Hey guys, I just wanted to correct a mistake on my last comment last week. I said I had a vibe we were going to get Devin White but that I would be ok with Haskins or Jones. I meant to say Lock instead of Jones and was horrified when I heard my mistake. I was at work when I was commenting, so I was trying to be quick. I just wanted to clear the air and get rid of any bad ju ju before the draft.

Also, do you think Elways comment about Chris Harris today was his attempt to have some control in negotiations? He really made it seem like he could walk away from a deal with Chris. If he let’s Chris walk, is he not really in win now mode? Is he really thinking about the future, and does that mean QB is on the docket in round 1?

Sorry for the long comment, love the pod, I look forward to it every day!

Sorry guys, you can find the Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe in Walt Disney World (WDW)
It is huge and filled with bananas and the syrup has a mangocitrus flavor

Loved Elway´s cockyness and self-confidence when a reporter asked about the Broncos drafting Tommy Maddox while he was there. It was amazing

Hello fine fellows. I was a couple pods behind so this first comment is from Monday’s pod. The comment about shin splints and stretching out the muscle that lifts the foot (dorsiflexion) is called the Tibialis Anterior. Finally, my thousands of dollars worth of education has paid off. Also, it’s awesome to hear that Zac was a remote scout. Thanks for talking about that a bit.

Secondly, drafting at 10 is like a 7 minute soak. You’re going to be soaking your cereal either way and drafting a QB is comparable to Grape Nuts – it only gets better. Passing up on a future QB (if available) is comparable to Original Cheerios – you’ll sit there starving, stair at it, and then decide that you made a horrible egregious mistake and settle for those carrots instead. Just my take. I’m hoping for Lock or Haskins. Either one will do.

Lastly, I am thrilled with all of the love for other Colorado sports teams right now. It’s a super exciting time to be a Denver fan #GoAvsGo

Keep up the good work, gents.

Now that Patrick Peterson is a disaffected Cardinal, put on your John Elway hats and consider this:

Pick number 10 and Chris Harris for Peterson and Josh Rosen.

Are you in?

There it is.. 8pm on Tuesday Strap throws down the ultimatum. All because Elway is “To busy” for the 2nd best player on his team..

I want Elway gone.. Where is that petition..

Not sorry for that. Besides my ever growin hate for Elway..

I am team RK. Haskins is the truth. I think he is the best “QB” in the draft. Kyler is a far more dynamic player and should be 1 overall, but Haskins is my guy.

Biscuits and gravy are the best breakfast bread and it’s not close.

Okay with CHJ all but gone. What do you feel his trade value is? Late first with say the colts at 26? Early second with the jets? I love CHJ but I love the broncos first and I want to see him lose a bunch of football games wherever he goes.

My draft excitement has been tainted by CHJ mourning. Will fangios system cover up yiadom at 3rd corner better than VJs did with robey? Or does it have to be addressed in the first couple rounds?

Could Denver send CHJ to Arizona plus 10 and 41 for 1 overall?

Hey guys thanks for keeping me sane during this offseason, my head literally wants to explode when I look at social media! It Makes me sick to think we could be seeing Chris locking down wide receivers for another team??‍♂️ With that being said doesn’t he have to play for us this year? I see he requested a trade if his contract is not giving him more money. Can you shed some light on how this works? Also smoke screen season is cloudier than ever, I haven’t been this undecided on who I thought broncos could take. I saw all your and zac’s tweets, is there any developments on who Denver May be leaning towards or is it still tight lips? Thank guys ?? from Pennsylvania! #team2hole

Also heard john say they want 4 quarterbacks in training camp, and after seeing joe Flacco get ripped apart by kiko Alonso a few years ago (scary hit) I’m nervous on who we have as back up QB, that has to play a role in this draft doesn’t it!? I’ve been getting hyped after hearing zac’s talks about his family conversations and how qb makes sense in the first round. Sorry i added to the already long comment, just had to see what you guys thought?

I’m more pissed at Elway for letting the CHJ situation get to this point. He gave up his huge contract for a chance at the Super Bowl and Elway is taking advantage. Why didn’t he just pay the man?

