One day after having to say goodbye to more than 30 players, the Broncos have a chance to get some of them back on Sunday.
If a player clears waivers, the team has the ability to add them to their 10-man practice squad.
Conversely, the Broncos also have the opportunity to put a claim in on players who were cut by other teams, and they rank fifth in the claim process.
We’ll track all the moves here.
Waiver claims
Practice Squad
Carlos Henderson (WR) (Starts season on reserve/suspended list)
*Note: Isaiah McKenzie was originally on this list as he posted that he’s “back” with the Broncos, but as the list has grown to 11 players—with Henderson being on the reserved list—it appears McKenzie is not on the practice squad. We’ll keep an eye on the situation.
*Update: The Broncos have placed safety Su’a Cravens on IR and signed Isaiah McKenzie back to the 53-man roster in his place (per Mike Klis of 9 News)

Hoping to see Jeff Holland’s name pop up on that Practice Squad list soon.

Hahaha! Don’t know much about Hogan but I’ll give him a chance!

GM John Elway caps off a great offseason with the cutting of Paxton Lynch. Bring on the regular season.
Hogan was 7/9 for 88 yds and 2Tds in the third preseason game against Denver. Lynch 3/7 for 39 yds.
Hogan’s overall preseason stats – 43/67 462 yds 5 TDs & 2 INTs.
Lynch’s overall preseason stats – 28/44 230 yds 2 TDS & 1 INT.
I think it’s a win aside from the fact Lynch was officially a first round bust for the Broncos. Hopefully “Chelly”makes us forget about Lynch and keeps Hogan riding in the 3rd String position. Looks like our practice squad shaped up very nicely except De’Angelo going to the Jets.

Oh Yeah. That Hogan!

Too bad De’Angelo is already gone. I would have hoped Denver would have put him on the team i stead of McKenzie. With Lindsay and Jones, I just dont see the need for another returner (who is nicknamed fumblina until proven otherwise). Put Hola d on the team.
