At the end of the third quarter, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas found himself in rare Broncos territory.
With the longest play from either team on the afternoon in the 23-0 blowout win, Thomas shot past Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe for second all-time in Broncos’ receiving yards (8,475), and he did so in 58 fewer games.
Not only was it a historic day for receiving yards for the veteran pass catcher, Thomas also past Sharpe in all-time touchdowns with 56 after first-quarter score; only the great Rod Smith has more yards and touchdowns in a Broncos’ uniform than the former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket.
