Hey guys, I am curious how does Phillip Lindsey’s contract work? Since he was undrafted and obviously way outperformed his draft status last year did he pick up some incentives. For 2019, will he still be at the rookie minimum?

Do you guys think the NFL should stop awarding playoff spots to division winners, and just go with the top 6 teams in each conference, or keep it the way it is now? Personally I hate the fact that an 8-8 division winner in a weak division can get a higher seed than a 12-4 team in a tough division who doesn’t win their division. Watering down the playoffs.

Also, why no Al Wilson in the Ring of Fame? What are his chances?

It was Elway’s first super bowl. Me and a buddy drove to San Diego just to be downtown for the game, even though we couldn’t actually attend the game. The night before, I was scrambling store to store to find some kind of jersey to wear. I was in a Ross or TJ Max or something like that, speaking with my buddy about maybe it wasn’t smart to wait until the day before to find something to wear, and these two shady AF guys come up and whisper “hey, you looking for Broncos gear?” I was like “yep!” He says “meet me outside around the back, ten minutes”. I say “excuse me sir, this seems extremely shady so I’ll just stay with my friend and not meet you outside.”

NOT!

I totally go outside to meet him, and he pulls up in this faded blue 80’s Plymouth voyager mini van. He opens up the back, and this thing is – loaded – with gear. $20 later I ended up with a completely legitimate, I’m sure absolutely legally acquired Shannon Sharpe jersey that still hangs proudly in my office.

Hey guys have to agree about the Air in Denver we went to a game two years ago and I couldn’t believe it. I’m from an oilfield town in west Texas and it literally smells rotten eggs most of the time (h2s gas and oil) the Denver air was so refreshing when we went for a hike.

I have been saying for years, how do trash teams like the bills get trash receivers wide open running down the field but our clown car full of coaches the past few years can’t figure a way to get DT or E even open once a daggum game.

Next who is this George Aston fellow and what does he think he’s doing, I have been waiting two full years to see jano get some freaking playing time and here comes this Aston guy like he’s somebody special.

Being from said town sadly when I was a kid it was during and oil bust so we did not have much extra money but I found a white Terrell Davis jersey at a church sale for $.50 it was very large on me but I wore it with pride every time I watched football regardless of who was playing.

Seriously if jano scores even a single touchdown this year I’m buying a jersey. Heck even a 3rd and 1 first down run may do it. Don’t know why just always been drawn to the fellow.

I suggest if you guys have a tough time seeing the field, have Zac stand on Ryan’s shoulders. I am sooo excited for the season to come! You guys make me excited each time I listen.

I would say after the draft I’m most concerned about inside linebacker. What have you seen from the inside linebackers so far in practice? I remember you guys suggesting the possibility that Sua Cravens could play inside linebacker in Fangio’s scheme and I wanted to know if you’ve seen him line up there at all. Also in no way do I want a lottery system for the draft, the day that’s implemented is the day the patriots win the super bowl as Brady retires at 45 to get Trevor Lawrence. That’s the day my friend’s I end it all with a seven minute soak.

To explain my all over comments yesterday, I was smoking the ol Mary Jane. I am from Washington state aka the evergreen state. Hence putting the evergreen down. Any who how can you not have a Broncos Jersey when you make a living covering the team! You definitely need to buy one! Or maybe a go fund needs to be set up lol what is your favorite method of cooking? Using the grill, oven, etc.

I think it’s clear John Elway genuinely likes and respects Chris Harris Jr. First ever bonuses? Reconstruct a contract just to pay him what he’s worth? That speaks for volumes of respect for a fellow player.
I think it boils down to this. John has explained that it might not be possible to keep CHJ for a fair value, but they really do want him back. So this allows Chris to test the market and see what people are offering. If he gets a 15 mil/3 yr offer I bet he takes it, but if he’s only seeing 13 and Elway is willing to give him 12 – and Chris loves the Broncos and they just valued and respected him by paying him above his contract…..And If they’re looking like a playoff team again? I bet he’d stay for another slight discount.

If nothing else you are paying for a leader on your defense to be engaged and motivated to help the team win that year, rather than him being an emotional drain on the team. We can’t forget these guys are humans 😉 keeping team morale up is very important, and showing you value your employees makes everyone want to work harder.

