I haven’t even listened to the podcast and I will already say NO to Daniel Jones at 10.

Man, am I glad you guys weren’t even considering Daniel Jones and it was Sports Illustrated. Just reading the title of the podcast made my heart skip a beat. I will be holding off on reading SI for a while since they don’t seem to have a clue as to worth. This author’s editor should have said to throw this mock draft in the shredder instead of being published. Their’s making guesses on the draft and then there is just “stupid”.

Guys, Tim Tams (you can find them at king soopers) are a kinda average wafer cookie. However, after you bite off the two corners and suck hot chocolate (what I’ve been told to use) through the wafer portion of the cookie…the inside melts and becomes a gooey chocolate deliciousness that is quite simply amazing. It’s an experience worth going out of your way for.
Seriously…buy them and try it. They’re fantastic!

Love the podcast, thanks for all your hard work.

Hi guys, in my rush to get the buzzer beater (beater) I forgot to mention that I cold brew the CBD coffee so I can simply pour over ice in the morning. Delicious and convenient.

I would also like to echo the sentiment that this pod helps me feel more connected with the team and has only made me more of a fanatic. Being a lone Broncos fan in a room full of Seahawks fans during Super Bowl 48 absolutely sucked.

In a lot of mocks I’m seeing Garrett Bradbury going at the end of the first, either to Chiefs or Rams who both have needs at center (and is a very good fit for the rams). Do you think trading back into the first for Bradbury is a worthy move (assuming we pick defense at 10) or does this limit options on day 2? What is your philosophy on trading up for interior offensive lineman?

Keep up the great work and much love.

Hey dudes,

In honor of rule change season, a) what rule change would you propose, and b) what RIDICULOUS rule change would you propose just to set the world on fire and watch it burn? For example, I would propose that the kick off could be kicked in either direction. Can you even imagine the chaos that would ensue from teams planning to receive/coverage from either direction LOL.

PS. I’m heading over from Knox to Nashville Thursday and Friday for the draft. I’d love to meet up with the BSN fam! NICHOLASMANNING, (and anyone else) hit me up and we can put a plan together : cdeshazo99@gmail.com We could meet at Martins BBQ, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Bearded Iris Brewery, or a zillion different bars downtown. Open to whatever.

This draft guy must have been straight from high school. Has he not done his studies on team draft needs?

To comment on a few things. The Broncos did have a throwback helmet recently. It was used as an alternate uniform on Thursday night Football. I thought it was cool. The 49ers have kinda gone back to an old school look of the 80’s as compared to their 2000 year look.

The last time you guys talked about a QB wowing people in training camp is no longer on the team. When you made the hypothetical argument about the Broncos picking Haskins and Haskins playing well against a stiff Denver defense, I just shook my head.

The one con I have heard about Isabella are has hands… they aren’t soft enough.

Thanks
Will

Great question, good way to weed out true leaders from those that just follow others in the pack. ?

Hey guys, as a St. Louis resident, I feel I need to try to explain the bagel thing. St Louis style bagels is a reference to a way you can get the bagels sliced at Panera Bread, which was originally called St Louis Bread Company, and you can get them sliced bread style at any Panera in the country. Thanks and keep up the great work.

So I think at 10 you want the top prospect of his position. As it’s trending, the only one of those worthy of the number 10 pick that’s going to be available is Hockenson. I haven’t been big on him but I can’t see him dropping past Green Bay at 12. Then I started thinking about how dangerous Green Bay would be with him as a weapon for Rodgers. I want that. I want an offensive weapon that’s going to put points on the board and be exciting. Over the past 10 years many defensive players have been stars but how many of them do you look at and go “awh man that guy could have been here”? It’s much harder for a defensive star to change games than a top 10 offensive weapon. Yeah, there’s offensive busts but those are usually over hyped receivers. If this Hockenson guy is such a “can’t miss” prospect like I’ve heard then I want him. I don’t want to be watching the Packers next year and think about what could have been.
Lots of maybe’s coming up but hear me out. Maybe “Vic’s guy” is already on the team. Maybe we haven’t heard much about Parks or Cravens at safety because he thinks one of those guys could play linebacker and zoom all over the field. Cravens at 224 and Parks at 208 would have to put on some more weight but there was talk last year of Cravens being that playmaking backer. Maybe Vance and Woods just didn’t know how to capitalize on their talents. Maybe, just maybe we don’t need that stud MLB in the draft this year and we can get an offensive weapon like Hockenson.

Challenging calls and no calls is going to change games. There are penalties on every play. Think how often Von is held. It’s 4th quarter, the opposing team converts a big 3rd and 18, Vic throws the challenge flag and says Von was held. The play is overturned, everyone is happy. Now imagine the tables are turned and Bolles has already had 2 holding penalties so the ref doesn’t want to call a third but now the opposing team throws the flag and now they have to call it. There’s going to be wins and losses decided on this. Smart coaches are going to use this challenge every week. This is a stupid kneejerk reaction to a bunch of crybaby Saints fans. There were multiple plays in that game that could have changed the outcome of the game, or maybe Sean Payton could manage his game clock and RUN THE BALL and kicked a game winning field goal. Instead their whole drive took like 10 seconds off the clock. Let the guys play and let the refs do their job. Sorry I’m not sorry for the long comments 😉

I’ve seen a mock draft where your man Andy Isabella goes to the Patriots in Round 3. Great fit, but it would suck big ones for the rest of the league.

