I love Fire Up Friday! This should be a new segment you guys do! Each of you gives a vague pump up speech with some hints and at the end you reveal which player you’re speaking to who will also be your player to watch for the week!

Starting off as a previous resident of Guandong,China specifically southern China where Dim sum is famous. Dim Sum is…wait Awe”Sum” and I would eat it at least once a week. So dim sum is morning tea where you go for brunch, eat a bunch of different snack items and drink a bunch of tea, definitely recommended.

Onto questions, what do you all think of Craycraft? I think he is a piece that we have been missing and could be that slot guy we’ve wanted. Maybe this sounds bad but I think all teams need that little slot white guy. Look at Switzer for Steelers, Beasley for Cowboys, Edelman and Welker for the Pats so I think he could work the middle and could be utilized more if we set him up.

Thanks,
Xie Xie Go eat some dim sum

Wow, everyone here is so awesome. It’s so amazing to see all the donations for the kids pouring in. I changed the URL for the GoFundMe page to GoFundMe.com/BSNChristmas so you guys don’t have to keep reading off the generic one. The old link still works but this one is much easier to remember lol. Thanks again to all the generous hearts out there in the BSN family. You da real MVPs

Quick pre-game comment—I am EXCITED for this game, and it occurred to me that that’s actually a remarkable, great thing. There was a stretch of a few weeks where it felt like the season was mostly over, but here I am, still incredibly invested in week 14. So whatever happens this afternoon, I’m grateful to be so engaged and to be able to share the experience with an awesome community!

**By the way sorry if the yoga talk came across as a weird flex—I definitely don’t do yoga! I tried it a few years ago, but did one of the basic positions wrong and really quickly hyper-extended my elbow. I just happen to remember the names of a few funny poses I’ll never be able to do!

So that first half, ridiculously embarrassing. VJ better be shouting the riot act at players and coaches in the locker room.

I wasn’t expecting the Broncos to make a run at the playoffs this season. I had hoped they could at least go 8-8 to avoid a losing season and they still can.

Converting 4th down is nice, but constantly being in the position where you have to is not how you win football games.

As good as the rookie class is this year, you need veterans out there to balance it out. This game showed just how bad the injury situation is on the team.

Keenum has done a good job of cleaning up the turnovers in recent weeks. Now he needs to focus on throwing for 200 or more yards in a game.

Can the Broncos go 2-1 in the next 3 games to get to 8-8? Sure. Will they? Not playing like they did today.

Well the only good thing I can take from today’s game is that it might keep us from suffering another season under Vance Joseph.

So question: Whats your favorite sports movie?
On to next year. Go Broncos!

I only got to watch the first half of the Broncos game this week. Clearly, that was the worse half. Yikes.

Here’s my question: Is it ridiculous to say that Chris Harris is the most valuable player on the defensive side of the ball? I mean, Von is clearly the star on the D. But a pass rasher is a threat to make big plays a few times a game. Chris Harris affects the play every single time the opposing QB drops back because he completely eliminates one receiver almost every single play. Von Miller can really take over a game, but is Chris Harris quietly the more valuable player?

To start out my username is pronounced (Der-row) it’s my middle name and it’s French. It’s a strange name I know but it’s unique so that’s why I use it. I’ve been a subscriber since the offseason and finally have a question. Living in Seattle Washington i don’t get all the information I would want on the broncos so I’m very grateful I stumbled upon BSN you guys are the best and make it easier living around seahawk fans and the stupid 12’s. Now to the question. Coming from people that are in the building everyday of you two were in charge how would you turn this franchise around. We have a young core that is very promising and some great leaders. I know we can’t win the super bowl ever year but how do we get close to contending? I know Vance is a young coach and will make mistakes and I’m not calling for his firing like a bunch of people but would a fresh start be better? I hear harbough from the ravens being tossed around. Sorry for the long post. But as an FYI the burn on the roof of your mouth after eating a hot pocket is a battle wound worth having if you’re impatient and eating your first hot pocket like me a couple months ago.

BLUF; This isn’t a poem, I just wanted to clearly separate my thoughts. Don’t try to rhyme it.
I liked the speech, but y’all can’t steal fired up Friday’s from Big Al, he’s on another level with it.
As for the game last night, holy moley.
Vance is back on the hot seat.
Musgrave is a god awful play caller.
When Booker is on the field they might as well hold up a big sign on the sideline that says “we’re passing”.
I think they either need to stick with Lindsay or Freeman, neither can get a rhythm going like this.
Von, C’mon man. You let a practice squad QB bait you thrice.
That 3 game win streak had me feeling like this team had turned it around but this game was almost as bad as the Jets game.
Whoever is up in the box telling Vance when to challenge has to be a Raiders fan or something.
Can someone please explain to me how the Broncos script never works? The “15 or so” plays they practice all week? 3 and out every time.
Thank god Wadman learned how to punt after those first couple weeks or this score might have looked like Super Bowl 24.
Does this put to rest the VJ Vs Kyle debate? I hope I don’t keep hearing “but VJ has a better record”
I don’t know what happened this weekend but it sure feels like we’re on our way to that losing record.

