I would not able to survive without you guys! I would love to meet you guys during one of these watch parties if possible. I’ve got to say it’s even more enjoyable because I too am 27 and know your strife in approaching the scary 30 lol. You guys are so much more relatable which I love! I’ve still been able to follow closely and finally I am caught up to the most current podcast! First order of business, what a fun day for the first day of the draft! I’m sold on this “all in”mentality and ready to see how far this team can get into the playoffs. I really think if Devin White or Ed Oliver was available at 10 we would of stayed. Ryan, I think your assessment of Devin Bush is right on. He’s good, just not Devin White good! I still find it very confusing how Drew Lock fell out of the first round. I gotta say we dodged a bullet unless we draft him in the Second!

Question, do we have a over the top threat on the roster or do we need to draft one? ie D.K. Metcalf! Also please try the restaurant Tokio in Denver! It’s a cool and sleek late night Ramen place where I met Phil Milani!

After feeling a little bummed for the first round pick, I believe the Broncos got super lucky with Risner and Lock in the 2nd round! Both are not only good players but fill some needs. They are also considered best on the board or pretty close at those picks. I would have felt better seeing Lock in the 1st and Fant in the 2nd. But in the end Denver got their man. With Jones in the 3rd I am giving this draft an A-!!!!!

Wow, what a second day of the draft, with Lock being mocked to us in the first at 10 to get him with our third pick is remarkable (and slightly fortunate!). It also makes it clear this is Flacco’s team, if he had been drafted in the first there would have been that extra pressure that it is a QB competition. 3 of the 4 moves in rounds 1-3 are win now and in the future, and using our 3rd pick for to win in the future makes a lot more sense than a first round pick. And we have an extra 3rd rounder for next year! Draft so far A+ Elway is smashing it!

So question, why did Lock fall so far? Is there something we are missing on him as whilst he still needs development he seems to have the raw toolset any QB needy team would be enticed by…

Hey guys. Chip in Georgia. Been listening for a while and have been a member for a couple years now. This is my first time chiming in so I will try to keep it short. Two quick questions, 1. If Chris Harris doesn’t get a contract do you think he would sit out any gamest? 2. How many members of this draft class do you feel will be starting week 1? Let’s say the over/under is 2.5 players.

Hey guys I just realized what an impact you have had on me during this off-season. I was excited to say the least about the Broncos draft and I texted my brother about us getting Drew Lock and he said who is that and maybe a yr ago I would have said the same thing but I was thinking what do you mean isn’t he a house hold name but apparently hes not now I have been trying to get him to listen to the podcast but he only has a 7 min commute to work where as I have a 45 min commute so when you have a long podcast I can listen to it in two halves. Anyway you guys and Andre have me the most informed about the broncos that I have ever been, being from pa get to hear about the Steelers and eagles all of the time. So keep up the good work and I will have to get my bro a gift subscription so of he can be just as informed as I am. P.s. I listen to 3 different broncos pods when I am all caught up to you guys but I only would listen to you guys and Andre with about 3 weeks to go to the draft I didn’t want hear the BS coming from the other ones. Just wanna say I’m so excited about this yr and the future of the broncos. Go Broncos!

I have a few takes from the draft:

1) Give the Broncos a B+. I felt they didn’t reach for any player. When they traded back to pick 20, I felt like Elway didn’t know what he was going to do. I was a bit shocked they didn’t draft Bush when they had a need for an ILB. However I am happy with the pick of Fant and getting a few extra picks from the Steelers. Maybe they can find another diamond in the rough at LB.

2) What was Devin Bush wearing? At first I thought he had a sling around his arm/ shoulder but then saw the whole outfit… thank God we didn’t draft a guy that doesn’t know how to look sharp.

3) I am happy we got both Risner and Lock in the 2nd round. Getting Lock in the second gives me a feeling that he won’t have as much pressure on him to be the starter. He can learn how to be a professional and learn the offense better. Risner is just going to dominate.

4) Still laughing at the Raiders picks. Choosing a DT at pick 4 that probably should have been picked around the 20’s is just funny. The Raiders always reach and i just shake my head.

5) The KC Chiefs news. Now all we need is to have Kelce do something stupid.

If Denver was chosen to hold the Draft, where would you guys suggest to have it? I think Red Rocks is the premiere place.

Didn’t love the trade back, feel we got short changer despite what any draft value combobulater says otherwise. Loved the Fant pick though, we’ve been crying out for another weapon for ages. Risner AND Lock in the second? Are you kidding?! I imagine most teams had first round grades on all of those guys, so kudos to Elway and co. I didn’t want w QB before the fifth round but Lock falling to the second made too much sense. Cautiously optimistic heading into the new season with the Raiders’ bizarre picks, the Chiefs’ latest Hill revelations and the Chargers being perennial bottlers. Draft coverage has been sensational guys well done

I love our draft class. Would have done a few things differently in the later rounds, but I’m not gonna complain. What does the Broncos schedule have in store (and when) leading up to the pre-season. Thanks.

First off I want to say I am very happy with how the draft turned out. I believe if we didn’t get Fant he would have for sure went to another team or worse the Patriots. I’m excited to see him stretch the opposing defense, something that happened to us far too often last year.

My first question is: Why do you think Drew Lock fell so low? Just like Fant I also believed Lock would have been an awesome pick for the Patriots at pick 32 since they need some type of back up QB for when Tom Brady departs.

Last question, I’m not too familiar with the last picks in the Draft (Dre’Mont James, Justin Hollins, the Dekoda Watson trade, and Juwann Winfree) could you share what you know about these players and in what role you think they will find success as a Denver Bronco?

Interesting how Denver’s draft strategy under Elway has evolved. It appears we finally figured it out the last two years and are on the road too long term success. Imagine if Elway crushes it again next year!! Questions:

1) What was your favorite move & why?
2) Favorite UDFA signing?
3) Does not picking linebackers mean coach fangio likes what we have, or there were not any upgrades available when Bronco’s were picking?

Ok so I guess Elway figured out this whole draft thing.

I mean WOW, we finally got a TE that can stretch the middle of the field, miss match on the LB, and collapse the safeties.

Risner seems like a die hard Bronco fan that is a DOG. can you imagine what a leader this guy is going to be for our unit? I think he will be the glue between McGovern, Bolles, James, and Leary. You always need a unit leader and someone that sets the tone. He see him doing what Quenton Nelson did to the Colts O-line last year.

Drew Lock! My guy, this dude has Denver QB written all over him. I was trying really hard not to fall for him in the draft process because I did not want to be upset if we passed on him. But man to get him at 42… wow what steal.

Those three picks alone will be our building block on offense for years to come. Let’s not forget that Lindsey will continue to be the spark and leader as well. I do not think there could have been a better outcome.

Also, great job covering the draft fellas. No just Zac and Ryan, but the Draft Pod guys killed it!

The future on offense looks so bright right now and I am so freaking excited.
