Speaking of positions becoming more or less valuable with the way the NFL is trending wont free safety’s become more valuable especially in a press man scheme?
Between all the shifts, misdirection and spread formations there’s a lot more routes for them to read and because of that a much smaller margin for error and we’ve see that without a true free safety in our defense it can lead to a lot of big plays being given up and even has in my opinion played a large part in changing our scheme to more off man so our corners wont get burnt by speed as much but then we’re crushed by the run and underneath routes
so barring a scheme change wouldn’t it be smart to take Deionte Thompson the only true free safety in the draft so we can have our corners play the way theyre meant to both schematically and physically?

Hey Andre, I love all the great work. Keep it up! This isn’t really a draft question, but it’s an Andre question.
Dude, you know the X’s and O’s of football, and I love listening to it. Could you do an offseason podcast series or youtube series talking about football strategies/schemes/how to watch for that stuff?
I have a pretty high understanding of football at the level that commentators and most media present the game- time management strategy, play types, stats, etc. I want to know the details! Such as the strengths and weaknesses of different defensive packages and offensive looks, etc. I’d tune in for every episode!
