I was there. First game in Denver. The energy from the fans was incredible. Disappointed that loss came how it did.

Expanding on what you guys said, I was muttering frustrated ramblings under my breath as precious seconds ran off the clock in the last 30 seconds. The coaching decision left me in shock. All of this after we somehow found a way to overcome the penalties and get 2 first downs on 4th on the very same drive. If you can’t be confident in your offense in those last 40 seconds, you don’t have the mental fortitude to be a head coach in the NFL. It wasn’t a choice to be conservative, Vance just doesn’t have the nerve. All of that is very sad considering we brought him in to be “a leader of men.” There’s a saying, “you can lead a horse to water, but can’t make him drink.” Vance can’t even lead the horse to water. I don’t know what he is, but he’s certainly not a leader of men.

And maybe seeing that kind of game, first hand, is what did me in. But that is literally the first time I have ever stated that Vance Joseph cannot be a head coach in the NFL. I’ve had my frustrations. But the way he handled his team on Sunday was incomprehensible, and I’m done. I’m done with him. The players played there ass off yesterday and almost every important head coach decision he had to make, he made wrong. His challenge was a wasted time out. His clock management was awful. He put McManus into a bad position with a terrible decision at the half. To make things worse, there’s a chance that the missed 62 yarder may have affected his mindset on the last kick at the end of the game. Vance gave away points. When did he help the team with a decision? Did he?

Sorry. Rant over.

Don’t worry Ryan I still love you I can’t blame you for both my teams making poor coaching decisions and about hocksenson I think he’s a better talent because of his blocking ability and his consistency between the 20’s fantasy is undoubtedly a better red zone target but vanishes outside of it and his numbers seem to support that low receiving yards but a lot of touchdowns but anyways on to what I really wanted to ask/say

I know you guys are all in on waiting until 2020 for a QB but what about trading for stafford

he has underachieved in terms of wins and losses but has a ton of talent and with Detroit at the bottom of a division that has three playoff contenders ahead of them they may be looking towards the distant future with Patricia’s guy

so how would you feel about sending over our 2020 and 2021 first round picks to them for him? It gives us a chance at winning in 2019 and takes the pressure off of elway to draft a QB

Also of note there’s a few things on the podcast that I feel like I could clear up for you guys
the Sutton pitch to sanders was ruled incomplete so it wasn’t a turnover so only booker and keenum have turned the ball over
a diamondback is a rattlesnake and is the most well known one that is in all the western movies
And the reason Deasaun Watson took the bus instead of flying was because he had a partially collapsed lung and cracked ribs and the gas inside his lung could expand due to cabin pressure causing a great deal of pain

Sorry that last but was random I’ve been meaning to say some of that stuff for awhile and of course procrastinated about it to the point that it became awkward

Anyways have a great day everyone

I have a theory, “Cullin’ for Mullens” is Adam Sandler’s character from Mr. Deeds. Get that man a Hallmark contract. As for the game on Sunday, I’m tired of sitting in the bar listening to other people cheer and have a great time watching their teams win while I sit and watch Murphy’s law play out for us every game. I propose a new law; Vance’s Law, any decision that should be made, won’t be made. I want to compare the Broncos to Popeye’s spicy chicken strips. Every time I go in with hope and optimism and a couple hours later I’m hating life. Speaking of Popeye’s, McManus was out there choking like he was eating those savory buttery biscuits without a drink. If Zac says he hasn’t had Popeye’s I’m going to start a GoFundMe campaign to expand his food horizons. Also, can we get Keenum in the freaking weight room? Get that dude some protein, his arm is weaker than Paradis’ fibula. Yeah yeah, too soon.
TL;DR mmmm Popeye’s

Also the knock on wood thing was sort of a joke but that’s 2 weeks in a row I’ve predicted a weird thing for the game. Stay tuned for my week 11 prediction.

I second the F*****g motion on the GoFundMe campaign. Zac really needs some education in the food department.

And I can use bad language because I am, in fact, not Tim Tebow.

God Bless.

I’m at work listening to podcast and just had a quick thought I’d like to hear your take. I got a feeling a couple weeks ago that VJ either will make it through the season or be treated as the scapegoat after the team reaches 9 losses. With no back to back sub 500 seasons I have a weird feeling he won’t be fired until that happens (midseason that is)

Ok, I am NOT “Conspirscy Guy.”

I believe we landed on the moon.
I believe Elvis is dead.
Oswald acted alone.

But…

I’m starting to believe John and VJ had a conversation a couple of weeks ago where it was decided that VJ would be retained next year in exchange for losing as many games as possible, with instructions to make it look like we are trying to win so the fan base doesn’t burn down mike high. John says “Keep it close and make it look good, Vance”. How else does one explain the ridiculous decisions being made with not running the ball, not getting closer to kick the game winning field goal, and not throwing it to Sutton? VJ has nothing to lose – no team would hire him to coach again any time soon, so he can rebuild his brand next year after a bad couple of seasons to start. John retains his win-now message while secretly planning for the future. It’s the secret tank.

My question – is there any chance this is true? God help us.

Ok, and to keep the poems going-

Roses are Red
I live next to a cactus
Vance better not say
We had an excellent practice.

Second to last in relevance but first in your hearts …

I have a theory. And it’s the only one The makes any logical sense to me.
I think Ellis and Elway know they screwed up keeping Vance this year and they regret it now and they both know he is a bad HC.
But seeing as we’re out of it this year and Elway is too prideful of “tanking” he decided to keep Vane the rest of the year and that is his version of Tanking.
If we get a interm HC our team might actually get a moral boost and things might change and we might actually win games. And we can’t go 8-8 and get a pick at 15ish or so.
We have a much better chance of sucking it up and losing the rest of the games with Vance at the helm ruining things.

But here’s the kicker, he doesn’t discuss anything with VJ and let’s him believe he’s believing in him. I came to this conclusion after reading DTs comments yesterday about when VJ came up to him and told him “not to listen to the trade talk it’s not true.”
I don’t think VJ was lying, I truly think Elway no longer discusses anything long term with VJ because he no longer believes in him and is just waiting to relieve him of his duties.

For me, it’s not the constantly questionable playcalling of the coaches. Nor is it the absurd amount of penalties the O-line has drawn. It’s not even the near misses and almost scores that have eventually lead to the losing record.

It’s the unwillingness to accept that what they are doing isn’t working. Every week it’s the same lines. “We are playing fine. We just need to correct a few minor mistakes. We are almost there.”

That’s the thing. They are not minor mistakes. They are not playing fine. Clearly, as their record indicates, they are not “almost there”.

“I need to do a better job. That’s on me.”

We have heard that line almost every week. Yet, nothing changes. It’s the same excuses every week. They don’t learn from those mistakes, and they continue to do the same things over and over that cost them games. This week Elway stated, “I think there’s enough good things that are going on as far as us and the way that we’re playing … I’m much more encouraged this year than I was last year.”

Denver is heading to the same or a worse record than they had last year, but this is the party line they are running with.

Everything is fine, we are good enough. That is what the coaching staff and the front office is telling us. The thing is the players don’t believe it. The fans don’t buy it and stating it over and over doesn’t make it come true.

DT just called out Denver’s front office for this very thing. They are not being honest and everyone knows it.

Remember when Elway was calling for “Kicking and Screaming”?? How do you justify keeping VJ with this type of sawft playcalling??
