and other positions? Emotionally, I understand the impatience and frustration. But logically it just seems to make sense that there is a learning curve that these people have to go through. Bill Belichick was 20 and 28 his first three years with Cleveland. And we know that Mike Shanahan didn’t even last his first two years with Oakland before he was fired (and it took him six more years before he got another head coach position, with us). Of course there are exceptions (McVay, and Anthony Lynn, who by the way is really the coach that VJ could be compared to).

Praying for relevancy after Saturday,

Keep up the great work guys!

Good stuff as always, guys!

This isn’t as much as a question as it is something cool I saw. I was on the NFL Fantasy app and looked at Courtland Sutton. The thing that stuck out to me was that they cited Zac Stevens from BSNDenver.com. It was neat!

Morning BSN Fam

BIG shout out to ChimichangaChris! I received the Terrell Davis HoF Crunch cereal box yesterday! The mailing system was not nice to it, but it is still AWESOME to have and add to my BRONCOS collection. I would upload a pic but that isn’t an option (yet) on the comment section.

Speaking of adding things…..earlier in the year there was talk about adding a community forum section where where subscribers could start chatting about any topic. Is this still in the works or is it being put on ice? It would be fun to continue some of the discussions on random topics with the BSN community without taking podcast time.

For future knowledge…..What is the Podcast schedule going to look like for the holidays? Are you guys taking the time off?

Thanks for everything!

GO BRONCOS!!!

I’m having a hard time generating how I feel about VJ’s comments this week, because I know that we don’t always see the full picture from the outside looking in. On the one hand, I understand that the head coach should be willing to stand up to any player on the team, but on the other hand it just seems that given the Broncos’ current situation – and the intense scrutiny that VJ is under right now – that he had to have some major cajones to call out the face of the franchise/one of the best performing players and leaders on the team in the way he did. Am I wrong to feel that way?

Coaching question: I’m curious why you guys (and other Broncos podcasters too) are so high on Harbaugh as a coach. I live in Washington, DC with family in Baltimore and they say, “you can have him.” He has only had 2 years of a winning record (not counting this year, which isn’t finished) since winning the Super Bowl and one of those years was with Kubiak as OC. 2013: 8-8 2014: 10-6 (Kubiak was OC) 2015: 5-11 2016: 8-8, then last year 9-7. Family in Baltimore says that players do not play hard for him and many long-time fans have stopped going. I understand he has a Super Bowl under his belt, but seems very uninspiring since. I’m interested in why there is so much hype about him in Denver. Thanks, as always!

Why can’t the broncos use 6 offensive lineman more often?

Another painful loss. I don’t feel the players quit , to stay close with 1 healthy CB shows heart from the team.

Main question/comment with the lawsuit, the fact that Ellis still hasn’t sold naming rights , and the food/health dept report, does this show such a lack of management that it is time to really talk about selling the Team. These mistakes both big and small would never have happened under Pat.
Also
Keenum is NOT a good QB.

Hey guys,

I’ve tried to avoid commenting right after a loss, but I couldn’t resist after this one. The season is officially over. I can’t say for certain what will happen to VJ, but Bill Musgrave definitely has to go. You cannot put up 14 and 16 points against two of the worst defenses in the NFL. It’s inexcusable and is a fire-able offense. You can look no further than the horrible arrow route that Daeson got dropped for a loss in the last minute of the game. You can look at the inability to identify the pressure that had been brought at crucial moments the entire game, and call a play to counter it. You can look at the back-shoulder passes to Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton that worked at the beginning of the game and then were abandoned in the second quarter.
Anyway, did Sutton get hurt or was he just not part of he game plan? And has Phil hit the rookie wall?
I think it’s time we see what Kevin Hogan can do and embrace the tank.
Myles Garrett is a beast.
Thanks and gig ’em

BadOne Log 14:

Hey guys tough one today for sure, I’m going to just speak my mind:

1) VJ has some moments where I thought he made good calls (like using all his timeout before the end of the half to give the ball back to the offense) but then he had his bad times (not telling musgrave to play keep away when we had 1 CB and we forced an INT) HC, OC, and DC have run their course in this town it ia Clear that they do not know how to properly call the right plays to make our guys successful.

2) I feel bad for Case he really wants to be the guy in Denver.. but he just does not have the ability to be the guy and Musgrave doesn’t know how he can do that for him.

