Make The Broncos Great Again

Make The Broncos Great Again

Hey Zach, you wrote: “During the start of OTAs in the spring, most defenses have the upper hand. The same is true at the start of training camp. The same is true at the start of preseason. And, believe it or not, the same is true at the start of the regular season.”

I agree with everything but the last sentence, in certain cases. Cases, like the Broncos, where the team is completely overhauled with a new QB, new HC, new OC, and reworked offensive line. Opposing defenses have zero tape on what we are going to do right now. That puts the Broncos at an advantage at the beginning of the season. I think thats why we went 6/0 to start off the Josh McDaniel’s era. I think that’s why we won the first few games of the last two seasons, because we had new QB’s and opposing defenses didn’t know what to expect. Heck, because he’s never done this before, opposing defenses can’t even go back and see what type of system Rich Scangarello ran last year. I think all these unknowns give the Broncos the upper hand, until opposing defenses get us on tape and can begin to formulate how to game plan against us. Just my 2c. Thanks for all you guys do and for the great content!
