(pronounced Ozzy)

Hey guys, first time commenter, new subscriber and long time listener. I love what I have been seeing from the Broncos the last 2 weeks and I have 1 question and one comment. I hear a lot of fans say the Broncos are winning in spite of VJ. I personally don’t believe there is such thing as a team winning in spite of anyone. Despite all of his faults, VJ deserves credit when it’s due. I am just curious of your thoughts on this. 2nd, I feel that the offense is becoming more creative. We used more misdirection in one game against the Steelers than I have all season. One thing that has annoyed me to tears though is how we seem to run a half back screen with every back on the roster other than Lindsay who seems prime for that sort of play. Hopefully we see some the rest of the season.

Thanks guys,

Auzzy

BLUF: I just like hearing my ideas on the “radio”
I have Lindsay in all of my fantasy leagues except for 1 where a guy beat me on the waiver line. He’s amazing, he is my flex player every single week. I think he is getting just about the right amount of carries. Yeah, he’s built, but guys with that small of a frame don’t usually last that long in the league. Remember when you were young and small and would fall down and bounce right back up? That’s what Lindsay reminds me of. Have you fallen recently? It hurts way more and takes way longer to get up.
Someone mentioned problems commenting on the app, I have also had these problems but if I refresh the page it usually works fine. Also, if you are going back and forth between apps while you’re commenting, make sure you copy your current comment progress because when you go back to the app it reloads and you lose your comment progress.
When I get paid Friday I will definitely be extending my subscription if the deal is still going, so you guys can look forward to many more of my long-winded comments.
This weekend the Broncos absolutely have to press the receivers at the line, I have said this every week but this week we are going up against John Ross and AJ Green (maybe). You HAVE to obstruct these guys’ routes. They absolutely can not let these guys go free off the line. I haven’t seen much of Jeff Driskel, but I would put money on him having a stronger arm than Keenum and just being able to hit those guys running deep routes.
You guys should add an interactive map showing where each subscriber is from to the website, It would be cool to visually see how far-reaching the BSN family is.

Hey guys, just wanted to jump in with a quick thought about VJ. I do agree that if the broncos get to 9 or 10 wins that Joseph will stick around, but I can’t stop fantasizing about what a Nagy/ McVay type of offensive coach could do with Philip Lindsay. Thanks and keep up the great work as always.

So close with the pronunciation! My bad for not providing a guide, so here it is: Buf pronounced like “buff,” stuf pronounced like “stuff.”

On to the question: When a running back is behind the line of scrimmage running for his life near the sideline, I always find myself thinking “Just throw it away!” It happens fairly often—a ball carrier is dead to rights but has a chance to toss the ball out of bounds before taking a loss. Why do they never do that? I realize they have to get the ball past the line of scrimmage, which makes it a tiny bit harder than just pitching it sideways. But still, even a RB can toss a ball five yards forwards. Why not avoid the loss??

If you haven’t heard it, Peter King had a GREAT interview with Lindsay on his podcast this week. Yes, I’m podcastly promiscuous. ?

Hey guys

Just a quick one to throw out there.

How annoyed would DT be if we got to the wildcard round and beat the Texans?

Top stuff as always, nice one!

Hey guys, first let me say I’ve had a lot of injuries over the years but I can confirm that for me, a broken rib was by far the most painful so I feel terrible for Heuerman. With that said, what do you see happening with Heuerman going forward? Is his he going to be a free agent this season or next? I became a fan in the pre season and if him and Jake Butt return next season I would be more excited about TEs than I have been since Julius Thomas. Do you think he has done enough to get an extention or will the Broncos move on? As always thanks for the podcast, it helps me stay excited even when the Broncos are playing poorly.

Logistical question here. I seem to recall that you guys paraphrase what coaches or players say at the presser (or read their comments verbatim) rather than playing an audio clip. Is that a production decision or are there rules on use of that audio you’re complying with. Just curious as on some occasions I’ve had to go look up the actual clip online for some that you’ve commented on (e.g. Musgrave’s colorful retort). Thanks and keep up the great work!

I’m also going to mention the Peter King interview with Lindsay. Is it realistic for you guys to have him on like you did with Plummer?

I’ve never wanted to talk to/hear from an athlete as much as I find myself wanting to with Lindsay. That interview with Peter King was phenomenal and King himself even said it was one of his favorite interviews he’s ever done. That’s got to be saying something. Phil’s story is an amazing one and I think the BSN family would love to hear him with you guys.

We saw two great performances from our O-Line last two weeks with tackles playing guard.

It gives us great pass protection over a better run blocking.

Is it possible that the team would put tackles backing up our guards and let Lindsay find his way upfield in case of emergency?

So, when I subscribed, I was driving so my wife did it for me. BIG mistake as she picked my name as my username! It will not allow me to change it. Please please please help me! My last name is cox so I really want to change my name to Harry Cox (I go by that a lot) so that way you have to read it like that EVERY time I comment (cue maniacal laugh).

Anyway, you guys mentioned the other day that you believe the team goes through Phil now. I would completely agree.l with that. For a while, it seemed like he was viewed as nothing more than a gadget player who can come in and occasionally recharge our team… he is no longer in the jumper cable role now. He is the battery. The team most DEFINITELY runs off of his energy. I am so excite to watch the leader he will be NEXT year and years to come when he is no longer a rookie. If Case is back next year, I still believe that Lindsay is the guy that everyone will look to in how to approach the game. He takes every second, minute, hour, snap, etc. 100% seriously. It is that mentality from the offense’s best player that we have been lacking since peyton. I believe that Phil IS the guy who we will look back on in the future as the guy who turned the broncos around in 2018-2019. Perhaps I’m a little too optimistic, but it is hard not to be when watching Phil. Go Broncos!

BadOne Log 9:

What is up my dudes! Great stories this week.

I wanted to say that thanks to this pod and the hype around Lindsey, I was the only person that drafted him in the last round of ALL my drafts. Now I am number #1 seed in all three leagues.

Do you guys see similairties between this Bengals team now with a raw QB and the Cardinals team we played earlier this year? Our pass rush seems to do great against young QBs because well… they get scared.

When we win this week I would like to volunteer as tribute and send a recording of the intro song, Thoughts?

Hey BSN Family,
Work has me a little behind in the podcast. But no worries just finished listening. Wanted to touch on the nickname topic. I am good with RC. I would like the BSN Family to help me with coming up with a nickname for me.

I have one quick question: what is Phillip Lindsay’s contract look like? Years? Dollars? Bonuses?

Thanks for all the hard work.
