Sorry for the disjointed comments after the game. You guys need a way for us to edit our comments on here – Sorry for the extra work tech guys. Love the pod and a satisfied subscriber.

Hey Guys, are we having fun now or what!?

So, a little context: my first favorite player was Floyd Little, then Otis Armstrong (great runner!), Sammy Winder (soft spot for the Mississippi Mud Walker), Bobby Humphrey, and TD of course!! I just love good running backs. I also appreciate having a home run hitter, someone who is a threat from anywhere on the field: Rick Upchurch, Billy White Shoes Johnson, Darren Sproles, Tyreke whatshisface on that red team, even our little #11 with the butter hands (Trindon Holliday). I think that is what Elway was drafting for two years ago.

I’ve loved watching PhLindsay play since his junior year at CU, and he is officially my favorite player to watch. But I can’t help but wonder still about DeAngelo Henderson. It looked like he did everything asked of him, with a bursty speed and shiftiness and a nose for the end zone every time. And yet he wasn’t kept (also not really making it with the Jets). And I know, it may have been against 3’s and 4’s, or 2’s and 3’s, but why wasn’t he given the chance to do it at the next level? So it must have been other issues having to do with blocking and picking up blitzes, or locker room dynamics, or something. It reminds me of Peyton Hillis, who ran with a rare and effective violence, but couldn’t keep a job. (Do you remember the conjectures–‘Did he piss in Elway’s coffee or something?!”)

Thoughts?

Keep up the fantastic work guys. And Ryan, you were half right on the Chargers Steelers—damn! But really: “What is Dim Sum?”!!!

Hey fellas. I was going through previous podcasts so that I could compile my poetry, and I enjoyed reading the titles of the podcasts as the season progressed, so I thought I’d share them with the BSN community.

Starting from the loss to the Jets:

October 8: Where do they go from here?
October 11: Why change is not the answer… for now
October 12: Is Denver making the right changes?
October 16: The interim coach that would get everybody excited
October 29: Denver’s biggest problem through eight games
November 5: An inexcusable loss
November 9: What positives can come from the rest of the season?
November 14: Where do they go from here?
November 19: Is Denver back in this thing?
November 22: Do you believe?
November 26: Is something special brewing?
December 3: Things have changed

What a wild ride.

That comment kind of looks like it would be a poem, but it’s not. Sorry to disappoint.

Hey guys

I renewed my subscription 10 months early to get “free” t-shirt. Haven’t used the gift card yet though. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got coming on the Locker this week. Anyway.. Question:

Monday was the day for Nathan Peterman to work out right? Any news on that?

Also: I just took a look at the ESPN Playoff Machine. If the Broncos go into the Chargers game at 9-6 they might already be in at that point, if the Browns can beat the Ravens early on the last day of the season. I don’t really see the other 6-6 teams being threats with their remaining schedules.

One last thing: That Broncos-Chargers game could very well be flexed to a night game. Last year was the first time in 10 years that week 17 didn’t have a night game, but that made sense since it was on New Year’s Eve. This year it wouldn’t make sense to NOT have the Chargers game flexed if it turns out it’s “win-and-in”.

Again, I love listening to you guys – keep up the great work!

Hey Ryan and Zac,

You talked a little bit about CB being an area of high need for Denver in the upcoming draft and I totally agree. That being said, How do you think the “Bradley Roby Situation” plays out at the end of the year. Correct me if I am wrong, but he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year and I have no clue what will happen with him. I am not a huge fan of Roby because of his inconsistent play at a position that NEEDS consistency. However, is Denver really going to let another CB leave when we are already thin at that position? Is Roby back in Denver next year, and if so, at what cost? If he hits the open market how much money will he fetch?

Phillip Lindsay for Rookie of the Year!!!

Thanks Guys,

Can’t always have it picked out. Gotta save the good looks for the field and not the press conferences.

Hey guys. I know that emails are a dying form of communication, only used by those of us who were born before 1985, but you should check it once in a while!
I got totally robbed of my 30 seconds of fame because you guys didn’t get my rendition of the Victory Monday intro song, smh.

What a great game (yet again!) by Lindsay, I’m definitely restocking my broncos gear with his jersey (the latest one I have is a #16 Plummer, so it was about time)

Thanks for killing my promising country-singing career before it even began.

Hey boys what a season we have! Couldn’t pass up the cyber Monday deal after listening for two years. I’m much like Ryan with the optimism, and expect a 6th seed playoff berth! The heart this team has shown over the past 13 weeks has me crushing hard. To think we are a missed field goal and combined overthrow/ DT lack of burst, (sprint on that route, check the tape!) away from 8-4! I live around Boston and nationally we get zero respect! As Brian Dawkins would say “How do we get respect ??? We take it dog darn it!” Sit back and appreciate what we’re going to witness.
Overall thank you for giving me a reason to look forward to my hour long work commute every morning. PS Zac has me disappointed about his portion control comment concerning Chipotle bowl…

Beastly out!

BadOne Log 11:

So my plan is working perfectly, first get featured on the intro song then a guest appearance lol

1) Broncos are 6-1 when Lindsey rushes for over 70 yards this year

2) Broncos had 361 yards on Sunday and 284 (79%) of those yards were produced by rookies and ALL the TDs were scored by rookies. this class is like none other we have had in the past.

