Can we get a pod featuring Andre (heck, maybe grab AJ too and just make it a full draft pod) covering the upcoming supplemental draft?

Edit: Meant to get to this after Wednesday’s pod, but forgot: Zac set the single pod record for curse words on “We Get Mad Wednesday.”

Madden is incredibly awful recently, so I would imagine our rookie rankings to be too. Interestingly though, I heard this year’s version is getting a serious upgrade to the superstar mode, where you are a franchise QB. This year I guess you start out as a college QB and go through a mini-season, then the offseason (including pro-day and combine) and then everything that real NFL QBs do post-draft that impacts their franchise will be incorporated into the game mood. My guess is they’re trying to build it like 2k’s My player mode. Could be interesting.
While seriously delayed I wanna touch on the whole rivalry discussion ya’ll had recently. While I agree the Patriots are definitely not our main rival I feel like our stories as franchises are heavily intertwined, whether it be players, coaches, or games. I could have the bias though because I am from outside Boston. Now on to the meaty stuff. While my brother no longer pays attention to football he was a Raiders fan when growing up, and nothing gives me more joy than telling how much his team sucks still. I recently became an uncle and you best believe every year my niece gets a new Broncos onesie, shirt, or jersey. Raiders suck and I can’t wait for them to become the new Browns of the league.
A fun podcast idea could be a “where are they now episode”. Could be either on the 2015 roster since almost everybody is gone from our team, this would be a more positive episode. OR you could a “where are they now” for the draft pick selections since 2015, could be interesting to hear what expectations were for when they were drafted, immediate gut reactions, then the moment you knew they wouldn’t last, and the reasons why they were cut. I know a number of our players didn’t last because of off-field issues or other reasons, but I feel like as a fan we don’t always know the whole story. By no means do I think I have the right to know every detail about an individual’s personal life, but being journalist, I feel like you guys might know details that could share some light on different players situations. For example, Monte Ball, you guys made a comment about his situation and how you were happy he was doing so much better. Until that comment, I thought he got cut cause he was just bad and that was the only reason.
I missed the question of the week, but I would give up a 2nd round pick for Corey Davis…. nice little insurance policy for Sanders.
RK I am glad you enjoyed your trip, I thought it was funny we were both on vacation at the same time. Don’t you hate how vacation weeks seem to go by so much faster than work weeks? Thank god we love our jobs.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Hey guys!
Would you rather have Wade Phillips or Vic Fangio as the Broncos defensive coordinator, if you could choose?

Hey, guys. Let me say that I’ve always felt that all Madden attributes are designed to throttle user talent. Once upon a time it was very simple. There were a few attributes and they were all very basic. Your player was fast, slow, could catch or not, could block or not. The QB was basically rated by overall accuracy and throwing power. It was fine. Then they decided to throw in a monkey wrench called “Awareness.” That single attribute controls how well your player can execute everything else. And it has to be absolutely frustrating to have some random nerd decide that you’re way too stupid to pick up the A gap blitz, or know when to look for a pass as a WR. The ratings are crazy. Take Drew Lock for example. Everyone knows the key issue with him is accuracy. But Madden has decided that Lock is more accurate the further down the field he throws. Lock’s accuracy is rated 77 short 79 medium and 80 deep. The PAC of 80 that you saw was for Play Action. That number is somehow way better than Kyler Murray who is at 71 for PAC even though Kyler’s agility is better. Murray’s accuracy is rated 82 short 78 medium 82 deep. Both are equally limited in awareness, 63 and 65. So, here’s a QB at the 42nd pick being basically just as good or better as the number 1 overall pick. Go figure.. EA really just wants you to throw your controller in anger..
Hey real quick, anyone whose sleeping on my boy Juwann Winfree is gonna be in for a rude awakening. In fact, DaeSean better watch his back. Winfree is gonna be moving up the depth chart if he’s 100% healthy.
Later, guys.

RK, that Vegas story was epic! I was laughing so hard at the image of you contemplating hugging that guy after he flipped you that $5,000 chip!
Me and my wife are going to Vegas for the first time at the end of this month. Outside of gambling, which I absolutely hate, what would you recommend doing while we are there? What is your favorite casino and restaurants?

Hey guys just wanted to say thanks for all the great off-season content! I found myself with a lot of time to pass over the weekend and I spent my time doing chores and listening to you guys and I honestly felt like I was hanging out with friends rather than just listening to something. It’s so fun to see narratives build on the show wether it’s sports related or not
Question 1: I wanted to ask you guys about our new offensive system, I know you two have been able to watch OTA’s and you’ll probably get a much better opportunity to watch the new offense come training camp. But without giving too much away can you elaborate on what our new offensive schemes are looking like? Maybe there is a team college or pro’s that you could compare it to? I understand it’s pretty top secret stuff but I’m just so curious!!
I’ve been able to watch Bears tape from the past season so I could get a little bit of an idea of what Vic has planned, especially seeing how Bryce Callahan was used in certain situations.
Question two: What parts of the Bears defense last year are you excited to see implemented in Denver?
Skipping question 3 for Mr. B!
Much love Zak and RK, you guys rule!

sorry for spelling Zac with a K!! I have a good friend who spells it Z-A-K and I am forever doomed to type it that way.

Hey bros! Haven’t commented in a while.
Excluding the possibility of the Broncos making the playoffs this year what is the best case scenario for our record at the end of the year?
Let’s say a record of 10-6 gets us in the playoffs so the options are anything from 0-16 to 9-7.
For me 6-10 would be the sweet spot. In my scenario Flacco goes 2-8 as a starter so they are forced to play Lock to see what he’s got. He comes in and goes 4-2 as a starter (this six game sample size should be enough to see if he’s got It.) that sets us up nicely for next year’s draft to start building around Lock and would probably keep the coaching staff mostly in tact, something the Broncos haven’t had in awhile.
It would suck to suffer through another year of losing but at least it would provide hope for the future!
Much love yall

Hey guys, new subscriber here. I’ve been listening to you guys since the draft when a friend of mine had told me that he would listen to podcasts about his team all the time. I googled, found you guys, and it’s been love since first listen.
By the way, just ordered my free t-shirt. Had to go with No. 30 and the mile high salute. Can’t wait to rep down here in Texas.
Thanks for all the great off season coverage and keep up the great work. You guys rock.
