Truly a sad, sad day in Broncos Country today. Thank you Ryan for sharing those thoughts on the horrible oversight that the “Hall of Fame” did to Mr. B’s legacy, they truly could have done this the right way, but now he’ll never get to experience that Gold Jacket that he so rightfully deserved.

What up, what up BSN Rockstars! In a small town called Magalia (Muh-Gail-yuh) California at 6:10 am pacific time on Friday June 14th I woke up and read that our beloved Broncos owner Pat Bowlen had passed on. I was born in 1992 and knew about Mr. B since our first super bowl win. My heart is broken.

I will always remember his fur coats and how he would walk down at the end of the game to be with the players on the field. He had so much class. My thoughts and prayers are extended to his family as well as Broncos Country. Beyond Football he was a savvy businessman and an overall great guy. Thank you Mr. B for all you’ve done and we won’t let you down as fans! Your legacy will live on through us and hopefully many, many more super bowl wins!

With that being said… I’ve been doing some thinking. We all know that Elway is extremely competitive and he doesn’t want to leave the Broncos in a bad situation once he moves on. He most likely wants to ride off into the sunset yet again with a Lombardi. So, I think the next few years should be a very exciting time for us fans. Think about it, Elway probably won’t leave until he wins another Championship. Well, then, we will probably see one very soon. Maybe I’m being too much of an optimist. But there are definitely reasons to get excited again Broncos Country.

Thanks for all you do BSN Rockstars and keep up the great work even through a tough time like this. Again RIP Mr. B.

That was a great tribute to a great owner, and hopefully Brittany can keep it going!

Brandon F’n Perna!!! He is my 3rd favorite dude in the Broncos media world! Next to you two of course! I am more excited about tuesdays podcast than the College World Series this weekend!

What would Pat love about the 2019 Broncos, and what is one thing you think he would want done differently? Or do you think that Elway is running things exactly as Pat would want it ran?

PS: Made my day when you compared Von Miller to a Razorback!

Hey guys, just wanted to pay respects to MR. B and say maybe you could name the fantasy team after him or have some sort of tribute to him. Thanks and the tribute was awesome!!

Hey guys, just wanted to thank you guys for the awesome tribute on Friday. Waking up to that news broke my heart. I obviously never Knew Pat, but everything I heard and seen pointed at him being such a genuine person. Not many owners in all of sports can compare to what he’s done and left behind, he’s going to be missed. RIP Mr.B.

Another note from the pod, one of my main hobbies is sports wagering. When you guys discussed SB odds, I kept yelling COLTS! Other then the patriots in the East, the colts are the only other team in the AFC projected to win there division by a wide margin. The books are essentially daring people to put money on the Jags,Titans, and Texans with the juice in your favor by a large margin(this is just to make the playoffs, not div. winner). At the moment the books are saying NE, KC, IND, CLE with the WC being LAC, PIT.

Lastly, I apologize for the long rant, but can I ask a favor? Anyway you can throw a shoutout once those Homegrown T’s get restocked? Been checking everyday ? Saving that code for myself and grabbing one for the lady!

Thanks again!

Rest In Peace, Pat Bowlen! As suggested by my good friend and fellow die-hard Bronco fan Aaron Kawaiaiea (Ka-vai-eye-a), we need an orange BSN shirt with a picture of Pat Bowlen holding up a Super Bowl trophy and the words “This one’s for Pat!!!” and the years of his life printed on it somewhere. Think that could happen?

I have to admit I was a little bummed the rest of my comment got skipped last episode but since it was to give Mr. Bowlen his proper respects it was worth it a million times over. RIP Pat and may your spirit forever reside in the hearts of Broncos Country.

I hope Ryan accepted my friendly apology and that you guys will find time for my Super Bowl story in another episode.

I’m super excited to hear your take on the top 10 broncos of all time and also to have Brandon Perna on the show! Great things coming on the best Broncos Podcast out there.

Question: a while back y’all talked about a steak seasoning named after Elway? Where do I get me some of this?

Also on board with the BSN golf shirts and a T-shirt with Bowlen holding up the Lombardi saying this ones for John, or vice versa, John holding it saying This ones for Pat! Which is better?

Broncos Question: I know it’s still too early in the off season to make a well educated prediction, but with what we’ve seen so far how do you see AFC West records at the seasons end?

I think the Broncos go 9-7 and maybe get a wildcard spot. 3-3 in the division,
Chargers 12-4 and 4-2 division
Chiefs fall after losing Hill and Hunt and go 10-6 3-3 division and Raiders go 6-10/7-9 at best with only 2-4 division.

