It was shortly after 1st and 10 at 10 went off the air that I fell into a deep depression. My daily dose of Andrew Mason had kept me sane. In his infinite wisdom he suggested that I turn to the fine gents at BSN. By the time I heeded his sage advice ZAC was in Greece and I think Kackles and RK were holding down the fort. Nonetheless I became a BSN devotee but still had a giant hole in my heart. Mase joining the crew has restored my faith that all will be right with the world (at least bronco country) This triumvirate will no doubt result in the greatest sports banter of all times.

I’m so stoked (and relieved) that Mase has joined BSN. My two sources for all things Broncos have joined forces and I couldn’t be happier since I’m already a long-time subscriber and daily podcast listener.

Since it’s my first comment I’d like to quickly introduce myself.

My first Broncos experience was the Broncos/Cowboys SB. It was a loss but I was hooked. I was in the stands for Elway’s first game and pass. I was in Jerry’s World for Peyton winning 51-49 and running the naked boot. And everything in between. So I’ve been around.

That being said, I think you’ll understand when I say that I almost lost my heart and soul the past two years with VJ and the revolving QB show.

Im here to say I believe in Vic. I believe in John. And I believe we’re just good enough to to miss the playoffs and get Lock on the field for 4 games or so. The worst thing that could happen is we go 8-8, miss the playoffs and don’t see Lock on the field. Give me playoffs or give me Lock. (Or both somehow)

Obviously I’d rather we make the playoffs. But a little part of me hopes that if it all goes south, it goes quickly so we can see what we have in Lock. What are your thoughts? Isn’t 8-8 or 9-7 worse than 6-10 or 7-9 but finding out what we have?

So to have Mase on board with RK and Z Money… it’s like one of those epic mind-blowing cross-overs in the movies! This pod just went next level yo!

Once you all started talking BBQ and ribs I’m sure the whole community could tell Mase fits right in with the food talk.

From this UK Broncomaniac, welcome to the team Mase! I almost danced a little jig when this news popped up on my Twitter feed this morning. Now to my question – does the addition of Brandon Allen make it more or less likely that Drew Lock will be brought back from IR after week 8? My hope is that it will be more likely. I don’t know much about Allen, but his career stats don’t exactly inspire much confidence.

Holy cow, my favorite community by far is obviously is BSN Broncos, my favorite media member is the legendary Andrew Mason, Mase Mailbag was my first dive into further coverage of the Broncos. I am so beyond stoked. Also Mase is the overall smartest person I have ever heard speak.

I actually almost met you 2 years ago pregame at the Broncos chargers Monday night season opener but I was star struck and couldn’t bring myself to approach you. So excited to see you join the best media outlet out there.

I was so bummed out when “the other station” started to slowly lose talent like McChesney, Lindahl, Ray then the trio of yourself, R Edwards and the HOF Mr. Atwater. Love hearing all your analysis and history of the game, gonna love hearing this new trio on BSN.
Living in the Austin area, I definitely agree with you on Salt Lick out in Driftwood, not only is the food delicious, but also being able to BYOB and sit back and relax with the view of the hill country makes it that much better. There’s so many good places for BBQ here and if y’all ever get the chance, I would highly suggest Franklins BBQ, it’s worth the long wait and it’s the best damn BBQ I’ve had so far. Been there 4 times, one of those times secret service surrounded the building as a certain president came in and skipped the line to get food.
RK- It’s true that Texas BBQ is mostly known for not needing sauce, but I’ve never been to a place that refused to offer sauce with all their meats. So many places here make their own sauce, and their pretty damn good to. Looking forward to more great content.

I recently found out that I am deploying, so I will be relying heavily on you guys for all the inside information and insight into the Broncos while I am away. I love this community, and you know I will be representing the BSN Mafia with pride! We will be training foreign military personnel, and I plan on bringing a dozen BSN shirts to help me convert as many of them into BSN’ers as possible! Would it be possible to get any of these shirts in dark green or tan color? I love the bright orange colors, but the Von Miller G.O.A.T shirt could result in a severe case of ”high speed lead poisoning” in that type of environment! Mase! welcome to the BSN family. Outside of Zac and RK you are my favorite Broncos beat writer. So to have all of you under one roof is insane to me. I saw you a few times at the HOF weekend, every time I walked by you I pointed at you and yelled “what’s up MASE” I hope you kinda remember that. Yesterday you mentioned the ECU centerfield decal, are you from NC? I grew up in Raleigh and went to school at ECU so I was shocked when you busted that little nugget out.

This isn’t necessarily a Broncos related question but I guess it could tie in, this Trent Williams situation in Washington doesn’t look like it’s ever going to get resolved and he will be okay pulling a Leveon Bell and sitting the season out. Is there like ANY chance Denver is monitoring that situation and possibly eyeing T.Williams as a trade target? Possibly sending Bolles and some variety of draft capital for Williams. Seems like it would be a win-win for both sides as Bolles would be better than whatever backup they throw out there to replace Williams and replacing Bolles would be a massive upgrade to the Broncos O-line. Especially for Risners development.

Well boys, all I know is this.
The rest of the national sports media should be thankful that BSN doesn’t have the man power to cover all of the teams around the league because they wouldn’t stand a chance. Hell, even Perna makes those guys look bad. So thankful for this community and this Damn Good Sporrs coverage.

Never thought there would be a day I could get more of the great Andrew Mason in my life, but I am so here for it.

What a great pod guys! and adding Mase to the mix…..BLOWN AWAY! So psyched to have you join the BSN family! With all the late roster moves, it makes me realize how far our team needs to go before we truly are “great again”. Mase, great point about the Broncos now paying the price for our terrible drafts in the last several years.

I’m fearful we may be in for another rough season as it will take time for Fangio’s work to fully turn the ship around. When i read Mases’ tweet about leaving his current Broncos beat i was a little upset. I thought please no, not Mase!

Then we get the news, “Ladies and Gents, we got em.” I am sure that has been said but im saying it again!

Also i know there has to be a couple non subs in the Coeur d alene, North Idaho area. I have talked to at least one person who knew of the pod who listens in on occasion. Stop being scrubs and join, I need some North Idaho BSN family!

Hey fellas!
No question here (so of course feel free to skip this) but I had a couple pieces of personal football news I wanted share:
1) my little brother was pulled up to be the backup varsity QB! He started the season as the first ever sophomore QB to get the start on JV at his school and his hard work has really paid off. He’s going to school in the Denver-ish area and I might have to make a trip down to see his team beat up on the McCaffreys at Valor Christian. If this is the case, I’d love to buy the three of you beers if that’s a possibility.
2) my good friend and former roommate Sua Opeta was signed to the eagles practice squad this weekend. He had the highest number of bench reps at the combine this last year and is a fantastic player. I guess I have for the first time in my life a team outside the broncos to root for. He’s seriously a phenomenal athlete and an amazing person; I’m hoping someday he winds up in Denver. God knows our Oline could use the help.

Here is my take on the Lock IR situation: whether Lock comes back from IR depends more than Flacco than Lock.

In 8 weeks, we are going to have a pretty good idea where we are with Flacco. If he is playing near his ceiling, and we think he will be the starter next season, no need to rush Lock back. If he is the Flacco we have seen the past 4 years (or worse), Lock starts practicing week 7, and we are going into a bye week in week 10…

Mase is the ultimate “we got him.” When I heard he was on board, my jaw dropped. This elevates BSN from the first among its peers to the level where it has no peers.
