Brad in Phoenix here … I convince my family to make the road trip to Flagstaff this coming Saturday, and it isn’t even the correct wrong-Doghouse?!?! I feel so used. So underutilized. So wasted. I am the Jamaal Charles of the breakfast burrito challenge. I will still take one for the team and go, but Spacebar, you will now be known as Question Mark to me.

Glad to hear Elway’s comments today about Wolfe, DT, Sanders and Butt. That sounds like the worst lawfirm, ever. Any sleeper candidates on a veteran FA QB or is it truly down to Cousins, McCarren or Keenum?

Haha! Thanks Brad. I am always down for news on a burrito! BUT it wasn’t me who made the assumption I was talking about the Doghouse in Flagstaff. All along I was talking about Dog House Tavern in Denver. That’s Ryan and Zac not going to the source for information before putting it out on the media! Shame fellas……Shame…..Shame (now I see the Game of Thrones moment….)

Bruce from Flagstaff here. I used to eat the breakfast burritos at the doghouse until they had a bad day and found a bunch of shells in one. Try Polibertos for all your burrito needs. Lol

It appears we have a bit of a #burritogate situation going on …

And I agree, Question Mark. Shame on Ryan and Zac… -bell ring- shame… -bell ring-… shame… -bell ring-

What’s happening guys it’s Travis from the Great White North (British Columbia Canada). Seems like you guys are giving your neighbor from the north the cold shoulder. I left a comment about CJ and Booker on the Thursday pod but must have been to late. I am under the impression that the broncos want to move away from CJ for some cap room, but do you guys think that Booker will be able to handle being the main back. Or are they planning on picking up one of the better backs in the draft and running a triple threat with Booker, Henderson and say Chubb or Guice. Thanks for putting on an awesome pod cast, have fun in Indy.

Hey Brandon & Zach,

I’m a new subscriber writing you guys from Copenhagen, Denmark. Love the pod and listen to to every weekday morning on my bike ride to work. Ryan, I also got to hand it to you, man. You found a good partner who seems to genuinely laugh at all your puns. Hope you’re paying Zac well for that.

Anyway, a simple question for you two: Do you think the Broncos may actually have an advantage over the Vikings in signing Kirk Cousins precisely because of Denver’s poor record last season? Meaning, if you are Kirk Cousins, wouldn’t you rather go a team that underperformed the previous year so the bar of expectations is low, rather than join a successful Vikings team where anything less than a Super Bowl appearance may be considered a disappointment? Of course, that’s assuming everything else is equal money-wise and that Kirk Cousins is wise enough never to join a cursed organization like the NY Jets. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks! – B Money

So….Here are some more thoughts…After reading the last couple of articles on BSN Denver (The Broncos’ target….through….A brutally honest John Elway) and listening to the podcast and reading an interesting article on Manziel….All great material (minus the Maniel piece…that was just ‘eh’ material)

1. This one is out in left field, but could the Broncos consider picking up Manziel “for free” for either a practice squad or back-up QB AND is the “for free” possible with the NFLPA? Now, I was never a Manziel follower so I don’t know what he had during college and his career with the Browns, but is his off field antics (even if he fixed himself) a big concern for the NFL owners?

2. Zac’s article (A brutally honest John Elway..) and Paulie’s article comments made for a great read. I agree with a lot of Paulie’s thoughts about Elway talking to other NFL teams about certain players. I can see Elway moving away from both Siemian AND Lynch if he got a decent deal for them. (As for Brock and a back-up QB, that is another thought). As for Thomas and Sanders, I can see Elway talking them both up to maybe trade one but NOT both. I think it could go either way for which one to keep. However, I don’t agree with Paulie about the Broncos making a RB a top priority. There are a few other more concerning positions to fix with a high draft pick.

3.The QB position. I agree with you guys that Denver may also be thinking outside of Cousins for their quarterback. All along you have sort of mention, and I have thought, Cousins is just too dang expensive to pick up without losing some major players on the Broncos team. I believed Denver would either pick up a Tier-2 QB (Keenum, McCarron, etc) or the Draft. Now, after reading your articles, I am starting to believe Denver is definitely looking for another QB in FA rather than the Draft. I don’t see Denver picking up Brock for another year, so what should Denver do for a back-up QB IF they trade away Siemian and Lynch? Do they pick up Manziel “for free” to see if he can bring his game back as a back-up or do they see if Chad Kelly picks up his game? Sooo many possibilities. I definitely don’t envy Elway at this time of year.

4. I think they will either use the No 5 pick on (almost) guaranteeing OG Quenton Nelson or moving down a little for some more draft capitol. With so little stardom in this year’s draft on the O-line, how can you not go for the best O-line player to help shore up your own spotty O-line? With going for a cheaper QB, then Denver may be able to go for Nate Solder, if he is medically cleared to play in 2018. No matter who you have at QB, he won’t be able to play at their best from their back on the ground.

5. Elway’s comment about the defense: “I don’t think our guys played to their ability on the defensive side” is soooo true. Denver’s D is still SB quality when they are on. They just need a kick in the *rear* to get their morale back up. To me, the only big hole is ILB and the run stop. Davis and Marshall both stepped up but they could still use some depth there. If they do move on from Talib, it would be a great loss, but as time is moving forward, that does seem to be the case.

6. As always, great information being put out by the BSN Denver Broncos team! Don’t feel the need to read this comment on the air. It was just me getting some thoughts out there. If you want to talk about it on the air, great, if not then just hit me back up as a reply.

GO BRONCOS!

Hi guys. Kieron here, brand new subscriber from the UK. Was firmly on the Baker Mayfield train, but after seeing and reading more about Lamar Jackson I would love to see us:
*Trade #5 with Buffalo for their 2 first round picks AND Tyrod Taylor (possibly throwing in a late round pick too)
*Pick Lamar Jackson with #21
*Best OL available (maybe Will Hernandez – loving the neck roll!)
*QB competition between the two, which will be win-win as if Jackson wins, fantastic; if Tyrod wins, Jackson can step up when he’s ready.

Of course, if Jackson goes before 21, we’re in trouble, so may need to trade back up to top 15 to make sure.

What are your thoughts? Who, apart from Jacksonville, will be the main competition for Jackson?

Loving your work: looking forward to next podcast and articles!

I don’t think Jacksonville will compete for him. They signed Blake Bortles to an extension.

Hey guys. Not a Broncos specific question today, but an AFC West one. I’m sure with you guys in Indy someone at BSN (maybe AJ?) is having to hold Andre back from Jon Gruden’s comments yesterday. What’s your take on Gruden dismissing the value of “data” and analytics in the Raider organization? Seems really silly that he wants to “throw it back to the good ol 1998,” but I suppose the Broncos did win the SuperBowl that year so maybe it’s not that bad of an idea for him.

COMBINE COVERAGE!

Okay, I know you guys have touched a bit on the drills and they’re importance (or lack there of) on potential draft grades. I was wondering what you guys thought about drills in relation to position. Like, which drill should each team pay attention to per position?

Thanks and keep crushing the coverage!

Only non Cousins QB is A.J. For me with Lamar Jackson as spec pic for upside and hope. I just want a QB that we are happy with. ? Bama homer so maybe blinded by A.J. But he is a competitor and passes the punch in the head test.