Legit, I could see him go to LA for the 31st pick and I could see them paying him a 3 year/$42M deal.

Gents,

Still think trading back from ten to mid/late teens is best unless a premier player drops. I don’t see teams giving up much compensation for CHJ- he is 30, wants 15 Million a year, etc.- at best he could be part of a package to move up from 41. The more picks we have from 20-50 the better we will be for the long term. Which teams do you think would be willing to pull the trigger for Strap? Would have to be someone ready to compete for a Super Bowl now, with cap space….Colts, Rams?

You stay classy.

First, “tradeforrosen” just commented that we shouldn’t trade for Rosen. That’s like me saying “nah, I’ll pass on the nachos, do you have a nice Cobb salad?”

Second, I don’t understand this feeling that if we draft a QB, all of the off-season moves don’t make sense. Why can’t we do both, play for now but also prepare for the future? Sure, I put money in my index funds for retirement (minor flex) but I also bought a ticket to Super Bowl 50 because it’s the fricken super bowl , which is a total win now move (major flex). Starting Flacco with a great defense while still putting a little money in our retirement by getting a QB seems to be a sound strategy.

Third, fricken Chris Harris Jr. I mean, I get it, but dayyyuuummmm.

Second to last in relevance but first in your hearts…

Excellent nacho take. I was going to comment about Strap but it looks like that’s mostly covered in other comments. But any chance he could be part of a move to #2?

I’m struggling to see Elway drafting another QB high. I believe he is fully in on Flacco, wants to win another Super Bowl then ride off into the sunset leaving the next GM to get their franchise QB. I’ve thought this for a while, and his presser did nothing to change it. This scares me.

Ryan, well done on asking the question of the presser, it was very well worded and got a great response.

I maybe in the minority on this but I’m with Elway on Chris Harris’ contract. He signed it, so should be unhappy with himself and his agent, not the Broncos. I also can’t see making demands and request as not the way to get what you want from Elway.

Draft prediction, I think a trade back is going to happen. Their guys at #10 gone and a trade goes down to move back and not reach on anyone.

Looking forward to all your draft content. I may not comment regularly, but listen everday. First podcast in the morning and hate starting the day without you guys.

Hey brothers, I wanted to ask about what drafting 2 ILBs would mean for Jewell and Davis. Let’s say we get White and Hanks in the draft, does that mean Davids or Jewell would likely be on the way out? I’ve always liked Todd, and Josey was one of my favorite players in the draft last year. I’d love it if Jewell could earn a starting role this year and I think he could be a pretty great coverage backer under vic’s tutelage. I know he doesn’t have near the athleticism as the Devins or Hanks but I thought that coverage was one of his strengths coming out of Iowa. I also think he would excel in Vic’s system of more zone and running downhill based off his intelligence of the game. But the number one thing that has me convinced of Jewell is Von Millers endorsement. To me that speaks volumes about the kid.

Also so stoked for the draft tomorrow, no matter what happens. It is going to be soooo interesting.

Thanks for the hard work bros, much love.

Here’s what I don’t like about the NFL, I understand that they are wanting to get paid what they deserve, and I get it, but you signed a contract. In my opinion, you should have to play out that contract or owe a ton of money before you can just decide you want out or even more money. I’m only 20 and I already know that’s not how the world works. If you sign a lease for a year, you can’t just go to the landlord six months later and demand a cheaper rent. I just don’t get it. I love Chris Harris, and I dread the thought of having to see him go, but I hate when players do this. I understand it’s the way of the league now, but I don’t like it. That’s all, I’m sure there’s a hundred Chris Harris comments, so I look forward to listening. Push through, fellas! Thanks for your hard work!

Hey Guys, I know much of Broncos Country is hoping Denver land an Al Wilson or Wesley Woodward 2.0 by drafting one of the Devins. However, I would much rather have a Ryan Clady 2.0. This draft has an elite pass blocking tackle whose athleticism will also make him a perfect fit in our new run blocking scheme.

