You guys missed my comment yesterday. (No worries) so I’m just reposting it here. Thanks!
This will probably be a longer comment so my apologies right now.
I had a chance to go to the event today. The lines were long, but it was worth it. The class the event was carried out with was breathtaking. I am astonished the Broncos were able to put together a Pat Bowlen museum in four days. It was one of the coolest events I had been to. I got to meet former players and talk to them about their experiences with Pat. It was also really touching to meet and talk with the Bowlen family. My grandfather passed away from early onset frontal temporal dementia when I was 11. FTD is a specific form of dementia that is really aggressive, but impossible to detect until after death, so his initial diagnosis was Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s and all forms of dementia are incredibly painful diseases to both those that have the disease and their families. It’s an incredibly confusing and personal grief period. It was an amazing opportunity to talk and share my own grief with the family. I was blown away that they opened themselves up to the community in such a personal time of grief. It meant the world to me as someone who has been affected by the disease.
It was an amazing event down to the details. It was very cool to see all the memorabilia and the Lombardi’s in person.
Sorry if that bummed anyone out. I saw you guys from across the room but you were gone before I got a chance to say hi. Hope you guys enjoyed the event as much as I did.
One question for you guys. You both grew up in CO so I’m assuming you grew up Broncos fans. Being that covering the team is now your job how has that changed your ability to be a fan? Do you see the team as exclusively work (even if its a great job), or are you able to still find moments to just be a fan? I know traditionally as a reporter you’re “not supposed to be a fan”. Is that something you try to uphold, or do you feel things are different in today’s media market?
Thanks for all the coverage as always.

Loved having Brandon along on my afternoon commute, so thanks for setting that up RK!
Way too early roster question:
I think the safety position provides the most intriguing roster battle during the preseason. I don’t expect long answers to the following questions, simply pointing out interesting headlines.
Will Su’a Cravens finally live up to the hype?
Was Justin Simmons “down year” due to a lack of DB talent last year? Or was the previous season a fluke?
Will the coaches finally recognize Will Parks as a member of the Broncos?
Can Trey Marshal live up to his 5 star rating and find success at the NFL level?
Why did I forget Jamal Carter was drafted?
Most importantly, given Kareem Jackson’s versatility, how many Safeties do you think Denver will carry this year?
Which of these guys find themselves on the 53 man roster?
Justin Simmons (duh)
Will Parks
Shamarko Thomas
Su’a Cravens
Dymonte Thomas
Trey Marshal
Jamal Carter
Kareem Jackson (does he put someone out of a job)?

Hey guys, FOCO.OG here with a new name that’s less confusing. I’m posting my comment from last episode as it didn’t make the cut in the Brandon Perna pod. I wanna get my 2 cents in on the Adam Rank deal. First off I wanna point out that lots of NFL analysts on big networks get away with bold predictions early in the season and almost never take responsibility for them when they’re wrong 4 months later, primarily cause nobody remembers. Good morning football is one of my favorite football shows (on live tv) still not better than BSN Broncos Podcast. And they make bold predictions all the time and are never put on the spot when they’re wrong. Let’s not forget on the same show as the 2-14 broncos prediction, earlier Mark Sanchez predicted the Jets to go 13-3. Like absolutely not. These guys aren’t REALLY making honest predictions, they’re making good TV, getting people hyped up and angry so every broncos fan is watching their show when the broncos win their 3rd game to see if Adam will eat crow. Sorry to disappoint you. He won’t.
Anyway that’s my theory, I could be wrong and he could just be dumb. But regardless I think the broncos go .500+ too.
Having Brandon on was great! I was laughing 30 seconds into the show. Weekly is a little overzealous but monthly Perna visits should be on the table, you guys have great chemistry. Love the pods! Keep em coming.

I went through the video of Adam Rank’s predictions, based on all the other teams predictions he still had the Broncos going 2-14.

