I wanted Barrett to get more snap when he was with the Broncos because he was playing better than Shane Ray. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted Ray to do well, but thought Barrett earned more playing time because of his on field production.

Happy that he got a chance with the Broncos and made a good career for himself. Hope he has no sacks on Sunday, but former Broncos usually come back to haunt them. My favorite story along those lines is Ted Gregory, the Broncos first round pick (26) in 1988. It was a very different draft process then and, apparently, the Broncos underestimated the effect of the knee injury he suffered in his last college game. He played so poorly in camp that the Broncos traded him to the Saints for another failed first round pick, Shawn Knight. He played in only 3 games for the Saints and a knee injury derailed his career. However, he did have one career sack. Against the Broncos.