Andre Dillard out of Washington State is an athletic freak. His combine results put him in the 96th percentile of O-lineman SPARQ scores but his production was just as impressive. PFF gave him their highest pass protection grade in the country with a 94 last season and he had over 700 pass blocking snaps and grades above 90 in all 3 seasons at Wazzou. I really hope we capitalize on having Munchak. He likely could turn Bolles into an average starting left tackle but I’d use the 10 pick to give him a player he can turn into an all-pro.

RK, having watched plenty of PAC 12 football I’d be curious of your opinion on the competition Dillard faced and if you think Bolles could shift to the Billy Turner role of starting guard/swing tackle.

Hey guys Zack from MS here. It’s been a long time since I’ve commented but with the bombshell news that Chris has demanded a trade or a new contract, what does this mean for the draft tomorrow? I believe that Chris Harris has put John Elway in a tough position by putting his future plans in doubt. That being said do you think this news will alter Elways plan and possibly change his pick at 10 or cause a trade up involving Chris and a couple of picks? Tin foil hat moment here as well, do you think this could be a plan between Chris and John to throw even more doubt on Denver’s pick and open up even more options for the Broncos? I lean towards the first take but would be interested in what your opinion could be? Thank you for your great coverage and amazing work you guys do!! Hopefully I’ll get the buzzer beater today as well thanks guys!!

On this draft eve, I’d like to know who are the players we’re hoping and praying *don’t* go to our dreaded rivals in the first? Oakland at 4, 24, and 27- the chargers at 28, and the pats at 32?

And my gut feeling 24 hours out is that Devin Bush is the guy at 10 for us.

Unpopular opinion on Chris. The question we have to ask is: Would NE pay a 30 year old player who’s coming off IR (although not a serious injury, he did play in the pro-bowl) top money for his position? No they wouldn’t. I say call his bluff, he plays this year at current rate, let him walk next offseason get the comp pick and move on. Just because he’s a fan favorite doesn’t change how to build a successful team.
Thanks guys, you two rock.

Hey guys

The Elway/CHJ news is a blow, as I hoped he would be a Bronco for life, but now I see a draft day trade. Much as I love Chris I could get behind picking up a Devin at 10 and, if Haskins drops to the twenties, a trade with someone like the Colts for 41 and Chris (maybe even a late rounder to sweeten the deal) to moving back into the first and nab Haskins. Only a day to go now!

PS we have cinnamon golden grahams in the UK I think they are called curiously cinnamon and they are awesome. My favourite cereal at the moment is a cereal called Krave, little wheat pillow shapes filled with hazelnut chocolate (basically nutella). There is also a version where you get three different fillings, hazelnut, milk chocolate and white chocolate, heaven!

Whoops! Sorry for the double comment but i just realized that this is the last time we will get to comment before the draft so I’m gonna call my shot at what I think will happen in the picks leading to the Broncos pick at ten. I guess that’d be a ten pick mock draft, ok her it goes:

1) Arizona Cardinals- Kyler Murray. ..Duh
2) San Fran- Nick Bosa…Also Duh
3) NY Jets-Josh Allen
4) Oakland Raiders- Quinnen Williams
5) Tampa Bay Bucs- Devin White :'(
6) NY Giants- Dwayne Haskins
7) Jacksonville Jaguars- Ed Oliver
8) Detroit Lions- Montez Sweat
9) Oakland Raiders via trade with the Buffalo Bills- Drew Lock…Buffalo gets a haul with this trade and Jon Gruden gets to jump the Broncos, breaking Elways heart and grabbing his guy.
10) Denver Broncos- Jonah Williams…I think this pick makes a lot of sense for the Broncos, especially considering how the board fell. There could be a trade back scenario with maybe the Redskins trying to get Jones but I just couldn’t mock that. Williams can come in right away and upgrade the right guard spot and he could be the solution at left tackle when Bolles refuses Munch’s coaching this year and continues to hold on 99.2% of the Broncos offensive plays.

Thanks for taking the time to read these Zac, as I know Ryan wanted to breeze through them to avoid a 2 hour pod, lol. I’m interested to hear what you guys think, feel free to absolutely destroy this mock that I poured my blood sweat and tears into, I can take it. (I’m just kidding this took me like 2 minutes)

For reals though you guys are the best, thanks for making my walk to school bearable every day I appreciate you.