I never answered your question about a previous comment of mine a few pods back. The Tebow jersey was on clearance because he didn’t start until week 15, I think? Plus it was in a small town (20k people) sporting goods store. Adam Rank’s predictions shows just how annoying it was growing up in Illinois with Bears fans all around. Him predicting the Bears to go 16-0 is every Bears fan, EVERY YEAR. Which brings up another issue, why are they having such biased analysts on the NFL Network?
You guys also asked why I didn’t want the Raiders on Hard Knocks. I hate the Raiders and don’t want them getting any more attention than they already do. My fiance’s stepdad and his family are all Raiders fans and it’s all I ever hear about. He has giant decals all over his truck, exclusively raiders wardrobe, flags, house decor… it’s awful. My fiance and her sisters bought him some Raiders stuff for fathers day and I had to store it in my house for about a week, also awful. So the last thing I need is to hear more about the Raiders, especially if they happen to be decent this year.

Hello fellas.
I have been listening to the pod for a couple of years. That’s Good Sports and BSN are my goto spots for Broncos coverage. So then, you can imagine how excited I was to hear that Bradon would be joining the pod for an episode. I figured now was the best time to stop being a lurker and participate in the discussion.
I have a lot to cover for a first post and I will attempt to summarize it all without writing too much of a novel. Sorry for the length in advance.
Since there are too many rules to numbered lists here I have decided I will list each thing alphabetically by the name of my favorite Broncos players instead.
A for Atwater: My least favorite Jersey is the Cutler Jersey I was gifted by a Raiders fan as a joke shortly after he left Denver for Chicago. It hangs in the back of my closet, never touching the light of day. My favorite Jersey is my Official 2008 Pro Bowl Champ Bailey Jersey. I like it because its unique and I hardly ever see anyone else with one.
B is for Bowlen: R.I.P. Mr. B. This is all I can and will say about this right now.
C is for Chubb: I traveled to Nashville this year for the Draft. While it was a good time it was insane how many people were there. Zac mentioned hosting the Draft at Redrocks and after being knee deep in that crowd at Nashville I just don’t see how Redrocks could accommodate that many people. It’s an amazing venue for sure, but I think hosting the Draft there would do more harm than good.
D is for Davis: I’m with RK on the sportsmanship issue. Hear me out. What is more insulting to a team? Running up a score they cannot hope to stop and celebrate, or purposefully not playing up to your potential and “going easy” on the other team? If I was on the losing end of a game where the winning team wasn’t even putting in the effort I’d be much more upset. It’s the World Cup. Not Field Day in grade school where everyone gets a blue ribbon for being in the 3 legged race. Is that still a thing, or am I just really old?
E is for Elway: How do you get the Raiders out of your back yard? Install an Endzone.
That’s all for now. Thank you for continuing to put out amazing quality content every day. The subscription is money well spent.

On losing it and yelling at the TV during sports – I’ll probably never be “mature enough” to not vent emotions during sports. It’s not happening. Im fine if things end up nearly comical, like 55-10 and 43-8. You just shake your head and chuckle. But I always have and always will be the one yelling at the TV. I take my sports straight to the heart. It’s what makes the special moments unlike anything else. I can’t help it.
Knowing this about myself, I never watch my teams anywhere but at home or at a stadium or arena. I never watch at a friend’s or relative’s home. I’d watch at a sports bar if there were more than one or two in the whole LA/OC area, but.. (Ya know what’s weird? There are EIGHT Browns bars in the LA/OC area. Seriously?)

*One or two Broncos sports bars..

Just a quick comment. I have had a pedicure and its amazing. As a guy that has worked on his feet all day the majority of my life it helps so much. Got the idea from my defensive line coach when I played football. He compared it to getting a new set of tires. Once you get one I assure you that it will change your life.

The weekly Perna appearance was a joke!! I didn’t mean to come across as a spoiled listener, I was just excited. Another thing that’s a joke is the clown named Adam Rank and his prediction. 2-14? Come on my guy. He went through every game without even thinking about it. “You won’t beat the raiders, you won’t beat the bears, you won’t beat the packers, you won’t beat the jags.” If this actually happens, do we take a quarterback with the first pick? #Perna4Owner
domsiglow
Perna for owner was another joke, don’t take it wrong lol
The water taste test lived up to the hype. Nicely done! Even more excited for the hot pocket video. Ryan and Sac, will you go ham and cheese? Pepperoni? Meatball? This is a BIG decision.
Zac…sorry for the misspelling.
That's what She said
Have to admit, I am loving the comparison of Trevor Lawrence and John Paul Jones. TL is now, and forever, JPJ to me (insert heart emoji). You know it’s the off season when we begin to blend the Bachelorette and football! Yours is truly the best pod.