3) does Tim Patrick remind you guys of Brandon Marshall during his rookie year.. I see him taking the leap next year

4) no discipline during the game today

5) Gostis needs a contract

6) can we put a search party out for our running game?

Hey guys, first off, just subscribed to BSN last month 100% because of you guys. The podcast and your articles are great. Especially since we are struggling. I’m sure they were great when 18 was here too, but being able to get some insight from people close to the team, hear what’s going on during the week, and listen opinions and critiques that mean something instead of the talking heads on the 3 & 4 letter networks when we’re not good keeps me sane.
With that out of the way and as Drake would say, “I’m upset!” I haven’t been this angry at a head coach since McDipsh#t. I have so many things to say, but I’ll just ask one question. Do you think Anything Lynn would have kicked that pointless field goal?! Yeah, you take points during the first 3 quarters. In the last 5 minutes, you show some confidence in yourself and your team and win the damn game!

Thanks for the great content!

I am usually level headed and optimistic. I have given Vance Joseph a much longer leash than many in Broncos country have, but I can’t take it anymore. The decision to kick the FG and trust a depleted defense with one (count it) one cornerback is absolutely gutless and not what Denver Bronco football is about. We play for keeps here! Weak sauce Vance, weak sauce. Even Gregg Williams tried his best to completely screw the Browns out of a win, alas we still lose. Who is this team? This is not the Denver Broncos. The worst part of the Vance Joseph era is that nearly 2 years in (and hopefully that’s it) and we still have no identity whatsoever. Nobody can convince me any longer that Joseph has done enough to warrant a 3rd season. Bring in a good experienced coach like John Harbaugh, or an assistant coach who actually has a resume that is worthy of being a head coach (unlike Vance) like Dave Toub.

Rant over.

PS I love you guys!

Man… Forth and 1 you go for it especially if a field goal won’t tie it or take the lead. As Ryan said what does the other team not want us to do? Theyd rarher us kick a field goal. That said Case left it all out there. Love he went deep. Picks come with the territory. Gatta remember their defenders are paid to make plays too. Anyways quick hypothetical: Would Vance have been more successful with Peyton under center?

Thanks

After watching that game, I think we are all feeling the same way: hopeless. First of all, I gotta say that story Ryan wrote after the game was perfect! It summed up all of our collective emotions. Now that our season is over (assuming Sunday’s games put us officially out of the hunt) I have an off-topic question. As Guam’s resident BSN fan, I will be in Sydney shortly after the new year. Can any of our Australian guys recommend a place for good food in Sydney? Thanks! (And for old time’s sake, let’s all picture Phil Lindsay doing one last Mile High Salute)

Plenty of great good in Sydney Christian. If you jump on a website called ‘time out Sydney’ you will be able to do plenty of research before you get here based on location and price and type of cuisine. If you want to splash out a few dollars and have a very Sydney dining experience try Icebergs Dining in Bondi or Aqua Dining in Milsons point.

I thought about writing a big long comment to get my emotions and disappointment across. But I’m just so disappointed I don’t even care to do that. I was at the game last night, what a boring and sloppy game. Wasn’t even fun. The players on offense especially just look hopeless and defeated.
Can’t wait for the draft! Excited for 2019. Go Broncos.

December 16, 2018

I think Jamar Taylor getting ejected is the perfect way to describe VJ’s handle on this team. Do you think a player does something like that under Belichick in less than two weeks with the team? I don’t think so. VJ sets the tone early by setting no tune whatsoever. No discipline, no accountability, no playoffs, no HC job. See ya pal. Have a good day guys!

Hi guys. Here’s a question for the next podcast.

As the season is more or less over, we might as well start looking to the offseason. We have around a dozen unrestricted free agents and quite a few restricted free agents. Which ones should we try to keep? And which ones do you think we will open up the check book to keep?

I am a UK Broncomaniac and subscribed a few weeks ago. Love the podcast!

Hey guys!

Well we can definitely say this season was a rollar coaster. I’m honestly still at a lost for words. So I just watched a video of Dan Quinn’s worst coaching decision ever. Guess what? VJ essentially repeated history. Please look that up if you guys haven’t seen it.

Do you guys believe Broncos Country can trust another offseason of hope with VJ? I honestly believe this was the dagger in the hearts of many for VJ’s case to stay? I still have a lot of hope for the future of this team because this season we fought hard! Thanks guys for being the light that brings us out of darkness! Let’s start a revolution!
