

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Jaylen Waddle‘s preseason debut with the Denver Broncos went exactly according to plan.
On just the third play of the game, Bo Nix found his newest playmaking receiver for a 35-yard completion. It turned out to be the longest play of the game, for either team.
“I’m glad he got an explosive. I’m glad he got a touch early in the first drive. That was definitely the goal going into the game,” Davis Webb said on Tuesday, discussing that play.
Denver‘s new offensive coordinator then took a friendly dig at his former teammate.