Am I somewhere close? Thoughts?

Ugh, TLDR….. I’m so behind on everything working out here in “the sticks….” First off, RIP Pat, thanks for the memories. Now, back to business, This one’s for Koenigsberg!!! I hate because I care.

A few bullets from a mouth-breathing CSU Ram:

* RK, I demand your mother’s take on your lack of sportsmanship. If not, I blame Boulder.

* Regarding celebration, I’m in Camp Zac. Act like ya been there, which leads me to…

* Thanks to Steve_Atwater_HOF for making the connection between US Ladies soccer and NFL…
A recurring fictional moment in my mind, the night before Super Bowl 50: Cam is practicing dance moves in the mirror and trying on ridiculous Batman Villain outfits while PFM is reviewing film and playbooks.

* Regarding Negative RK and Mad Zac, I love it. If you’ve got hate in your heart, let it out.

*JanBino for President!!! I love that guy. Remember his first TD under Kubiak? He looked like he stole a chicken and the farmer was about to blast him with a shotgun. Both arms over the ball and high-stepping into the Promised Land!!

Much love to all, check out the Fantasy Footballers Podcast if you’re struggling for relevancy like me…

If you’re still reading, who’s the best CSU Ram/Bronco of all time NOT named Shaq?

Haha, good luck with that.

Great podcast guys, even in the sad circumstance. To hear great stories of the man. Ryan I agree with you that some people only buy a club for the status and fun. But people like Mr B are a rare few.

In the UK the amount of soccer club owners who just do it to show off is silly. You either support the team or try to make it a success. A Facebook group I belong to have suggested Pat Bowlen memorial/field @ mile high

I think a fun idea would be if you did a personal Mt. Rushmore for each position. (or at least the skill positions) you could even switch it up a little bit and do broncos only or all nfl, also could do your favorites or best over all players. I don’t know just something to have fun with. Love you guys Travo (Trav-Oh) out!

Just read this article in the Honolulu Star Advertiser on Pat Bowlen. Hawaii was his second home, and according to the article Pat Bowlen was extremely instrumental in keeping the Pro Bowl in Hawaii for so long, when several other owners thought it could make more money back in the mainland somewhere. Apparently, Bowlen’s trick was to make sure the Pro Bowl discussion was scheduled for the very end of the owner’s meetings, when everyone was tired from hours of negotiations on other topics. This way no one could be bothered to put up much of a fight and it got passed through fairly easily. Smart guy, that Pat Bowlen. Pat knew and argued that Hawaii was an important vacation location for the players and their families who had been separated from each other for so many months during the season. The source in the article opinions that if Pat were still alive and well the Pro Bowl would never left Hawaii, and from everything I read each year the players would prefer it here anyways. Thank you, Mr. B. Rest in Peace.

It’s been awhile since I commented so it may be a long post but I’ll try to keep it short.
1. I loved how you guys talked about following your dreams. That’s it takes great work ethic, integrity, and doing whatever it takes to fulfill your dreams. You guys help me with my dream by making my commutes for work more pleasant. I’m in the cannabis industry and have to always drive between San Diego, LA and Palm Springs each week. Some people ask how do I do it and it’s because of podcasts. I love how you do daily podcasts. I’m coming up on a year subscription and excited to renew it. I only listen to the podcast because I’m always in my car. I have only read about 5 articles this past year so when I heard you all talk about audio articles I got excited. Your articles are Amazing and excited to not miss any now I can hear it.
2. If mike munchek can work his magic on our o-line which line man do you see becoming a solid starter, become a pro bowl, be an all pro? Different player for each one.

4. Me and my co worker had a discussion about Pat Bowlen passing away. Both of us our bronco fans. At first I was a little upset that he didn’t last until the HoF game, but then we realized that maybe this is a way for him to really enjoy it. The last few years but he really wasn’t here with us. I don’t believe he would have understood what was going on , with now he can watch over the ceremony and the broncos forever! Pat will always be one of the greatest if not greatest owner in history ! RIP Pat!

We as Bronco fans have been so lucky to have had Mr. B as an owner. I so agree with Ryan and hope ownership stays in the Bowlen family. A new owner could be fine, but living in Washington, D.C., I have seen first hand how an owner can run a franchise into the ground. Under Jack Kent Cooke, the Redskins sold out every year and were a successful franchise. Now the stands are filled with fans from the opposing teams each week – nobody here wants to go anymore. In the 20 years that Snyder has owned the team, the Redskins have been to the playoffs only 5 times and lost every single one of those playoff games. Whatever happens in Denver, I hope we can keep the same dynamic that Mr. B installed. It’s what’s made being a Broncos fan so much fun all these years! We shouldn’t take it for granted.

