With the amount of subscribers and comments you guys are getting you’re going to have to start doing daily, or even multiple daily podcasts to keep up with the demand. Zac said something about the Broncos needing to pull out all their trick plays and I think it would be a perfect time to bring back that flea flicker from the preseason. Also some sort of fake end around where Sanders throws a deep pass to Sutton would be kind of cool. Oh wait, they already showed that off against the 1-5 CARDINALS… what a waste. Andy Reid hates the Broncos with a passion. What other coach would go for it on 4th down twice early in the game, one of which was deep in their own territory. You think the Broncos are going to do some trick plays, just wait to see what Andy has dialed up. He enjoys embarrassing the Broncos more than jelly doughnuts. Since there’s no word limit on these comments, I have one more idea to run past you guys. Listening to one of The Fan shows they mentioned turning Shane Ray into an inside linebacker. I think it would be awesome to have a bigger, stronger athlete in the middle than Brandon Marshall who could also pass rush and mix it up a bit. Plus each week he is looking more and more affordable to resign in the off season and I really don’t want to see him on the Chiefs.

1. I know all of Denver media is obsessed with Justin Simmons(only because he runs fast and jumps high and is a nice guy) but the boy is soft as butter. He is a huge liability in the middle of the field he is scared of tackling. It is actually quite very obvious, he continually gets bullied every game. Making a meaningless INT shouldn’t hide that fact.
2. The repeated holding calls by the o-line is the literal death of me. Anytime we run the ball past 15yrds I know it’s coming back before the play even ends that’s how bad it is. And Bolles is a hot bag of stinking garbage, looks like he gives up when Dee Ford blows pat him.
3. Bill Musgrave again!!! Just can’t help himself. Why TF are you running a jet sweep on 3rd & 2?! And a Flea Flicker when we’re in desperation mode while we’re running the ball well?!?
HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE.
4. PSA for VJ, holding your hips and throwing your hands in the air for the all mighty Lord when we have a bad play or penalty won’t have your players respect you. You’re the head coach and need to grab the team by the damn balls and lead your men like a head coach should.
5. Why in the San Hell is Todd Davis lined up in coverage on Sammy Watkins, he will lose every damn time!!!! EVERY TIME.

I could go on but ima stop while I’m ahead. Rant over.

Maybe in 2019……. GO BRONCOS!!!

Bad tackling, careless turnovers, and ATROCIOUS offensive line play costs us another game. It’s like my baseball coach used to tell us, “Same $#it, different day”. I know the season is a long shot at this point, but what is something(s), in your eyes, that we can do to salvage this season?

Hey guys I’ve been quiet for some time because I wanted to watch the team develop over the first 8 weeks. Right now after the KC game I made out three major flaws of this team:
First there is QB play and I believe that we all agree that Case is not the one we all hoped for.
Second this team lacks in consistency not even from one week to another but within 60 minutes week after week after week.
Third one is discipline and penalties or you might say self destruction at its best.
What do you think about that? Have I missed something? And what are the reasons for those two last flaws mentioned?
Big up from Germany to BSN country. I must say those questions over the last month were on point (as well as those answers). As always keep it up.

Can we bench Bolles and the entire OL. This is flat out poor football. They took away 4 20+yard plays. I’m so sick of watching us beat ourselves. I would rather be blown out. But oh well. Just have to move on and hopefully get a QB that won’t turn the ball over. Love Keenum as a person but sick of watching the ball being turned over! We need a coach that does that is fiery and gets in players face. We are soft.

Lindsey is awesome.

LET THE FIRE SALE BEGIN! EVERYTHING MUST GO! WE ARE SLASHING PRICES! SLIGHTLY USED COACHES? WE GOT EM! SUBPAR OFFENSIVE LINEMEN? THEY CAN BE YOURS FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR! HURRY DOWN! SALE ENDS ON OCTOBER 30TH SO GET EM WHILE THEY ARE LUKE WARM… Like a Hot Pocket that has not been cooked long enough.

Roby is not a #2 CB.

A flea Flicker INT is not something you see every day. At least Keenum is consistent. Consistently bad at ball protection that is.

8 more weeks of this? I want to continue to care, but after last season and now this? I’m ready for the offseason.

I know everyone is fuming over the game. It definitely hurts but what I see is a team right in there against some tough teams. We are 3-5 without 2 against the chiefs.. close, rams played them tough which I mean feels like it just takes a turn of the corner to win games. Halfway through the season we I’m not going to ride the negative train until at least we are all the way out of contention. Keep fighting the good fight.

It’s a mixture of emotions for me. I am thrilled with the way certain young players have played all season (Lindsay, Sutton, Chubb especially). It’s crazy we come so close against these stellar teams despite all the mistakes make. However, mistakes have killed us more than anything all year. This game was a prime example of it—penalties penalties penalties, fumble, more penalties, pick. If we cleaned up even half of this garbage we might be able to show our skill. For me personally it comes down to discipline and while Vance is a friendly guy, he needs to lay down the law. But as you guys have said before he is a players coach first. It’s just not working.
Even through all this I am still hopeful we can get this thing turned around somehow. Go Broncos

Hey guys!

Just wanted to touch base real quick on the Hot Pocket situation! Zac! I CANT BELIEVE YOU’VE NEVER HAD A HOT POCKET! Hopefully Ryan hooked it up!

