So is Chad 6’8″ or 6’2″? And is Paxton still tall?

Traylor’s comment kinda seems to me like the “I’m gonna play the fence and not take sides” generic comment

Haha yeah, both of their comments were very politician-like

One factor that I see playing a role in this competition is that Chad Kelly’s style of play, along with his size and pocket presence, seam much closer to Case’s. If for some reason the backup QB has to come in, even if only for a series or two, I see great value in having a QB change that won’t effect the flow and rythum of the offense.

On another note… I can honestly say that I was very bummed out that we didn’t pick up Christian McCaffrey in the draft. The more I see and hear about Phillip Lindsay, the more I forget about what we may have missed out on in that draft.

*RK – Do you think it’s possible that the coaching staff has had similar buyers remorse since the 2017 draft that is now being remedied with the adddition of Phillip Lindsay? Maybe buyers remorse isn’t the words I’m searching for, but you know what I’m getting at.

There was such a focus on the much needed “juice” that never materialized last year. One can easily imagine the coaching staff dreaming up electric change of pace plays last season that could never be properly executed without that final piece in the offense. There was hope that other draft picks would fill that role, but those plans all failed to materialize. Von even recently talked about every team’s need for a player of that type, “and now we have one”, he said.

I totally get what you are saying there. Funny, I actually mentioned something similar on the podcast today, but the comparison I used was Austin Ekeler, a fellow undrafted prospect out of Colorado, who made a big impact for the Chargers last year.

Von was right that you need a guy like that and Von was right that they now have a guy like that.

I think a big thing to consider is that McCaffrey was not available at that time and to have moved up that far for a RB is a little rough.
