Hey fellas! So last year was the first year I’ve ever followed football (I’m a big hockey fan, but last year I fell for football and basketball) and I was wondering what kind of team concept or scheme defines a Vance Joseph team, such as an emphasis on team speed? defense? or running? I’m not very familiar with team concepts in football, or if there is any? Please can you lay out VJ’s concepts, and how they may differ from other more successful teams from last year?

Also after listening to your 9-7 predictions, I wondered if we could become the Vikings of this year, given we have case, good wide receivers, good defense? Is it worth wondering if we could maybe actually go 11-5 ish? Or is that truly dependent on this years draff?

Unbelievable, starting off the pod by stomping all over the still warm corpse of the Avs season. I will try and overlook that fact to ask you my draft questions. Where will you guys be for the draft? Do you get to be in the actual “war room” at Dove Valley or do they lock all media up in their own room for the draft? Do the Broncos feed all the media members since the days are so long? Is it just three days of pizza bingeing or do they mix up the catering? Who all is in the room for the draft besides the obvious (Elway, Kubiak, Coaching/Scouting staff)? Give us the scoop for what goes down, how much advanced notice do the Broncos give you on draft pick insight? Is there usually some kind of media embargo on the info they feed you during the draft? Thanks for your coverage, looking forward to the draft! Go Avs, Go Broncos, Go BSN bar deals in Denver, and go BSN Denver, the best media coverage out there for your Denver Sports!

P.S. Be sure to ask the draft picks how their new teammates got their number to text them congratulations on becoming broncos.

Hey guys new sub from Iowa and I got a question that’s been on my mind since I started listening back in January. Last year’s draft wasn’t amazing and we had guys step up from almost out of nowhere, any guys on the roster that you could see doing that this coming year? Personally I have a feeling Stewart won’t be starting Strong safety for next season and Jake Butt could be a big surprise looking at Rudolphs production with Case (especially in the redzone).

Hey guys, new subscriber here! Love the pod, been loving the draft talk and my impatience is getting the best of me. But I can’t stop thinking about your conversation surrounding the locker room and “locker room guys” a few weeks ago. About how John elway has been potentially looking at the character of the players he has picked up in free agency. Clinton McDonald for example being connected to the Walter Payton award and being the buccaneers man of the year in 2017. Is it possible that John elway is factoring in character and locker room presence in pick number 5? If so which players fit that mold in your opinion? Thanks fellas!

Im trying not to be biased, but I think Denver squeezes out wins with the Steelers and one game with the Chiefs. Denver usually plays tough vs Pittsburg and Marcus Peters and Alex Smith were Denver’s kryptonite. Cravens can cover Kelce better than anyone else could have the past years. Not to mention, if Denver’s special teams should be better with the new STC and King having the biggest bombs since August 1945. Also, hopefully Denver’s entrance won’t be missing that turnstyle they found on the field standing next to Leary. I think they can squeeze in 2 more wins.

You don’t have to read this on the pod, but imagine this draft:
Trade back to Bills for 2 firsts and their second (or whatever a kings ransom is because buffalo HAS to move to get a qb they want). 3 qbs off the board and Denver can send 12 and a 3rd rounder (or whatever they need) to jump Miami and get Rosen (would be my guess the 1 qb leftover) and you have all the other picks. A pipe dream, but would be amazing!

This will be the first 5 picks if there aren’t any trades IMO (in my opinion)
1. Cleveland (Sam Darnold)
2. Giants (Bradley Chubb)
3. Jets (Baker Mayfield)
4. Cleveland (Barkley)
5. Broncos (Josh Rosen)

Hey guys I have a small request for tomorrows pod… can you rank this draft in comparison to let’s say the past 10 years – how good is this class in your opinion?
I know it’s hard to say without players actually playing in the NFL but I‘d like your take on that.

I’m on 9-7 myself at present.I do think we’ll split both the Chargers and the Chiefs though. That’s 9-7 without much hope holding on our running game and TE at present. If we pick up someone on day 1 or day 2 that improves our running game and Jake Butt lives up to some of his expectations, a few of the games I feel that could go either way, end up as W’s and we go 11-5 or better!

Something I saw interesting on our list of home games this year is the amount of young/newer quarterbacks that will be playing here. Basically, there will be Wilson, Rivers and Rothlisberger who are true veterans and Carr is still fairly new. All the other visiting teams will have either rookie or second/third year QBs playing. Should be interesting to see if these are truly going to be the next gen QBs to be playing in Denver.

Welcome to all of the new subscribers! You are definitely going to be pleased you did sign up. Don’t be afraid to chat with all of the other subscribers. Ryan and Zac don’t need all of the love! Hopefully the new chat forum will be created soon! (nudge nudge R & Z). Some of the more active are (and please forgive me if I don’t mention you) Spacebar (me!), Gun Gun (or Gunner), Brad from Phoenix (Burrito Brad or The Commish), JDFry (Draft King Jr….wants to be like Andre someday!), RyanClamon (the Lifetime Subscriber Winner), ManxBronco (The Man from Isle of Man), Noreik (The Scandinavian Bronco), Litvaski (the Foreign Language Bronco), and PaulieVavoom (the Bronco from Down Under) plus many many more who help keep Ryan and Zac (along with the rest of the BSN Denver crew) busy and getting paid!

Just seeing there is talk on NFL.com there may be talks of trading OT Erek Flowers. I know there is some bad juju surrounding him and the Giants, but what are your thoughts of him being traded to the Broncos for a late rounder? Could a new team help rejuvenate this (probably) still talented player? Does he compare to Watson?

ON SUA AND BROCK: I believe Brock has worn 22 in the past, so my guess is that C.J. getting cut opened up 22 and that is what spured the change. Sua just happens to be favored by the winds of fate.

This is fortunate for all Broncos fans because I see it more likely that sua carries out the sacred duty of #21 to snatch Crabtree’s chain wk3.
Still not likely but a man can dream, damn it!

I just gotta say that Bradley Chubb is a beast!! I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if we got him over Rosen or Mayfield. I think if we got him at 5 that would push or defence to the next level and give us a 10-6 record. As well as add a decent running back at around our 40 pick or trade a 4th and 40 to move up and get guice. Do you guys feel like a quarter back be it any of the top 4 would enhance the team as much as having another elite pass rusher or running back? I feel like keenum is enough for a win now push.

Hey guys, love the podcast. I was recently thinking about my favorite Bronco memories. One that stood out is from the 1987 AFC Championship Game against the Browns in Denver (The Fumble). I was 12 years old and was super lucky that I got invited to go to this game. During the pre-game festivities, there were a number of sky divers that were landing in the stadium. Many of them were carrying flags. There was a one sky diver carrying the Stars and Stripes, one with the Colorado State Flag, one with a Broncos Flag and one with a Cleveland Browns Flag. The guy carrying the Browns flag completely missed the stadium. I am sure this was planned and I have searched the internet to see if there is any mention of this. I can find nothing. With your access to Bronco staff, I was wondering if anybody there remembers this and can confirm that it was planned for the Browns flag to sail past the stadium. Also, I was wondering if you guys knew of any other subtle snubs the Broncos have given other visiting teams?