Hello friends. Immersing myself in the draft, and since we have time, I want to propose a “worst case scenario.” Let’s say the draft falls: Murray, Bosa, Q Williams, Burns (my EDGE 2, but switch if you like someone better), White, J Williams (my top OT, again, switch if needed), Oliver, Allen (EDGE 3), and Hockenson, as your top 9. No one will trade with you, and Broncos say that Bush is a reach. What’s the pick? Every tackle remaining is a RT, Wilkins or Lawrence would be decent at DL, but no steal. The only “top ten” value (at least on my board) would be EDGE with Sweat, and I know consensus is not using 3 top 10 picks on one position (plus EDGE 4 with a top ten pick just seems sad). All the above is super unrealistic, but I subscribe to “prepare for the worst, hope for the best.” Thanks guys.

The more I hear about Ed Oliver, the more I like. Plus defensive tackles with two first names are usually pretty damn good. (Hello Aaron Donald). Anyway, if you could take one player from each of the AFC West teams, who ya got?

Quick input on the Ed Oliver “situation” as it was a big topic down here in Houston.

Major Applewhite was totally out of hand. He was upset that Oliver didn’t want to play and further his injury and hurt his draft stock.
So what he wore a coat.

The reason Ed Oliver flipped out was because Applewhite put his hands on Ed. When Oliver didn’t want to take off the jacket and told him “No”, Applewhite tried to forcefully take the jacket off of Oliver’s back. So he flipped out and cussed him out. As I probably would have done the same. No adult should put his hands on the players like that. Unacceptable.

This “event” also played a hand in UH firing Major Applewhite as well. It wasn’t the record, as we have had some respectable seasons of late.
He just wasn’t the nicest guy, he was incredibly rude and just an A-hole. Everyone on campus hates him basically. Bad hire IMO.

Anyway just wanted to clear that up. It’s all on video as well, I’m sure you can find it on YouTube.

March 30, 2019

Guys, do you think we’re overlooking another potential defensive lineman at 10 in this draft? Fangio said we need defensive linemen to be versatile. If Oliver is off the board, it feels like Rashan Gary could be a possibility for us at 10. He has a high ceiling and versatility that some great coaching could bring out in a big way.

It really feels like there are a lot of options for us at 10. Unless Elway and Co totally go off the rails, I think I’m gonna be happy with who we pick at 10. We have a lot of very good coaches, I trust them with this evaluation.

Thanks guys. Hope you had a great weekend.

What’s up fellow Broncos fanatics. I’m more excited for this season than I have been since PFM left. I can not wait until the draft and the start to the season. Let’s be honest, it’s been a little embarrassing the last few years. I’m out here in Chief’s country, and they seriously never shut up about Mahomes. If we almost beat them with the team we had last year, I think we’ll do well this year against them. It looks like we’re putting together a Mahomes-stopper defense – me likey.

This is a little off topic, and not about food; I just wanted to thank you guys for leaving politics out of your show. In a world where politics have seeped into virtually every area of entertainment possible, it’s so nice that you guys just talk football. I love listening to you guys and (no offense) I don’t care about your political leanings or opinions. 😉 I care about your football knowledge and opinions. You two have the best coverage of what I want to hear about , and none of the things I don’t. Keep it up! May the podcasting gods grant you long life and prosperity. lol

p.s. I can’t wait for the tap water challenge.

Hey Guys, I see that Demaryius Thomas’s legal case has been finalised and he has pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving. He released a statement following the case thanking the people of Colorado and saying that one day ‘we may meet again’. What do you make of this? Is there a path back to the Bronco’s roster for DT in 2019?

Okay so you guys to relax with being sus on the Tim Tam Slam. Gee, i may need to send some Tim Tams to you guys. It is literally one of the greatest things you can eat/drink on a cold night.
Also the best way to eat vegemite is by the spoon. Don’t think, just trust lol.

Just sent my brother in law a Nolan shirt from the competition, thank you for that! Hopefully he gets hooked on BSN

I can’t believe no one has suggested the Danger Zone for the name of the defense. The past few weeks everyone has been saying how dangerous it would be if the Broncos draft Ed Oliver or one of the Devins.

Hey boys, I gotta get in on this coffee talk. Have you heard of bulletproof coffee? RK you would love it since yer doing Keto. Its basically just coffee blended with coconut oil and clarified butter, the oils bind to the caffeine in the coffee in some super scientific way and it acts as an extended release for the caffeine and is supposed to help with cognition. Tastes super good too.

Football question: what kind of information can we expect to come out from the Broncos having workouts tomorrow???

Much love yall
