I could’ve sworn you guys were confused about if a diamondback was a rattlesnake or not during the Arizona week but maybe it was a different pod or maybe at the ripe age of 19 dementia is setting in who knows

And by the way the Texans only playoff win under Bill O’Brien was against the carr-less raiders so I count that as one of the weakest playoff wins in history

Or as Ryan might say without a carr the raiders weren’t going anywhere

To Zac and Ryan of BSN
Hello and good day to you my friends
At least, I thought you were to be
The friends I hoped you’d be to me
But now I see you have your man
(It’s Cullin’ for Mullens as it stands)
But in the pod dated November 5th
You threw the gauntlet and left me miffed
You gave me a challenge I could not deny
So this is my poetic reply

‘Should we run or should we throw?”
Coach Joseph thought as time ran low
As it stands a kick of 50 +
But down by 2 it would be enough
“I’ll blame McManus if we miss the kick
Anyway it’s better then throwing a pick”
Across the field stands his former star
Relived to be watching this from afar
“We try to win over here”
Thomas says with a tinge of a leer
Next to him stands Bill O’Brian
Know to you guys as Coah Bill O’ Lyin’
But now the kick is up and it misses wide
And all we can do is cry and sigh

“3 days later I’m still not fired?!”
VJ thinks, his mind so tired
Then Coah yells “what’s this I hear?”
As news of a press conference grips him with fear
“What should I do? What should I think?”
VJ shouts as Musgrave blinks
“I have no words should I fake this?
I know! I’ll say we had a good practice”

I feel like we did not talk enough about rushing McManus before the half to quick kick instead of calling the timeout we were saving for…who knows what. Joseph needs to have things figured out.

Is there any benefit to trying to cut some of the carries of Royce and Lindsay to save them for the following season? Run Booker as yuck as that sounds save the miles for another season.

Thanks OGMVP

Hey Ryan and Zac,

On the last Podcast you said you were very confident Vance Joseph would not be returning as Head Coach next year. Its sad that were talking about this in November but I was wondering if you guys could put together a list of 3 candidates who would be on your “realistic” list to replace Vance. (Realistic as possible Candidates, we all know the chances of Lincoln Riley leaving OU is not very high, at least not in my opinion.)

My wish list goes like this:
1. John Defilippo – Young Offensive mind
2. John Harbaugh – Experienced Super Bowl winner
3. Dino Babers – Do not know much about him but I have heard Andrew Mason rave about him and I trust Mase’s Opinion

You guys could do a list together or if your opinions differ you could each do your own.

Last, but not least, thank you for giving us something to look forward to even though the Broncos Season is essentially over right now. The Podcast still goes strong and that is a credit to you guys and your work ethic!

Thanks Guys

BadOne Log #5:

Hi guys I wanted to float something out there for you guys to discuss. Looking ahead to the coaching search in the offseason, I know we want to hire someone that can help the young players on this offense play to their best ability. How come no one ever talks about the OC from the Saints (Peter Edwards Carmichael Jr.) he has been with Sean Payton since 2006 as the QB coach and has been labeled the OC since 2009. I know Payton is the true genius behind the offense BUT Carmichael has had a front seat to all the successful offensive years in New Orleans. I see Lindsey / Freeman in a similar role as Kamara / Ingram. I see Sanders / Sutton working the outside like Michael Thomas. Just a thought I would like to get your input on.a

Hey guys

When you said you thought you were having a funny week last week, well you definitely were but you always do! Nice one for making me chuckle on a regular basis.

Anyway so as we go in to this bye week it feels like we all know that the season is done, Vance is done at the end of the year and Case Keenum isn’t the future.

So question in terms of coaching, I’ve heard you guys throw some names out there. Who are these guys, who are your favourites and what’s their pros and cons?

Also if there’s not a QB available this next close season would you exchange the high draft pick for many picks to totally rebuild the O line? 5 players in the top 3 rounds?

Nice one as always

Can you explain the Broncos’ obsession with “the formula”? Maybe I’m way off here, but I can’t think of any good teams that rely on the same formula week-by-week to win games. Look at the Nuggets (different sport, oh well)… their “formula” is to play elite offense and simply outscore the other team. The offense hasn’t been there for them yet this year, but they’re 9-1 because they are winning in different ways every night. So what can the Broncos do to become a team that doesn’t have to rely on “the formula”? Is it a roster construction problem or a VJ problem?

Hey Ryan and Zac,
I started listening to you guys in early August in order to keep myself sane while working at my terrible job at Wendy’s in NH (in case they don’t have Wendy’s at the rock that Zac lives under, that’s a popular fast food restaurant here in New England) and I really enjoy all of your content. I was planning on just being someone who lurks in the shadows and listens without subscribing, but when you guys suggested putting honey on pizza crusts, I realized I had to pay you guys back somehow, and the awesome deal with the shirts this weekend was a perfect opportunity to do so.
I have two questions:
1. Why don’t the Broncos pitch the ball to Lindsay more? He’s quick and elusive and one of the few times that I’ve seen it happen (this weekend) he broke out for one of his biggest runs of the day. It seems to work well in Madden, so why not in real life?

2. What do you guys think about drafting/getting a mobile QB? Denver hasn’t had a true, quaility mobile QB in quite some time, and I feel as though having a more consistent Cam Newton kind of player will take some pressure off of the O-line’s shoddy pass protection, and could give the Broncos an entire new threat on offense with more option plays and QB draws, if they can change their offense to make it work well.

Sorry for the long comment, I’ll keep it shorter in the future, and thanks for the great content,
Cole

I’m not sure if Klis was speaking in jest, or blowing smoke up peoples nethers when he suggested this week that Denver is poised to win out and go 10-6 on this season. Either way its a level of optimism that I am just not sure I can get to.

Maybe it’s just that I no longer see Denver having a shot at the playoffs, or it could just be the bye week but I am just not concerned with how Denver does this season anymore. Even if they somehow find a way to squeak into a wildcard spot I don’t see how they could make a deep run in the playoffs. In a way that’s kind of a relief. There is enough negativity surrounding this team right now. I’m not sure the stress and anger its caused is worth the hassle.

I’m going to start looking at this team and this season from a new angle. Since this season is clearly going nowhere, now might be a good time to look at what the future options are. Who can we get in the draft this offseason to help the team, what good coaching options will there be at seasons end? These are the questions that matter now. I don’t see Vance keeping his job after this season. I’d be pretty shocked if he does.

What can we make of the rumors that Elway is shopping around for a college coach in the offseason? What candidates would even make sense to bring to the NFL from the college level? With Elway’s ties to Stanford what about David Shaw? He seems to already run an NFL style gameplan. Would he make the jump?

Earlier in the season, I think after the Ravens loss, I commented about how it looked like DT just didn’t want to be out there for the Broncos. You were reasonably hard on the comment (no offense taken at all, you guys are awesome). Looking back now, after DT’s recent comments, things like “That’s how they do it here” and not being named a captain, etc., do you think he really didn’t want to be here anymore? It could just be him being a bit whiny now, but it sounds deeper than that to me. I think he sounds relieved to be out of Denver and our currently terrible situation. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!