Anyway a few thoughts,

1.) Obviously their were some questionable calls but, flat out our oline is Undisciplined! It’s hard to pin what’s worse, our pass blocking or Keenums pass progressions. Without those unnecessary penalties that stymied the offensive momentum, we would probably would of had the W. Who’s responsibility is it directly to hold accountability for the oline? Vance or Chris and Sean or maybe Case?

2.) I really think we could be a dangerous team in the future if we can nail one of those prime QBs in the draft!

Thanks for the fantastic coverage as always. ?

Hey guys, if we had an above average qb we would be 5-3 or 6-2 with a below average qb (keanum) this is what we get, we get what we paid for, the onley brigth spot for the team is the rookie class
Thanks for all the terrific work you do and the long podcasts

Despite keeping close this is a depressing loss. Keenum keeps hurting the team and now no Kelly behind him. What is the new run to pass ratio you want to see?

Is 90% run too low?

A little explanation on my name — I am an avid Broncos and Duke BB fan (Orange and Blue and Blue Devils). Which leads to my first comment, it matters who your coach is. Next time, I hope we go for a brilliant football mind as head coach — it sure makes things a lot more fun. Second, I know everyone is down in the dumps after today’s KC loss, but 3 of our 5 losses are against the Chiefs and the Rams and, aside from penalties, we were respectable against both of those teams. We were hanging with Baltimore until one of our most effective players was tossed and I really think that impacted the game. I don’t think we’re a bad team – I think we are a pretty good team that got a very hard schedule. I love the podcast — unlike the Broncos, the two of you are an excellent team!

OK lots to vent about. There are 2 things about this season that are driving me absolutely nuts. One I’m sick of everyone blaming Case for all the offensive problems. He has had issues but most of the mistakes have come under duress. We have a serious issue with pass protection. Most of our pass pro issues are connected to my second problem. OUR COACHING SUCKS. We run the ball really well so what do we do on 3rd and 2 a reverse of course. Since we don’t pass pro well, why don’t we run, run, run, then play action which is what Case has had success with his whole career. This puts both Case and the O-line in a position to succeed, to do what they do well. it’s not just the play calling it’s the whole game plan in general. This is why I blame Vance. Also the sloppy play, avalanches of penalties every game, taunting penalties, poor effortless tackling, snatching chains off of opposing players causing bench clearing brawls, etc.. These are just the tip of the undisciplined iceberg that the Denver Broncos have become. Sure it would be nice to have a couple of linemen and a corner, but every team has holes and weaknesses. This is what coaches are for, to put our above average talented team into situations that they can win. To create match-ups that our players can take advantage of not be taken advantage of. This makes me throw up a little to say but New England always has holes, granted Tom Brady cures a lot of ills but they have weaknesses and holes on both sides of the ball, but they plot and game plan so as to not let you exploit those problems and to take advantage of your flaws. No team is perfect that’s why we have coaches, to hide those imperfections, our coaching puts our flaws on display and puts our players in situations where they are not in the best position to use their strengths to get the advantage. Thanks for allowing me to vent. My question is do you think there is any way that some of these things can be fixed with Vance still here? Because I don’t think it’s possible.

This team is an enigma. We could be 1-7, or 6-2. The Jets loss is the only one the final score says we were never in. We’ve kept it close against the Rams and the Chiefs, twice. I don’t know if the glass is half empty or half full!

Another week, another frustrating loss for Denver. I know you guys have addressed how firing Vance is not the answer right now because, unfortunately, there really isn’t anyone who has looked competent enough to replace him. That being said, do you really think he’ll last the season? It’s obvious that the players have had about enough of this and I can’t imagine the leaders in the locker room can still take him seriously. WE HAVEN’T WON A ROAD GAME ON A SUNDAY WITH VJ AS HEAD COACH!! Our only road wins were on Thursdays against an AWFUL 2017 Colts team and an AWFUL 2018 Cardinals team. He is not the answer for Denver. He was never the answer for Denver. The only shred of consistency for the Broncos has been special teams so what about promoting Tom McMahon to head coach after we lose to the Texans; who btw are currently riding a five game win streak.

Through 8 weeks, Keenum has thrown 10 TDs/10 INTs. But its sorta a tale of two halves. Through the first four weeks, he was awful with 3 TDs and 6 INTs. In the last four weeks, he’s thrown 7 TDs and 4 INTs. Do you think we’ll see more continued improvement for Keenum as he grows familiar with the offense? How well does he have to do in the second half of the season to give Broncos Country hope going into the 2019 season?

*accidentally posted in the last pod*
The game turned out pretty much exactly like anyone would expect… Poor play-calling, lack of discipline, disgusting officiating and everyone is missing that spark. Unless we win 8 games straight, this season is a complete bust and anything other than tanking at this point is only doing what the 2017/2018 Broncos do best… shooting themselves in the foot.

They looked every bit as average as ever. The one thing that I can’t let go of is that I don’t trust Case when he’s on the field. If we have the ball, every time he drops back I get anxious because I know he’s going to be sacked, intercepted or overthrow the ball. Every completion honestly is just a sigh of relief. This game doesn’t fall squarely on his shoulders at all, but the Broncos don’t have a fire under them and until Joseph and Keenum are gone, I don’t think we can right this ship. Help ease this tension please. One last thing; do I buy my Lindsay jersey now or do I wait?