3) If we beat the 49ers and Browns and get to 8-6, that would be officially when everyone jumps on board. I want to say I am ashamed to have doubted this team and called for a tank or change after the Texans game. Also, I have a feeling we about to get 2015 playoff Von at the last stretch of the season.

4) that DT trade seems silly now doesnt it?

I was looking at the playoff picture, and I noticed something that would be best case scenario for the Broncos playoff chances. It all comes down to the AFC North Division. We want the Ravens to win that division. They would need to win 3 of 4 games and they are winnable. And the Steelers need to lose 2 more (Patriots & Saints). But it all comes down to that we have to win out. If we don’t, I dont think we will make the playoffs. We have to have a lot go our way, but anything is possible. Best regards! Shaka.

Happy Tuesday BSN!!! Pastor Rhett is correct! You can love Jesus, and enjoy some fantastic cold pops! I know I do! Random thought! I was eating an omelet today for lunch. That’s essentially a hot pocket. I fits into your theory that almost everything is a hot pocket.

Speaking of which, here is Nick’s hot pocket hot take of the day:

ale 81 is simply ginger ale and highly overrated. You can go to any local grocery store, pick up their house brand of ginger soda, and have the same experience. It is the Aaron Rodgers of ginger sodas. Strip it if it’s label (or qb coach and surrounding talent) and it is just like other sodas of its kind. Still VERY good and elite because ginger soda is deliecious, but not quite as good as other beverages (Tom Brady, peyton manning, john Elway, joe Montana, etc.) ??? (I have to start taking shots like this if I want to ever be remembered as a a true part of this family as a commenter that people remember. ) ?

Anyway, I don’t have a broncos related question or comment. I am thankful every day for you guys and this community. Keep up the exceptional work. BSN, unlike Aaron rodgers, lives up to the hype! Go Broncos!

Hey Guys,

Pronunciation of the name is follows: “Sausage” as in “Sausage” and “Sanga” like “Hanger”. It is a delicacy down here in Oz.Google it.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that my 4 year old daughter’s favourite song is the intro for your pod. She knows all the words and I catch her singing it around the house all the time. It’s the cutest thing ever.

Love your work. Keep it up.

Sup brethren!
I was reading an interesting article in which Jared Goff named the Broncos as the toughest test he’s faced all year defensively. They did well in countering the Rams offensive scheme and confusing him a bit. I thought it was very cool to hear this from Goff and gives me hope not only in the Broncos Defense but Joe Woods as a defensive coordinator.
Also, I heard about the Broncos Cruise with former Broncos and such and it got me thinking…what about an annual Broncos BSN meetup in Denver (or somewhere else) for a weekend. As I’ve said before I live in the San Diego area but would love to get to know fellow subscribers along with Zac and Ryan. Just a thought! I think it’d be a hell of a time!

Hey BSN Family,
I dropped this question a couple of podcasts ago but I think I missed the deadline so I am dropping it again. So here is the original post:
Work has me a little behind in the podcast. But no worries just finished listening. Wanted to touch on the nickname topic. I am good with RC. I would like the BSN Family to help me with coming up with a nickname for me.

I have one quick question: what is Phillip Lindsay’s contract look like? Years? Dollars? Bonuses?

Now on to a new question. I don’t know how other people looked at this but I always felt Von was the leader of the Defense and CHJ was the heart and soul of the Defense. With the injury to CHJ, who takes over that role? Can we put that much pressure on Von to be that guy or should we expect someone else to pick up that role?

Thanks for all the hard work.

Hey guys! -Brian from Los Angeles here.
So I’ll get straight to the point.
Rookies that are drafted, have a defined contract as far as pay and how many years they are locked in. With phillip lindsay , does he become a free agent at the end of the year? With his burst onto the scene as a superstar what type of contract could we expect him to receive ?
Also hot pockets are great, but tostino pizza rolls are life….but let me guess who’s never tried them -_-

Me, on the verge of panicking: don’t panick, don’t panick, don’t panick, don’t panick, don’t panick….

Okay, the injury bug has turned into an injury pandemic. With THE Emmanuel Sanders down, where are the Broncos now? Can Sutton step up into the number 1 spot and keep the momentum rolling? Can the offense adjust and will Case Keenum trust his arm enough to put some 90/10 balls up for 14? Will Vance finally let Phil the Thrill run? Should Colby “effin” Wadmen play WR when he’s not busy blasting the football downfield?

I’m getting delirious.

Talk me down!

December 5, 2018

Well Sanders may be down, hope that you guys can get to this on today’s podcast, but if that’s the case how would you feel lining Sutton and Tim Patrick on the outside and Hamilton in the slot? I may be crazy because I love the big physical wide recievers, and I’m not trying to say Sanders won’t be a big loss, but I think that combo would have serious potential. IF they went with this and found success is there a chance we would move on from Sanders after this season? I feel terrible for Sanders if he did tear his Achilles but like you guys have said before that is a crippling injury and he may never be the same and it would free up a lot of money. Thanks as always for the insight!

Time to embrace the youth movement. For the rest of this year, and even more next year as well. Sorry this happened to Sanders though such an exiting player to watch.