If you’re not going to extend Chris Harris Jr, why not just trade him and get it over with? The only thing I can think of is for PR. Other players aren’t going to want to sign here if they see how they’ve treated Chris. Last year’s tag value for corners was 14.9. If we’re cutting players to pay for CHJ I vote for Jeff Heuerman. My second choice of a player to cut would be Jeff Heuerman. Third choice, trade Jeff Heuerman for a future draft pick or maybe a gift card to Chili’s.
I’ve never heard you guys explain what BSN stands for. Is it for Brandon Spano Network?
My first Broncos jersey was a DJ Williams practice jersey, it was on sale and I was on a part time job budget.
Lock wore that sick black arm sleeve at Mizzou but when Mizzou wore white he did switch it up to a white sleeve.so what color do you think he would wear with the Broncos?

We know that Fangio’s defense doesn’t require elite corners. Maybe Elway is expecting that CHJ will look like he is hitting an age 30 decline and he will be cheaper to re-sign next offseason. I’m grasping at straws to explain this deal in the works, does this make any sense?

Missed the buzzer yesterday, so I’m reposting and elaborating a bit here instead.

Some time ago, RK referred to Drew Lock as the supervillain on the podcast. Something along the lines of: “The AFC West saw the birth of a superhero right before their eyes last season in Patrick Mahomes… Drew Lock is here to be that story’s supervillain”…

But as Broncos-fans shouldn’t we see it the other way around? Patrick Mahomes tore the world apart last season, and now Drew Lock emerges as the hero to save us all? Just thought that narrative made more sense from a Broncos perspective.

Also, I’ve been meaning to ask you RK: What’s your golf handicap? I haven’t played myself in a few years, but I wanna know how much I need to practice if I someday get an opportunity to fly to Denver for the BSN Open – won’t be this year unfortunately.

Hey guys! Ray Ray checkin in from North NJ, otherwise known as 6th boro, jk, we like to pretend that tho. Just wanted you to know that the water in NYC is one of, like four cities in the nation, that does not require water filtration due to the water coming from upstate NY, in the Catskill Mountains. Also, our water in NYC and NJ is consistently considered some of the best in the country, and the reason why bagels and pizza is held in such high regard around here. Seriously, the rest of the country’s pizza and bagels are just garbage (Chicago deep dish pizza isn’t pizza, hence why they have to call it deep dish). There are even pizza joints in other cities that import water from here to use in their dough, and it happens to be a great marketing point for said pizza joints. Anyways, football. I’m excited for the season, but I think there is a player not receiving the hype they deserve. Royce Freeman is going to have a great season, if my crystal ball is true. I think that his style of running is going to be a great compliment to Phil Lindz, and I’ve always loved tough, hard-nose, “punch ya in the gut” football. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the way these two will be implemented and how complimentary their schemes will be (i.e. will they go back to using Rolls Royce’s carries to set up the Lindz home run). Formerly Bleeding Orange Since 1983. Hey guys, I realized that my user name is very similar to several other members and I didn’t want to steel anyone’s “THUNDER”, so I changed my screen name. I had a hat made this past year that looks just like a MAGA hat, but it’s blue with orange letters that read “Make The Broncos Great Again”. I get so many sideways looks, but then when people actually read the hat, they bust out laughing. It brought a smile to my face in the midst of another miserable season last year. Hey guys great content as always! I say no to a draft lottery too. I saw a mock one on ESPN where they did a NFL draft Lottery and the broncos got number 4 instead of 10. The analyst chose Williams which I’m not mad about but I like how the draft played out this year as is.

Also, it was hilarious to see the Giants get the number one pick on that show and the analyst still chose Daniel Jones lol. I guess it won’t be funny IF he’s actually good.

New subscriber here. I had to subscribe because of all of my fellow Iowans who are in the BSN army, oh, and because you guys have the best Broncos coverage around of course! So I was born in Nebraska, grew up in Denver, and somehow ended up in Des Moines. I came here to say that Colorado has the best air and water, Nebraska has the best beef, Iowa has the best pork, and yes, there is good ramen in Des Moines that doesn’t come in a 30 cent pack.

Now on to the Broncos, being a Husker fan, Jano is my dude! How do you guys see his role on the team expanding this year? I’ve heard mixed thoughts on Jano and the FB position within the new offense. I feel like the Broncos have never given him enough touches, just hoping that they use him more with scangs calling the shots.
