Again on paper these look like great ideas at the beginning of the season, but you don’t know how things will trend for some of these players.

Wow! These comparisons are painful! Kuechly? Jones? Adams? Matt Ryan! I have to admit I expected a comparison to the newest Bear in there too. Love Von to bits but certainly not value for money.

Way too early to say this yet, but give the choice of Greedy Williams or Justin Herbert in the next draft, which way would you go? My vote is Greedy, giving Kelly a year to see how he goes and, if it goes badly, welp, less distance to move up to get a top QB.

Also, I’m convinced 2020 draft will be in Last Vegas and taking the first pick at the Raiders draft would be awesome!

Those are money comparisons! Know how much you like the puns.

All of this, I think, comes down to coaching. VJ looks lost on the sidelines and I’m really wondering about his staff, particularly the QB coach and the OC. Do you think Case has a case of happy feet? As in his footwork stinks? And no play action, as you noted on the pod. That’s coaching.

To me this is all about how the coaches motivate the players. The risk after getting paid the big contract is a drop-off in production, but that’s where you hope the player has enough self-motivation there and of course the coaches keep them fired up and operating at a high-level. To see the length of that list makes it seem that it’s an epidemic in the organisation, including up to Big John.