Cullin' for Mullens

Cullin' for Mullens

December 10, 2018

I was conflicted writing this one. As to not rub salt in the wound, I won’t go on about Nick Mullens (George Kittle’s) greatness.

With January creeping, slowly drawing near
Playoff implications could not be more severe
As the Broncos hoped to give their win column a tick
Against the 49ers and their QB named Nick

The Niners started hot, with a big gain to Kittle
Then Gould sent the field goal right down the middle
Denver, however, was not feeling it today
For the first few times they punted it away

The defense fired up, with a Bradley Chubb sack
But the 49ers did not ease their attack
With another gain to Kittle, the Niners moved the sticks
And a field goal extended their lead to six

With the ball in their hands, one play was all they would need
As Kittle again made the Denver defense bleed
A completed short pass, Denver’s defense a mix
Number 85 went 85 for six

Von tried to take matters into his own hands
But for the third time in the game he was too quick to stand
The Niners continued to make plays a plenty
And at halftime it was zero to twenty

In the third quarter Chubb got his twelfth
Drawing comparisons to Miller himself
Then the offense finally started to play
As Lindsay opened their scoring for the day

The defense was back, the Niners on alert
But it was Denver’s offense which failed to convert
A pick from Stewart, Freeman’s ground and pound
Yet Denver couldn’t strike on crucial fourth downs

When they entered the red zone, what was Vance thinking?
Three straight passes on the one without blinking
But he saved some contempt, and gained some redemption
When DaeSean walked in for the touchdown reception

Six points down in the final five minutes
A stop and one drive could see Denver win it
But I guess that today it was not to be
As Mullens ran the clock out taking a knee…

But hold on a minute. What did they say???
Denver is getting one final play!
But it wasn’t to be, and Denver hearts ached
The Broncos couldn’t do it like the Dolphins and Drake

With three games left in this playoff bout
We assume the Broncos will have to win out
Though it may have seemed easy, this loss came at a cost
And now we can only sit and hope. Fingers crossed.

Man are the Steelers hot garbage or what? I still like vance. Seems Broncos country forgets just how terrible we were last year. 3-9 going into the Jets game. We were where San Fran was last year. They played a more physical game. Still saw some great flashes from rookies. Thanks for all the great content!

Totally jinxed it guys… I’m so sorry.

Wow, what a brutal loss. I guess there goes our playoff chances.

I know this doesn’t really help, but looking back on the draft, and knowing what we know now about the players in it, I have three questions:

1. Do you guys think that getting Chubb was the right choice (over Rosen)?

2. Had they gone with Rosen, is he starting at this point (or earlier in the season)?

3. What do you guys think this team’s record would be if we didn’t have Chubb, but had Baker Mayfield starting instead of Keenum?

I hate to go back to QB talk after a lot of positive progression from a lot of the young players, but I still don’t see them really clicking if they don’t get their guy at QB.

Hello fellas!

I wanted to start off with these two quotes!

“FLAT!” – Derek Wolfe

“I didn’t think we were flat!” -Case Keenum

In Keenum’s post presser it is baffling to see Keenum blame this lost to reasons unknown. I feel like Keenum has been very underwelming even winning our previous 3 games. It’s kind of depressing to see all the young talent at QB in the NFL SLING the ball, and not to mention making plays on their feet. Maybe it’s just the sadness from watching Mahomes destroy defenses with his arm and feet. We need something else guys… sigh.

Oh and Darian has broken my heart to many times. His play is such a rollercoaster. Lastly, Parks is better than Sua end of story. Sua needed to be benched way earlier. Sorry rant over. :))

BadOne Log 13:

I feel like a lot of people will blame Case for this loss or even say something like “if we had Baker or Rosen or anyone else..” But Case was running for his life all day long. That defensive line was having a field day pushing our guys around and it got worse when they blitzed. We have a lot of positives we can lean on for next year, we know what players we have can battle and who we need to build around. This feels like last year’s NYG game does it not?

Where was Sutton at? this was his chance to be the guy and he didn’t really do anything. Anyways it was fun to ride this winning high and dream of making a historical comeback to the playoffs 🙁

PS. why do all CBS announcers hate the Broncos? no matter who is working the games they always throw shade at us and they take the other teams side.