First off, Rest In Peace mr Bowlen, you will definitely be missed. But a Brandon Perna appearance needs to happen at least once a week, that would be awesome. Anyway as a fun question, if the league were to start over in a fantasy draft style and Denver had the first pick, who are you taking? Would you focus on defense, pick a proven young star, or a quarterback to build your team around? Who would be on your ideal team with all of your picks after the other 31 teams? Can’t wait to hear your inputs on this

Zac, what the Broncos have done for Alzheimer’s Disease is just another thing that has made me feel closer to them, my point about trying to put more focus on it was meant to be at a national level. I am not sure if either of you have ever been to one of the Alzheimer Association walks, but man those leave an impression on you. I usually try and raise money as an independent but, I would be more than happy to donate if the BSN family came together, RK made a good point our money would go further.

Friday Mr. B was all over the sports channels, and most of it was positive, but I could help but cringe when Michael Wilbon stated that the only difference between Mr. Band Jerry Jones was that Mr. B was less lavish in his daily presentation…….I honestly took it personally. Mr. B changed the culture in Colorado, brought the NFL the single most important game of the week, Sunday night football, was the first ever to win 300 games in 30 years, and during his time had the 4th highest win percentage in ALL SPORTS. What did Jerry bring? Jerry world?? A copy of what Robert Kraft did years prior? The guys a joke, he ruined the Cowboys when he took over and they are just now returning to being average because he realized he is a terrible GM and stop controlling every aspect of the team.

RK you’re right the HOF really screwed this one up and there’s no way they can make up for it. I hope we come out in full force that weekend, to remind the HOF how badly they screwed up when all they can see is orange! Really excited to hear that speech!

ALSO love the idea of renaming the field after him, that would be cool. Don’t know how many hurdles would be in the way of doing that, but it really would be super cool.

Hey guys,
Tough week, specially for the family and friends of Pat. As mentioned many times before it is a devastating disease for the caretakers and I hope they can find peace quickly.
Broncos question.
How did you see Tim Patrick during this offseason? last year when Sanders got injured I thought he stepped up and made interesting plays specialy at “clutch” moments, and now it seems he might struggle to make the roster.

P.S. Thailand women soccer team scored a goal agains Sweden and all of the team were crying tears of joy. I felt goof for them

Much love

Hey RK and Z,

Been a while since I commented but I’ll try to keep it short.

1. Getting the news of Mr. B’s passing was a sad day for Broncos Country and for myself. I have been a die hard fan of the Broncos since watching Mr. B raise the Lombardi Trophy and exclaiming “This one’s for John!” Then years later watching this franchise come full circle when John raised the Lombardi Trophy saying “This one’s for Pat!” was absolutely exhilarating. I would not be as big a fan of this franchise had it not been for Mr. B founding Broncos Country and turning it into the greatest sports community in the world.

2. Mr. B should always be remembered for the man he was and what he did not only for Broncos Country but the NFL as well. I agree that it is a shame to the Hall of Fame that Mr. B never had the opportunity to wear the gold jacket while he was alive, but it is poetic that in the NFL’s 100 season celebration there is the induction of him and Champ into the hall of fame.
3.
4. To the point of a Pat Bowlen BSN shirt, I am all in for that! Anything us as fans can do to make it happen?
5. I am 100% on board with the audio stories and love hearing the articles read to me on my 45 minute commute (one way) to and from work everyday. Just another way for all of us to enjoy the great content that the BSN Family provides!
6. Keep it up with the amazing content! Much like Mr. B did, it is great to hear you guys continuing that legacy by making Broncos Country a great community through BSN’s work.
7.

Cheers!

Hey BSN family Andre from Mile High Brazil here.

Very sad about Mr. B loss! initialy i had a very long coment but i decided to be quick instead.

Once I heard that being a Broncos fan was way more than football, it was a way of life and that stayed in my memory. Thank you Mr. B, your mission on installing a mentality on the Denver Broncos is acomplished because that changed and i believe it will continue to change ways of life over the ocean like you did with me, you changed the life of people across the world, well done.

When i was doing my research on a team to support in NFL Mr. B had a heavy weight on my decision because of everything he made the Broncos represent, and i was one million percent sure that i made the right decision when i did the tour in our Mile High Stadium…that place smells victory, smells championship, great work ethic, serious work…I love my Broncos!

Well Thanks once again RK and Z keep up the great work you guys do and just like Mr. B you two are also able to change lives with your mic on
