Hey Ryan and Zac,
Should we be concerned with Demarcus Walker being inactive week after week? I read a quote from VJ saying something about the 4 OLB ahead of him being better at special teams. I thought we were over the edge LB designation for walker and playing him exclusively at DE. Thoughts?

I think it’s safe to say that the two most important players on the broncos offense through two weeks this season are Keenum and Lindsay? How unique do yo think it is to have an offense being led by not just one, but TWO guys who started their career as undrafted free agents out of college? Add Chris Harris and Shaq Barret to the group, and would it be a fair claim to make that the Broncos are getting the most production out of college UFA’s in the league right now?

Hey guys this comment was from Friday but I think it got lost due to me posting it too late haha. Anyway I still think it’d be a topic I’d like yalls opinion on!
Hey guys Zack from the great state of Mississippi here. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a question because y’all cover everything so well! I’m On my way back from a week long vacation to the Ozarks and I’ve been catching up on this past week’s pods. Quick question, with the emergence of the running back duo between Lindsey and freeman (I know what order I placed their names in but it’s what it looks like to me haha), do you see this duo being comparable to what the saints had last year? Thanks and once again y’all have the best bronco coverage I could ever ask for! Now who’s ready to whip the Brokeland Raiders? GO BRONCOS!!

Thanks for all the love on the pod today guys! Loved your answers to my questions. We will definitely know where we stand after wk 4.
In response to the hang loose… it is also known as a “Shaka” in Hawaii. Sāmoans are very fond of it too. ?

Hey fellas,
Hello from Southern California. Loving the podcast – I feel like a real Broncos insider. As painful as the past two years have been, do you think that last year had to happen in order for some of the positive changes that we have seen this year? For example – If Siemian was serviceable and the Broncos improved to 7-9 or 8-8, then perhaps the Broncos stick with him and Paxton and we continue to have a QB controversy this year and never try to sign a free agent QB. If the draft class last year performed better, then perhaps Elway and company don’t change their draft strategy and continue to whiff on projects and athletes. I feel as though there have been some fundamental direction changes within the organization, including bringing Kubiak back into the fold, that will help start a positive next number of years. Keep up the great work.
Thanks,
Jeremiah (Polish Filipino)
Mr. T
Hey BSNers! Mr. T here (that’s Mis-ter Tee, jk). I’ve got a lot, so I’ll try to be brief:
-First, Zac, I appreciate your wardrobe policing. Ryan, if you need any more red shirts for next week just give us a shout out.
-Second, I think the biggest Phillip Lindsay storing no one is talking about is how quickly his eyebrows have come back in. Seriously, there is nothing this guy can’t do!
-On a more serious note, it looks to me like Derek Wolfe has lost a step through these first two weeks. Should someone else from our stable of D-line studs, like Shelby Harris, be getting starter reps instead?
-Finally, what would you say about Denver trying to trade Shane Ray to the Rams? He likely won’t be back next year. Meanwhile, LA needs outside linebacker pass rushers and there’s obviously the Wade Phillips connection. Thoughts?

Hey RK – gotta ask if you were there to witness the Colorado mascot’s self-inflicted gunshot wound? ???

Hey Ryan,
I got to call you out for throwing some shade on Cal Berkeley. A short history lesson: The university colors of blue and gold were chosen in 1873. Blue was considered because it reflected the sky and gold was selected because of California’s designation as the Golden State. Now I agree with you the uniforms could be MORE golden, but they’re pretty sweet as is. Regardless, blue and gold are the official colors. Finally, as every Berkeley alum will tell you, Cal has delivered Aaron Rogers, Jared Goff and Marshawn Lynch to the NFL in recent years. That deserves some respect, no? Just playing. 😉

If pacman can not go on Sunday, does that mean another job for Lindsey to fill in as punt returner and potentially shine. This one worries me more since he does not have a lot of experience in this area. Who do you think will return punts and how do you feel about them?

Hey Guys,
I’m a brand new subscriber and loyal Broncos fan from MN. I have a question that has been burning inside me for a while that I have to get your take on. Some co-workers invited me to play in their Madden Franchise league. In a random draw, I was assigned to be the Broncos GM in this league. It had to be fate. We are required to play on All-Pro difficulty which is well beyond my skill level. The potential for an 0-16 season is real. Obviously EA Sports completely underrated some crucial players on the Broncos roster, and I don’t think I can make the playoffs without replacing some current team members. Do I make some trades to cover up EA’s miscalculations or do I stay loyal to our star-studded roster and know in real life they’re headed to the playoffs? If I should make trades, who are you comfortable parting ties with so my team can have a better future? Thanks for your input!
PS: I cut Paxton Lynch before playing any games.

Hey guys, keep up the great work! Best Broncos coverage hands down and it’s not even close. I’ve got a quick question about the rookie class. Through two games Phillip Lindsey has been the crown jewel but was just curious where your predictions for the remainder of the season are now for the rookies we thought to be main contributors after the draft. Freeman looks good IMO and is a perfect compliment to Lindsey. Sutton was a bad call away from Mossing the DB last weekend and bursting onto the scene, I think he’ll put up big numbers. Chubb has been up and down from what I’ve seen and hasn’t generated as much of a pass rush as I expected but looked great in other areas. Josey Jewell has been a special teams ace and seemed to steal all the snaps from Davis in the final/most important few minutes of last weeks game. Curious on your thoughts there as well. I’m a little surprised that we haven’t seen much from DaeSean Hamilton yet on offense. Iknow he’s been playing a lot on special teams but figured he’d have a little more offensive production out of the gates than this.
Thanks fellas. Go Broncos
Pleasure Horse Bronco
Hey BSN Boys. When Ryan was talking about the gold vs. yellow thing I immediately thought of a conversation that I had this past weekend. Pleasure Horse was driving back from a gig on Sunday and listening to the Vikings/Packers game (keyboard player is from Wisconsin). They mentioned on the broadcast something about green and gold and I said I thought that it was more like green and yellow. She got a little defensive and said, “no, it’s gold.” I went on to ask her what color those cheese hats were to which she replied, “…gold.”
Glad we don’t have to live a lie in Broncos Country. Go Orange and Blue!
3 and Outstanding
I have concocted a surefire, brilliant way to ensure that Denver can beat the Ravens on Sunday. They just need to ensure that Rahim Moore is not on the team anymore.
The Ravens currently have the second lowest Offensive line grade in the NFL after week 2. Alex Collins highlight reel in 2018 is non-existent (Unless of course, you count videos of him losing a fumble.) All of the pregame talk in Baltimore is about getting the run game going this week. How viable is that for the Ravens? The closer I examine this Ravens team the worse they look. They embarrassed the Bills, but come on. It’s the Bills.
Am I naive for thinking we should dominate this game?

Is anyone else getting tired of Khalil Mack being overrated? For example his first half against the Packers was called “the greatest defensive half in NFL history” by Colin Cowherd. He had a 1 sack game and his interception was complete luck. The QB got hit and it fell right in his hands. Von is clearly the better player and I’m tired of him being disrespected. Khalil is great, but Von > Khalil.
