Hello Andre and AJ, question for you. Elway clearly prioritizes having a strong secondary, signing and drafting CBs almost every year. Assuming Denver doesn’t draft a corner in the 1st, who are some mid round options to keep an eye on. I’ve seen Rock Ya-Sin mocked to them frequently, but personally I like Joejuan Williams in the 3rd. I can’t scout CBs because I constantly get frustrated at their near universal lack of effort in run support, so I need the pro’s opinions.

Although I agree that Devin White is a great prosepect, I’m wondering why Todd Davis or Josey Jewell couldn’t fit the same role? Are there traits that Fangio is looking for, better suited for a Devin White? What exactly is the role of THAT linebacker in a Fangio defense?

Hey BroncoDuck,

We’ll answer your question on the pod but for a more in-depth breakdown that specifically answers your question here’s our/my film room on Fangio’s defense and what it means to the Broncos roster. This directly answers your question while using some visual evidence.

I know you’re a new subscriber so you might’ve missed it but it’s worth a read ;).

Hello from Rochester Andre and AJ.
AJ you were 100% correct on where my name came from. So many people have chosen food related names and I thought taking the name of a local masterpiece would be fitting. Spread the glory of Rochester’s finest delicacy far and wide AJ, the people of the world need to know about it. You guys mentioned that you’re starting to dig into smaller school guys. Are there any names that we should know from smaller schools of guys that you really like and are possibilities for the Broncos to draft?
Thanks as always!

Dre,

At first, I was thinking about John Brown in Denver as a field stretcher with Flacco, but then I remembered he had sickle cell trait.

With the combine coming up, when do find out, if at all, which players in the NFL draft are more or less ruled out as being Denver Broncos because of sickle cell trait or sickle cell anemia?

Do we already know and it is accounted for on draft boards? Is it a test done at the combine? Is it just a player’s own word? It seems like the league wouldn’t have the same interest in getting to the bottom of it and requiring a blood test for this specific condition during a physical as the Broncos obviously would.

This comes up with John Brown now and I remember problems with Ryan Clark in a famous 2011 game as well as Geno Atkins.

Thanks!

I know this a draft podcast but I have some FA questions.. if Denver can’t land Amos, what do you think of Landon Collins or HaHa Clinton-Dix as far as scheme? What about Adam Humphries as a slot WR? Is that even his role? Also wouldn’t mind Cameron Brate if they don’t bring back Jeff Heuerman! Thanks guys!
